This rustic farm is open for u-cut Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. Bonus: they have an on-site drink stand offering a wide variety of hot chocolates and lattes. They also have goats and donkeys for viewing. The prices are pretty steep. We paid $168 for our 7 foot tree. We cut it ourselves and a guy came over pronto to cart it away and bailed it for us. When we got home, I was surprised to find that it had not been shaken (although I had noticed they had a shaker) and there were lots of loose, dead needles, and a patch of mud that was really hard clean off of the lower branches. Big ol' kudos are deserved for Snow Valley! What a wonderful place to head to when shopping for your tree and seasonal decorations! My wife and I were looking and looking all fall for places that might be good for us to hit once tree season came along. We love cutting down our own tree and all the rituals that come with the season. We also love places that are family friendly, peaceful, and simple. With Snow Valley, we found it all. Friendly and accommodating staff, literally thousands of trees to choose from, and not all of the hoopla that some area places have with carnival-like games and rides. They have a small barn space that has pre-made wreaths and garland, a walk up cafe with coffee, cocoa, and donuts, and acres upon acres of trees! Walking through the fields, saw in hand, looking for the perfect tree.....ah, one of the best feelings of the holiday season! We really like Snow Valley Christmas Tree Farm! We come here every year. They have a wonderful selection of super tall trees (12+ feet). The field can get crazy muddy, so wear your tall rubber boots! My kids absolutely love the animals and free hot chocolate. But our most favorite thing about this place (besides the trees) are the homemade donuts!! So good! I've tried sending a message via their website for either the recipe or at least the type of donut (I'm pretty sure they're cake donuts but I'm not quite sure). We just picked out our first Washington Christmas tree after moving into the area from NY. Found Snow Valley on google, and when we called to ask if it would be okay to bring our two dogs along with us Ed, the owner, told us we were more than welcome to bring them out to the farm. When we arrived at Snow Valley we were immediately greeted by the family, and Ed explained the grounds and where each kind of tree was growing. They have lots of beautiful thick and fragrant trees growing on their farm. Once we picked our tree and cut it down with the saw they provided (which happened to be a really sharp, easy to use hand saw compared to most Christmas Tree Farm saws I've used) we marked the tree and they took a four wheeler out to pick up the tree for us. They bailed the tree and provided twine so that we could tie it down on car. Overall a really awesome experience. Family owned and newer Christmas tree farm that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality tree. We'll definitely be going back next year. read more

Visited mid-December and picked up an 8'er. The young man working followed us out and cut it down, hauled it on his quad, AND helped me throw it on the car. But that's not the best part. I made a promise to the kids that we wouldn't pull the tree down until it dried out. GUYS, it's Feb 7th and this thing is STILL GOING and not dropping needles (picture below is from today). Finally stopped drinking the water up last week. It's honestly a little ridiculous. If I didn't know better I'd plant the thing in the ground in my backyard. Will be back next year. read more

We were really excited when we visited this Christmas tree farm last year because it was the first time we had ever been to one. Being from Hawaii, Christmas tree farms were things you only read about in books or saw in movies, but never had the opportunity to experience. Our hopes were high. But the selection was bleh. We walked around for what felt like hours trying to decide on which tree we would settle on, because in all honesty, after walking in circles, the excitement had worn off and the fatigue and boredom had set in. We finally settled on a tree, my husband cut it down, and after running a worker down to help take it to the entrance, we waited. After watching our tree just thrown on the ground right in front of the baler, we waited for almost an hour before someone helped us and baled the tree. During this time, we made the mistake of paying, and then we waited and watched as every other customer had their tree baled while ours just laid there. Customers who had just had their trees brought to the area were helped instantly upon their arrival...while we waited. When I finally got someone to help us (help might be the wrong word) they provided a plethora of excuses and then proceeded to ask if we would want it brought to the car. Uhh...no. I was over this - the substandard trees, the farm in general, and especially the lack of customer service. If I hadn't already paid for it, I honestly would have left the sub-par tree there on the ground and we would have driven away. Note - I explained the situation before my tree was baled and kindly asked for my money back, but to no avail. Lesson learned. Next time, pay AFTER you've been helped, but it'd probably be easier to just find another farm. We ended up donating that tree, and buying a beautiful tree elsewhere. We are planning on going to a Christmas tree farm again this year, as we are still on the hunt for that picturesque Christmas holiday tradition that we were hoping for last year, but as you can imagine, we will not be returning to THIS Christmas tree farm. read more

Great place to get a tree! We went out and picked a tree, had the guy cut it down (or you can do it yourself) and he put it in the ATV and brought the tree up to wrap it. Very accommodating people and beyond nice. They take cash, debit or credit card. The finishing touch was the complimentary hot chocolate, cider and treats. Kids loved it!!! We returned to Snow Valley yesterday after stumbling on this farm in '2012. What a huge difference. They definitely worked the kinks out and have 40 acres of amazing Christmas trees. If you're in the hunt for a Noble, search no more. They have a thousand or so to chose from....way better than last year. We first went to Carnation Tree Farm. Very commercial, cute, but what a terrible selection of trees. I guess they are under new ownership...you can tell. We also went to Ronnei down the road. Great place. Huge beautiful trees, but their selection of Nobles we're pretty weak. Love Snow Valley. Great family! So friendly. We will be back!! read more

