The bathrooms are little dingy looking but looked clean. They had several specials listed on the wall including a sloppy Joe with fries. I ordered the sloppy Joe and was told a few minutes later that they had not made it and asked what I wanted instead. I opted for the German fried Bologna sandwich which turned out to be pretty good. The fries needed salt but that's easy to correct.

My wife and I were checking out of our room (Salt Fork Lodge) and we were going to miss the 11 o'clock cut off to get breakfast. I called and they were willing to make our sandwiches as close to 11 as possible and then just keep them warm for us. We got there around 11:15 and the sandwiches were ready. They were still hot and we really enjoyed our breakfast. We had lunch the day before and their sandwiches are top notch. Not a huge menu but what they do offer and provide is 10 out of 10. The cafe also has a cute little gift-shop with it and it is attached to an Amish grocery store. Worked out perfect for us to pick up a few of our favorite things we can only find from the Amish as well as enjoy a meal. I got the sandwich with minimal sauces and I opted for the vegetable medley, since they were out of soup (3pm). They close today at 4 pm, so it was no biggie. Once the sandwich came out, it looked like it had been in a fight back in the alley, but honestly, the bun was steamed and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Okay, my meal didn't last long, but I wasn't done eating. So I ordered fried mushrooms and they didn't last long, either. I guess I was more hungry than I thought! I finally settled for dessert - Dutch Apple pie. I would not hesitate to dine here again. I was treated like I was the only customer in the place.
