Amazing!!! If I could give him 20 stars I would. My girlfriend broke her glasses right before our cruise. We ran to lens crafter to see if they could fix it, they couldn't and it was $400 for a new pair. They suggested we go to Time 2 Fix to try to get it welded back together. We showed up right when he opened and 30 minutes later we had a working pair of glasses!!! After going to three different jewelry shops I was being told over and over my silver ring was going to be at least forty dollars - to just solder together mind you, flame to ring, nothing fancy at all. I was more than a little frustrated. (some even told me they couldn't do it and then got angry when I wondered why they couldn't use 14K white gold with the same results) Then I happened upon the brochure of Time 2 Fix at my local Farm Boy. I thought why not just go on in and ask, surely it can't be over forty dollars. I asked Mike with trepidation: "How much to just solder this ring back together?" Mike answered: "Ten dollars." ?!? What you talkin' bout Willis??? 10 bucks??? Versus the forty I had been quoted several other times??? Oh, be still my heart, there are honest jewelers in the world. When I heard that I threw all my jewelry fixins' at him so not only is he fixing my love's beloved silver ring but he is sizing two gold rings given to me by my Nana when she passed AND to top things off he even saw I had three watches that needed batteries in my bag and he is hooking me up with a free battery. Oh, and need I mention it is all done in an hour and a half??? He can do most repairs while you wait but I wasn't in any hurry. I get the feeling he just opened his business and in these rough economic times I felt compelled to make sure everyone knew where to get your jewelry fixed fast and not get abused by the prices. First of all, I have to thank the Yelp community for helping me find the best watch/jewelry repair in town. I've had a Cartier watch that needed the battery replaced and therefore has been sitting in my jewelry box for many years. After visiting a couple of watch repair places (including the ones in the mall) I gave up. I was fed up with dealing with places where making a sale was their only goal. I understand that the more you pay for a watch the more you'll end paying for any repairs but I thought that they'd also be high on customer service. I was wrong. However, thanks to you guys I found exactly what i needed. Someone that really cares about their customers - that's Mike. I called him today at 2:30 and he was about to close but offered to wait for me. Before going in I asked for an estimate for the battery replacement and I was pleasantly surprised to be given half the price than what I've gotten from any other places i went to in the past. When I got to the store I showed him my watch, and he confirmed the price which was a big relief. A lot of places give you a price over the phone just so they can get you in the store, but once you get you problem fixed they come up with excuses and additional fees. Mike suggested to leave my watch there since he needed to close but I wasn't comfortable with the idea so he offered to meet me again at 5:30 pm when he'd open the store again. After talking to him and seeing that he's no in to make a quick buck I went back at 5:30 and brought 2 more watches. Once I went back he started working on my Cartier and noticed that the gasket was in bad shape and let me know. He said that it doesn't need to be replaced right away but wanted me to be aware of the problem. I must admit that I was in awe - a guy with his own shop that is is not making me spend more money. Whoa! I chose to have it replaced anyway just to play safe. Once he was done with that watch I showed him another one that I attempted to fix myself (battery replacement). I took the cap off, replace the battery but I couldn't put the cap back on so it sat in my jewelry box for quite some time. In the meantime, the battery died so I needed a new battery - he replaced it, but the watch won't work. He inspected in, dusted it and voila - it's working. I bet any other place would've claimed that they had to replace something and charge me for it. Mike, just charged me for the battery and he's currently working on finding a replacement for the bracelet that was worn out. After I saw how much he cares about making his customers happy I felt comfortable leaving the watch there. While I was waiting for him to clean my 3rd watch that no one has ever touched since I bought it (this is the pride of my collection) a lady came to pick up her husband's watch. She got the watch and Mike noticed that her beautiful diamond ring could use a cleaning and offered it to her for free. Needless to say that she's really happy with her shiny clean ring after waiting for couple of minutes. Bottom line, he's got a new customer for life and let me tell you, this is not an easy achievement. read more

