This review is for The Christmas Shop and Timber Creek. First I would like to say that I have probably driven by this place a hundred times or more and never paid attention until the episode of Evening Magazine. After that I had it on my list of places to visit. Pulling into Timber Creek can be a little bit of a challenge in a sense that you can drive right past and miss the small parking lot that only has space for less than a dozen cars. But at Christmas time Timber Creek opens up the other side of the shop which is really where the owners actually live when they are here and it is not near the holidays. Once you pass through the gate as person will greet you and perform a temperature check. Once inside the first area you will absolutely go into sensory overload. The sights, sounds and smells are amazing. The amount of items in the area are overwhelming and you will have to take a couple loops around the area to see everything. Once you exit that area to make room for others, there is another area that is mainly a covered area with more displays. Now into the third area. Once again so much so see and smell is everywhere. They have all major movies covered with items from the movie that are pretty impressive. The pricing on the items are pretty reasonable and the selection is fantastic. Everone working there is so nice and polite. If you are looking to get to a happy place, this might be the place to visit. Even if you do not buy anything, the experience is worth the visit.

I hired them to repaint my main floor and the transformation is simply incredible. My home now feels brighter, more modern, and much more cohesive. Soren handled the initial walkthrough and bid, and I immediately felt comfortable with his professionalism, attention to detail, and straightforward communication. Gabriel managed the project and his crew throughout the job, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The American Classic Painters team was extremely pleasant to work with and completed the project exactly within the timeline they promised. Their prep work was thorough, the lines are clean, and the overall finish quality is excellent. What really stood out was how seamless the entire process felt--clear communication and a final result that exceeded my expectations at a very fair price. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality, professional paint job.

We set up a weekend for him to come to my house to assess the job but when I tried to narrow down a time, via text, he simply ghosted me and hasn't responded to me since.

If you value honesty, accountability, and your time, don't bother with this company. For the time…read moreyou're going to waste you could schedule with someone else. If you want more detail, read on. I scheduled an appointment with this company three weeks before the install date. I provided in detail what I wanted for my home and my yard. I even texted and emailed pictures from the previous year. I informed it was a "straightforward job" and received a quote, via text. In the text, I was informed the yard lights would have to be assessed on the day of the install but would be anywhere from $75-$150 extra. Roger calls on the afternoon of the day of the install and tells me he needs to push it back to the next day due to being busy. Calling the afternoon of the day of the installation to cancel was unprofessional, yet I agreed to reschedule. The following day Roger calls after he has arrived at my home. He provided no notice he was on his way. I was not home but turned around and arrived home in less than ten minutes. Roger tells me he did not have any information on what the job was supposed to look like and never saw any pictures. This is silly as I texted it to the same phone number he had been calling and texting me from previously. I also emailed the pictures. If he didn't know what the job was supposed to look like it made no sense why his crew had already begun installing lights on my house, which I immediately informed him were the wrong color. I provided Roger with the SAME pictures I had already texted and emailed him. He stated he didn't have the multicolored lights I requested for a tree on the side of my home. Roger said, "I don't know, I could just wrap it in white lights or something." For this one skinny Juniper tree, which was approximately 12 feet high, he attempted to charge me $150 for ONE tree...with the WRONG lights. I was informed verbally and by text message (from his number) the lights in the yard would be $75-$150 total. Roger attempted to hustle me because his crew had already started the job. I instructed him to remove the lights and leave. In summary, Roger canceled on the afternoon of the install, arrived on the rescheduled date with no notice, started the job allegedly with no information and the wrong equipment, then tried to hustle me for more money on the spot. He didn't even take accountability for anything and tried to put it all on his employee, Angel. Don't bother with this guy.

Aside from the service (more on that below), I find they usually have a decent stock of a variety of plants and they're usually pretty healthy, if a bit pricey compared to big box retailers. I do still prefer to shop here because it feels better than spending at a big box store but it also didn't take much research to discover Pacific Topsoils is owned by GRO-Well Brands, which is itself a conglomerate and by no means a local or small business, which I've seen some reviews assume. Service wise, it all depends on who you talk to and what mood they're in. Recently, I called to check on a product and the young man who answered brusquely said they didn't have it, so I caved and ordered it from Amazon. Then, I went to pick up some plants and discovered they had what I'd called about. I told the older gentleman who was ringing me up about the exchange and he somewhat rudely just said, "well, we always have that in stock," like I should've known, not the other employee who should've known. On the other hand, he did put out a call for someone to help me with the several bags of soil I ordered and a friendly young gal answered. She had clearly been working hard all morning but she wa so helpful and asked if there was anything else she could help me with before she left to assist another customer she noticed. If all the employees had her friendliness and pep, this place would get 5 stars, easy.
