Heidi's is an excellent place. I have traveled through St. Mary's for many summers but have never stopped to walk around and enjoy it. This time I happened to be there in the morning so I decided to try Heidi's. Heidi's is on the smaller end for breakfast places, but very nice. Antiques line the walls along with some cool paintings. Each table was set up with different table cloths, cups, etc. My order was filled quickly and there were many good menu options. The pancakes and bratwurst were my favorite parts. Most places have sausage but not bratwurst, so that was a welcome surprise. The toast and hash browns were also very good. I am not a huge egg fan but it was a fine egg anyhow. I highly recommend Heidi's for anybody looking for an excellent breakfast. I will be sure to stop here any time I am near St. Mary's in the future! read more

Super service, clean, excellent drip coffee, and breakfast was outstanding. I ordered a 1/2 order of the Slumgolian with gravy. It was absolutely delicious and it is a very large portion for a 1/2 size dish. This is a great breakfast place for anyone passing through town. If you're on a motorcycle, they have a paved lot out front. Absolutely worth a stop. read more

Family of 5 dined for breakfast from a recommendation. Lots of take out orders. Waitress friendly. Cinnamon rolls were 3 servings a piece for only 3.50. Homemade large English muffins. The best Breakfast and Lunch option in St. Maries. We travel through 2-3 times a year and this is a must stop place. The Slumgolian will feed your inner lumberjack and destroy you diet. Lunch menu is equally good but plan early their hours are 0600-1500 (3pm). Better yet, avoid at all costs!!! They only seat about 25 and we don't want Heidi's to be Californicated. Small location, but delicious! After an early morning hike at Heyburn I needed something to fill me up & I love trying local places. The waitress was friendly and my food was out very quickly. I'm glad she told me the pancakes were the size of the plate so I didn't order two. My coffee was alway full which to me is very important in a breakfast place. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. It's unassuming and kind of small, maybe 6 to 8 tables, but the food is superb. When we arrived they were almost full and filled after we ordered. I'm kind of a connoisseur of hollandaise sauce and am always in search of a restaurant that does it to my liking and Heidi's was perfect. The Eggs Benedict were so friggin' delicious and better than any others I've ever had. It's kind of a hard dish to pull off, especially when one cook is serving 8 tables but every part of the dish was perfect. If you're a fan of hollandaise or Eggs Benedict, definitely try Heidi's. Amazing breakfast-its definitely a must go when in St Maries. The cinnamon roll was huge, biscuits and gravy were delish, coffee was great and service was amazing. However-it was too packed to go when we tried to go back with my husband a few days later-and no real "wait"-just locals loudly announcing theres no tables available & trying to get rid of you.
