Last time I visited, it was near closing time and Carrie told me that I needed to leave the store. After I explained that I needed to walk out an elderly family member she rolled her eyes and sighed with obvious annoyance. I did not say anything. However the next time I visited the store I had a very similar interaction where I was putting away my shopping cart. I guess I moved a cart I wasn't supposed to for whatever reason and Carrie runs over and lets out the loudest groan I've ever heard. I couldn't even believe this happened. I don't understand how some one like this is employed at this store much less a manager. Extremely awful experience, the obvious attitude from a customer service employee is a first for me.

While at the hospital, stopped here to look for stationary. They have a few card sets but not what I was looking for today. Very nice staff. Two ladies offered to help me and were genuinely friendly. One suggested another store in the area to check out. Would shop here in the future, even if not having an appointment at the hospital.

It has the best selection and very competitive prices without complicated coupons and sales. We are creatures of habit, with my wife using JoAnn's Fabric for her sewing crafting needs because that's where her family shopped while she was young. Later Michael's became the place as they expanded and opened new stores in our area, and her other mom friends recommended. Now Hobby Lobby seems to be the place as we convert to an empty nest and help my newlywed daughter decorate her new place. This location isn't as new as the ones we have been going to in California, and wasn't nearly as well staffed. In our case, we were able to find everything on our own. I did learn that items marked as 'Your Price' (which is a large portion of the store) is the final low price, no other discounts apply. The vast majority of product are inhouse brands, with the price preprinted (which saves labor on pricing tasks). The only hiccup was that nobody was actively manning the registers when there were no customers, and could only scale to one register even with many customers waiting. But as I've recognized, personalized customer interaction is more important than speed and efficiency at craft stores, and it's obviously working for them.

I went to the door section at 10:30 AM on a Tuesday. There was no one around who could help me. I looked at the various door samples on display. No prices. I left and went to Home Depot. Two employees were helping me by setting up a measurement appointment and answering questions. The doors on display had prices so I could make a decision. On the positive side, Lowes Issaquah has people in the returns department at least.
