When I contacted the office I was told that my fence was built improperly and they didn't have the tools to fix it. The wrong pins were used, it was already wobbly etc. They left my neighbors fence wide open after the work and mine with big enough holes for my mastiffs to get out and told me they'd come put nails in at some point... I called to inquire about the slats and no one had reported it to the office. I mentioned I couldn't really wait so I'd fix it and maybe they could take 100 bucks off the price for me spending an hour on the fence. No dice. They had an easy opportunity to make it right and totally failed. Had they told me I'd have gotten my nail gun out right then and there and taken care of it. Needless to say my neighbors will be going with a competing company for their work.

Robert, the owner, was there same day to assess risk. They were working jobs across the city, but Robert got me on the emergency list and came out the next day to re-assess where they could play their spider lift. The crew showed up, went over the job with me and got to work. The got down the dead section and took a lot of weight on the portion that is still healthy. Before they left, the crew talked with my neighbors and I and removed one additonal unsightly limb at the neighbors request. Def went above and beyond. I could not be more impressed.

Enough of the tenants complained to SMI, because a cleanup team of 3 showed up this morning and made another sloppy attempt to cleanup the mess they left behind. While one carried around a trash can, 2 had rakes and half-assed the cleanup, kicking some debris further into the bushes, rather than clean it up, one was on his phone the whole time I was watching them. It truly is not often in life that you find someone like Britton Cooper aka The Woodcracker. Beyond…read morethe great skills he possesses, he is a man of his word, a pleasant, polite person to deal with. He responded to my email quickly. Corresponded with me through texts including giving me a quote for the job which I found to be a great value. He arrived on time and safely cut down and removed a 30-foot-tall tree in the front yard and he and his son cleaned up the lawn, sidewalk, and street. No mess at all left behind. On the second job two weeks later, he came alone, followed my request to trim off the lower branches of four large trees in the back yard. There were a LOT of branches! These would surely be on the lawn in the next ice storm! And just like last time, these branches don't rebound. This was disaster prevention. He hauled away all the branches off the lawn, then raked the entire length of the 63 feet long by 8 feet deep bed underneath the trees! I did NOT expect that kind of cleanup! I haven't seen that bed so clean in years! He used a blower and cleared the driveway, sidewalk and street of anything that fell during the removal.
