The staff for the most part are very kind and accommodating. But like most "Rehab" facilities they struggle. It is hard to hire good staff as and enough staff. They were very kind and helpful to me but I just didn't need to be there. If one has someone they love in a SNF (I know, it's more than a SNF) someone needs to be there with them as much as possible. Like I said, they were very kind and helpful to me. One suggestion though. When the Noc shift went to laugh and yack it up, do it in the break room. About 3 staff were laughing and talking right outside my room at 4:00 AM. But I did receive good care. read more

What a waste of time. In one week stay, there was one group physical therapy session. Other days nothing except maybe a short walk in the hall. Never consistent on meal time or medication. Lots of extra staff as it appeared to me just wandering around and blocking the hallways. A couple of the staff and the cleaning staff are very good and caring, and a special thank you to them (and I'm sure they know to who I'm referring ). As far as front desk, office staff, PT and medical staff it was a sorry excuse for a rehabilitation facility. The doctors on staff came by the day of admission for short visit and then for about 5 minutes on discharge. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for an even average, let alone better or exceptional care facility. read more

This place is nowhere near as clean as the pictures appear! Blinds are broken, bathrooms smell, walls are dirty... Typical of a nursing home/care facility, just in it for the money! Mother sat on her toilet for 40 minutes after ringing her bell before someone came to get her! She was hollering for someone to come get her. She waits a minimum of 20 minutes for the night attendants to help her. read more

This place is an absolute and dangerous joke. Do not put your elderly parents there. They stuck my mother in a room with 3 people and somebody who had pneumonia right after my mother had surgery. Urine sitting toilets so the rooms smell like pee. The reviews stating that people and shouting and screaming are totally correct they were doing the same at 10:30 at night when my mother was there. This place needs to be investigated and shut down. read more

After extensive research, my sister and I chose Timberview Care Center for our 80 year mother who broke her leg for her rehabilitation. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The rooms are shared, with one other patient, but are very large. They were originally designed for three patients, but now only have a maximum of two. The center area of the room now can hold two recliner chairs for either the patients or their family when they come to visit. Each patient has their own TV and remote and they share a bathroom. They have three separate wings and dining areas. Our mother was in the short term rehabilitation wing. The other two wings are for longer term residents. Our mom really enjoyed the activities and the activities directors were both great! Our mom liked doing the activities such as making bird feeders and baking cookies. They had singers and musicians come in and her favorite was bingo (or a form of bingo) because she would win little prizes. Longer term residents also get to go on outings, such as bowling. You have the option of eating in your room or one of the three dining rooms. You can also bring in some of your own food or treats. They have a refrigerator/freezer just for residents. You put the resident's name and date on the package, but they will only keep it for three days. As a treat for my mom I would sometimes take her across the street in her wheelchair and we would eat in the hospital cafeteria across the street or I would bring food in from a local restaurant. As my mom's condition improved, I would take my mom out to eat at restaurants and even took her for a drive to the coast one day. They will do your laundry there. My advice is to write their name on EVERYTHING, because it all gets washed together. Bonnie in the laundry room very helpful with making sure everything got back to our mom. Sam in housing keeping was also very helpful locating my mom's lap blanket which she left in the activity room. The rehabilitation (physical, occupational, and speech therapy) is done through a separate company, but they were the main reason our mother recovered so quickly. It was tough at first because our mom has some memory issues and didn't want therapy, but over time her condition improved and things got easier for her. I loved them all for what they did! The nursing staff absolutely ROCKS there! I got to know them quite well over the six weeks our mom was there. I had a few favorites (they know who they are) but they were all wonderful! Now the best part. The administration staff. Our first contact was with Randi. She couldn't be any sweeter and she was the final deciding factor to choose this facility over another well know facility in Albany. During our mom's stay we got to know Ann, the administrator and could understand why all the staff work so cohesively as a group. She is a very compassionate, empathic, and knowledgeable Administrator. Thank you Timberview Care Center for our mother's recovery! read more

Unprofessional in all aspects. Went to pick up a family member in February and was shocked at what I saw. This place is dirty Elderly people yelling for help from their rooms. Some vulgar woman, I later found was the person in charge was loudly reprimanding her staff in front of patients and visitors. One person who was also at the facility mentioned to me how they were planning of filing a complaint for elderly abuse. The place appears to be severely understaffed and the staffing they have overwhelmed. They were behind in processing my family member's discharge and I was afraid to ask any of the staff including the lady in charge who was bullying everyone how much longer it was going to take. The place is utter chaos and should be evaluated. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a more professional and positive environment. read more

This is a NASTY Filthy place to take yourself or any relative!!! So very dirty,did not even want to use the bathroom. Patients yelling in the halls. I would not recommend anyone to trust their care to this place. read more

Terrible experience with untrained staff. My grandfather was needing help out of the car and the staff "bear hugged " him to remove him. The physical therapist was great getting him in but the guy with a pony tail was terrible when we came back. He was whimpering and scared as he was removed. I can't wait to get him out of here due to this terrible experience. Doing thing with care isn't something the pony tail staff member does. read more

I spent a month in Timberview for rehab. It was one longgg month. The rehab was a joke. A couple of the RT/OT were good but the majority seemed uninterested and would sit in my room watching my tv while I worked with bands and weights. Two of the nurses were good and seemed genuinely interested in my care. The rest were lazy and not timely with meds, esp prn pain meds. Two nights I waited for two hours, The rest of the time it was at least a hour. Call lights 90% of the time would take 45 minutes to one hour and then they would say ok, let me get help and leave the room. Many times they would not come back and I had to start the process over. There are several CNA's that are caring and hard working but the majority need to find a different profession. Some were rough, impatient and wouldn't listen to my needs. They were short handed for the acuity of the patients. Finally the food was dreadful. Processed and frozen dinner type fish and nasty pasta. I would complain about the small amounts but honestly it was so bad, I didnt want more. I was fortunate, my stay wasn't long but I feel sorry for the people stuck there. The nights were long and filled with voices calling for help. It's a shame we can't do better for our elders. My recommendation is if your discharge at the hospital recommends Timberview, just say no. And just FYI, if you need to pick a facility for a family member, go check out the place first. Don't make an appointment. look at the rooms, ask questions about the meals and ask if will substitute items and give choices for meals. Look at the condition of the patients. Are they parked in the hallway hanging out of their chair, are they dressed and groomed, are the calling for help or moaning while the staff ignores them? Ask for scheduled care conferences and attend them. The entire team should be there along patient in the family. This is a good place to bring up concerns and get them resolved. read more

My mom was a resident at Timberview for 7 months up until she recently passed. I was so impressed with the true level of compassion and care of my mother from all levels of staff. From housekeeping, the CNA's, Nurse Practitioner and the Administrative team - they treated my mom with respect and dignity. Appointments were made to specialists, transportation was coordinated and they communicated with me in a timely fashion. Timberview has a family atmosphere and will treat your loved as if they were a part of their own family. I appreciate all they did for my mom and will be forever grateful. read more

My family member was recently in this facility and completely appreciated the care they received from not only the nursing staff but especially the therapist. They went beyond the normal cares and ensured my grandma felt loved and secured even when we couldn't be there. Couldn't ask for a better experience...thank you staff for all you do.... read more
