We visited this amazing place with our Grandpa David. I had the Trump Burger and fried pickles, Grandpa Had the lumberjack Burger, and Mindy had the french dipped grilled cheese, all amazing, but not as amazing as our Server Kathy, What a wonderful person! Best service in town... Has the best damn Hamburger around...you have to stop by and try on your way through town.

Old local diner, emphasis on local. If you're not a local, they will not serve you. Waited 55 min for a small breakfast, and all locals they came in after me got food, I got none. Finally just walked out I get the local part, and I'd appreciate if I lived there for sure If your not a local, DO NOT stop here. None of what happened to me made sense at all...it's a breakfast, not a big lunch or large dinner order.... I really enjoy sitting here and eating. I don't want to say too many great things because it's kind of an intimate place to eat and be at. The food is good and there is something special about seeing Regulars that come here daily. It's nice to be in a peaceful place with good food and wonderful locals. If you decide to stop in make sure to return the warm hellos and if you are happy with your meal and service give them a good tip. read more

Great food, really nice people and super service. I have eaten here several times but recent stop was awesome. Their special, stuffed pepper casserole, was like your mom would have made. Side salad was really nice. Staff was fun, had great attitudes and gave me ice for the drive home with my fish I had caught. I took home two burgers which were also really good. Sitting in this restaurant right now. I have lived in this town for 14 years and never had such bad service as I have the last two days for breakfast here. No reason yesterday morning, they weren't even that busy. Today the excuse is they had a big order that put them behind. When we sat down there was one table here. The big order went out within 10 minutes of us sitting down. It's now been over an hour since we ordered....... And still no food. They need to get a cook who knows how to manage time and multiple orders. read more

Came here for the second time in 2 days hoping yesterday was a fluke (was here for 1 hour 45 minutes yesterday) as the food is good! Today we were here for 2 hours If you don't have 2 hours to spare for breakfast don't stop here if time/ hunger doesn't bother you than it's the place for you! Today we were told they were backed up for a big order that went out after 10 minutes of us being there. Everyone is nice, the restaurant is cute but 1 of the waitress runs around with her head cut off when there's 3-4 tables of people.. it's not that busy.. makes everyone else on edge. Instead of having 2 waitresses for 3-4 tables hire another cook please. Also at 10:30am we were told there was 1 mimosa left, we ordered it and it was given to a different table. Maybe stock up. Owner should be running the business not cooking. read more

I've had so many good meals here that it makes me sad to say I cannot visit again. With Washington plates on my car I am no longer welcome in St. Maries. Benewah cops profile Washington drivers (where weed is legal) so it's best just to STAY AWAY unless you are prepared to be stopped and hassled. Stopped in yesterday on way back from camping. Not much open on Labor Day, but saw the Timber Lodge Cafe was open so we decided to give it a try. My teenage son really enjoyed the homemade steak chili. I had the Liberty Burger which was also awesome. Beef patty, cooked to perfection with bacon, lettuce, tomato and a fried egg on top. Mmmmmm. The fries were really good too. Wife had the fish and chips and substituted in sweet potato fries. She was less impressed with her choice. Passed on the pie (too full) but they all looked good. We also got a bag of homemade beef jerky for the trip back to Moscow. Much better than most of the processed stuff. Atmosphere is pretty basic, but comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. We wanted a little mom and pop place to eat on a motorcycle ride recently. Timber Lodge Café checked all the boxes! Our server was very friendly and gave us good recommendations for what to order. If you want some big slick, franchise type of place, Timber Lodge Café is not for you. We loved it, and everything was very good. We will definitely be back when we are down that way. read more

We stopped in after camping on Memorial Day. So glad we did! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Some of us ordered from the menu, others just told her what we wanted. The food was made from scratch and was fresh and delicious. We all had burgers, some keto style without the bun, served on a bed of lettuce. The chili was made with steak, hearty and flavorful. We will definitely stop in again when we're in the area. read more