I had a great experience here! I had never been to any Christmas tree farms in the area so wasn't sure where to go, but tried this one based on the good reviews. We were greeted by Ed and he told us where all the different types of trees were. They had a great selection of trees and we ended up getting a Turkish one. I'd never heard of this kind but it looks beautiful and plump. Apparently they don't shed! Ed helped us load and strap down our tree, which was too fat to bale. We paid 3 bucks to buy a ratcheting strap there which was a good choice. They have twine to use as well for free, but it just took one strap to get our large tree home safely. Ended up going out to grab a tree, had nice reviews online. We brought our own chainsaw and were informed that we couldn't use it, so we said we wouldn't (and we didn't), but at this point we were too far from the car to want to bring it back so we held it. The old man that owns the property and an elderly woman came over and yelled at us to leave and said we weren't leaving the property fast enough when we were walking back to the car. The old man was aggressive and walked over with for lack of a better word a "fighting purpose" and we could have done without the annoying old woman following us screaming "get off my property" and "call the police" as we're leaving. Would maybe give them a 2/10 because it was funny, but that's about it. Professionalism and class get a 0/10 though. Oh, side note: Tree farm sucks. Muddy and no path for easily accessing/viewing the trees . Not sure about pricing as we were ran out before we could negotiate. Don't tell the old man his trees are ugly unless you're looking for a good laugh. What a great experience. We were greated by a gentleman (I assume the owner) after we grabbed a saw from the barn. He was very personable and gave us the lay of the land. They had a lot of trees. My wife was going to do a selfie of the family cutting down the tree we found when a young lady who worked there asked us if she could take it...she was all smiles and very friendly. After we bought our tree they gave us candy canes, hot chocolate, and cider- and it was the good stuff...not those cheap little candy canes, or watered down hot chocolate. We went the Sunday after Thanksgiving this year. While there were many trees available to cut, it still took us an hour to find a full one that was the right height and shape. We were happy with the tree we wound up with at the end. **Warning!** They don't shake the trees after you cut them. We brought ours home, set it up, and have found it to be COVERED in spiders and other tiny bugs. There are literally cobwebs that appeared the next morning in our living room. read more

We bought our tree here just yesterday. I think that we were their first customers of the day, as we arrived at 9:30 and no one else was there, but by the time we left there were about six other cars in the parking area. This is, indeed a small family business. The owner greeted us and showed us the ropes and pointed out the areas with different types of trees. His wife offered up cocoa and cider as well as her homemade donuts (cold, but YUM!). My daughter was enthralled with their two dogs and flock of chickens. Mostly she was excited about their cat, which followed our every step around the farm . Ed and his crew at Snow Valley Christmas Tree Farm are awesome! We typically buy an 18'-20' Christmas tree, so assistance with cutting and transporting it to the truck is crucial. While they provide SHARP tree saws and measuring sticks for all the "do it yourselfers", they are happy to take a ride over to the location of your perfect tree to cut it down with their chainsaws. Once the tree has been carefully removed from area where it was cut, they load it on one of their quads or tractor, and haul it to the bailing area. Here they will trim the trunk to your liking, remove any unwanted branches, then slide it through the bailer to secure the tree for transport with your vehicle. After being disappointed with our tree cutting experience last year at a farm in Snohomish. I found this gem on yelp. It is a family owned and newer farm. Super helpful, the most reasonable prices we compared, and fun! They bailed our tree and tied it up on our car for us. Also they either will cut your tree for you or provide saws if you want the experience. Then they haul the tree out of the farm to your car with a four wheeler. 7 foot noble only $56! We will def be back next year. Hopefully they will consider having santa there for pics next year. That's the only thing that would have improved our experience. We just got home with two Christmas trees from our favorite tree farm, Snow Valley! I write a review each year because this is a family business that needs to be put on the map. Aside from getting our trees, I bought a wreath for my front door, and a few handmade ornaments to add to our collection. Lora Lee's pumpkin bread and hot chocolate topped our Christmas tradition off!! A side note I would like to add. I noticed an awful review posted on Yelp for Snow Valley. It was written by a family from Hawaii that had never been to a tree farm. They were basing their experience off of what they had seen in movies! They had nothing to compare their experience to, therefore their review should be ignored. Stop by the farm and create your own memories! We went to Snow Valley Christmas Tree Farm this past weekend to cut down our tree and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! They had a huge selection of trees to choose from and a variety of prices. They have a $45 minimum to meet which is not bad considering the quality of trees. We had fun cutting it down ourselves but they also have staff on site to cut it down for you if you prefer. They transport the tree to the front for you and help you get it on to your car as well. In the barn they have cocoa, cider, and candy canes. They also sell fresh mini doughnuts--yum! Will definitely be returning to Snow Valley next year! read more

This place is great! There are probably a couple thousand trees here to choose from, between $8-10 per foot (but I believe there are some trees that are $45 flat). We ended up getting a 7' Turkish fur for $76 (including tax). We brought our dog to run around and she had the time of her life. They have some fenced in dogs behind a small electric fence, so don't let your dog get too close. Anyway, we were greeted when we pulled in and the family here is very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for someone looking to get out of the city and cut their own tree. They wrap up the tree for you, will help you tie it to the car, and even give you homemade hot chocolate, cider and homemade treats. Have fun! read more

We went here last year to pick up a Christmas tree. Selection wasn't very good. Cut down the tree. They threw our tree by the baler and told us we could pay for the tree on the other side. We paid for our tree then waited about 1 hour for them to bale our tree. Their service is awful. While waiting for an hour, we saw them bale many trees and the families hadn't even paid for them. If we hadn't paid for the tree already we probably would've just left. Horrible first time experience at a Christmas tree farm. read more