It cost me ten bucks and he said that if I had to come back to add a link then its free!!!! It's so rare to have such a nice person helping you. I went in there today, because my watch clasp was broken. Once you closed it, you couldn't open it without pliers. He managed to fix it over the lunch our for $12. Apparently there was a twisted piece of metal that needed untwisting. Initially he thought it needed a new battery because it had stopped. When I came to pick up the watch, I was told the battery was fine. The service was fast and honest. I recommend them. read more

I didn't know I had a "jeweler" until now: Mike is my jeweler. I came in to fix a severely bent ring that was a hand- made, one of a kind piece that I bought for my best friend in Laos on a recent trip. What a find!! And then I threw it into my pack and found it several days later looking like a little ball of silver, crushed into oblivion. Long story short- I brought it to Mike, ten minutes flat: fixed while I waited and for 10$- it doesn't get any better than that. First off, amazing customer service! I came here to get my engagement ring resized and was very happy with the result and service! He offered to let me watch him the entire time he resized my ring so I wouldn't worry about the diamond getting switched & right away, I felt relieved. He was closing when I arrived and stayed an extra hour just to help me out!! When he was cutting the metal, it actually fell on the floor somewhere and got list in the mix, but he assured me that he'd find it and when he did, he'd call. I wasn't too worried about it as it was such a small piece of platinum but he insisted he'd find it. In the meantime, he gave an extra piece of platinum to replace the one he'd lost. A few days later he called me telling me he found it and to come by and grab it! -- really went above and beyond here! Dropped my Burberry glasses, which, while stylish, aren't super well made, and this tiny piece popped out and disappeared near the left hinge. Unfortunately, given that I need my glasses to see and without that piece they're very hard to wear, I needed a quick fix. I Yelped Time 2 Fix, which was only blocks away from where I had just had lunch. I went on over, and while originally the proprietor said he could have it Monday or Tuesday, when I explained the situation, he told me he'd get it done before closing today (I arrived shortly after 2). True to his word, he got it done, explained to me the work he did, and charged a fair price (which I was told in advance). No hitches. While hopefully this won't happen again on the other side, if I were anywhere near the Valley, I know where I'd go. read more

Amazing service and really fast. A silver necklace broke that is pretty sentimental to me and Mike was able to laser weld it together while I waited. I probably waited about 10-12 minutes max and voila good as new. He also cleaned it and said to come in for some vintage type polish free of charge when I get back. Amazing. Now I can extend the life of all my eye glasses(!) and support a charming, honorable local businessman too. I have to wear titanium frames so when my overprice Chanel frames broke in less than 2 years, I was peeved. Lens Crafters sent me to Mike, who skillfully soldiered the tough-to-work-with titanium and taught me how to clean the lenses more gently. He liked it so he put a ring on it! Unfortunately said ring was a bit too big... I initially took my ring to be resized (smaller) at another Yelp recommended shop in Hollywood. My ring was returned to me with obvious dings and marks where the ring had been resized. I also noticed I may have gone a tad too small, as when my fingers swelled even slightly the ring became uncomfortably tight. I tried to tough out the small ring hoping I'd get used to the size. After a week I took to Yelp again hoping for a better shop close to my workplace. I was really nervous that my ring might be ruined by a second resizing, especially after the first place had left my ring pretty thin and banged up. Thankfully the owner of Time 2 Fix was super helpful and sweet. Instead of just passing me the cluster of ring sizes to try on, he actually answered my questions and helped me pick a size that would be juussst right even if my fingers decided to go all mini-sausage sometimes. He called me as soon as the sizing was complete, and remembered my name when I came in the following day to pick up my ring. I was shocked at the difference between the work done here, versus the former place - the owner here managed to iron out the dings and make my ring look brand new, shiny, and it fits perfectly. I was looking for a new watch repair place and stumbled across this place which had great Yelp reviews. I was happy to find out that they also do jewelry repairs. Mike (the owner) just repaired my 40 year old wedding ring. The prongs supporting the center stone were worn down and Mike did an expert repair job. He had to replace part of the setting and it was a bit complicated but he is a skilled guy and the ring looks great!
