My favorites are the rides. They have a spinning, fast roller coaster. As well as an exciting giant drop that goes up and down instead of just one drop. My other favorite is the mini golf courses! Like the rides, they have two courses which are both so fun and completely different. One course is in the center of everything (similar to an outdoor course). The other course is in a separate area and is glow in the dark, which is always a fun change in my opinion. They have a full bar. Food is also served though unsure if it's plates, apps, tapas, or what exactly is served. Employees genuinely appear happy and are so polite, friendly, and considerate. We have already been three times in around 6-7 weeks so safe to say it's my new favorite spot. You know I'll be back and highly recommend to all ages and relationships looking for something fun and unique to do!

Weren't sure if Flyover Chicago would equal that experience. It did. I booked the tickets online, saving time. We went up the escalator to the start of the tour. I had to stow my backpack in one of their lockers. It was cost free. Sweet! (Downstairs, Navy Pier had $7 lockers.) Important tip: Don't forget to retrieve your items after the flyover. The flyover experience was in multiple stages. First a nicely done video about Chicago. Not dry recitation of dates & stuff. Kept it interesting for the audience. Then, a safety brief and we went to the Flyover seats for the main event. Wow! Even though the seats aren't moved all that far, the motion synched with the immersive video gave the illusion of actually flying. Some parts have a steep dive which can be either thrilling or scary. If scary, just close the eyes for a couple of seconds and all fine. Totally safe. The visuals are creatively capturing so much of Chicago. We felt that we had taken a whirlwind tour of the city. Now, inspiration to see the scenes in person. Exit through--you guessed it -- the gift shop. Oh, the the exit on the lower main level. If you left items in the locker upstairs, all too easy to forget. Retrieve the items! We will repeat this experience next time we're in Chi Town.

The drive was long, but not stop and go. Traffic was lighter than I anticipated, but we couldn't use the restroom because we were too early. (I solved that issue by popping over to a local store AND making a purchase--don't come at me lol) Once it was the appropriate time to check in, the process was a little slow to start, but that's why we checked in 15 minutes before our slide time started, right? We got the grippy socks, the mandatory t-shirts for the glow time ($7.99, not bad at all!), and rented a locker ($7 for 3 hours) to keep our valuables safe. Extra clothes went back into the car, but we locked up phones, wallets, etc. I was a little nervous when we arrived because there was a police car practically pulled up to the door and two, I believe, police officers inside the facility. They remained for, I believe, a majority of our slide time, but just walking around and keeping an eye on things. The slides were more intimidating than I anticipated! There was one yellow launch slide that took me a while to work my nerve to go down--it LAUNCHES you! It ended up being over before I could think about it too long. My favorite slide was the nice, slow, green slide entitled "Cowabunga" and the long blue one in the middle of the facility. There was a white one nestled in between a yellow zig zag and a 4 lane racer slide that was called "Avalanche"--the worker asked, "Oh? You're going on this one?" like I was too old or something. His last words to me were "Hold on tight!"--he was right! The facility was clean, the equipment looked well taken care of less the missing zip line--that was a little disappointing. There are a good number of slides--enough that you have a choice, but not too many that you feel overwhelmed. The staff was young, but helpful, and not even too distracted by the football game that was on the arena televisions. (It was a big game for people around here!) The cafe was open for 45 minutes during our 2 hour session, but we just got some ICEEs to combat the warmth and sweat that we felt. I did not use the bathroom so I cannot comment on that. I appreciate them having a water fountain accessible because the stairs to go up and down are comically large. I am, like, 5'8" and I was taking giant steps to go down the slides. I felt safe, entertained, and like I had good value in the ticket price, even with the mandatory, yet, understandable purchase of the grippy socks and the neon shirt for the glow time. I would definitely go back if someone else wanted to experience it or I wanted to work on my thunder thighs without feeling like it's a workout. I wish there was a location closer, because it was nice to have a place that catered to older kids. The little kids have PLENTY of options.

They did not have the height signs to the ground, they were raised several inches higher. These workers were on a power trip and loved making these kids cry. They let some parents ride with the kids and other parents they would not.They were not consistent at all. Several of the rides broke down multiple times. Kids were told they were "too tall", kids were told they were "too small" there was basically nothing for them to ride. Many families didn't come back after the first night because their kids were so upset about not being able to go on the rides. This affects the entire carnival. If people aren't coming back their not spending money to support your parish, the food vendors that came etc. All of this was brought to the manager, showed her photos of the kids on the rides and nothing changed. The carnival workers were bad mouthing the company saying their terrible to work for, they don't get paid fairly and therefore were selling tickets on the side to people who spoke their language at a discounted price. There is a reason this company has this low star review. Do your research and don't just go with the lowest bid you will regret it.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. Plus, as we were leaving, we saw a lot of open spots. The place does have a few restaurants but the food is decent for what it is. It will not be a 5 star groumet meal. We had the pizza and it was delicious. It reminded me of a school pizza growing up and a little bit of Sbarro. It filled us up and our picky 3 year old loved it so that was a bonus. We also went to a different location to get freshly squeezed lemonade and iced coffee. Both were delicious and perfect mid day snack during sunny afternoon The bathrooms were clean enough. The rides were fun and staff was very friendly. At the end of the day, we stopped and greeted Santa. I loved this experience since he was very patient and kind to our daughter. And it was very personalized. I was under the assumption was simple, and pose for photos but no... he talked to her and read her signs as to how comfortable she was. I appreciated Santa so much since he could tell she was getting a little scared and nervous. Overall, it is a fun place to be especially as a child. Not only is the park one of the cleanest that I've seen in a long time, it's a mix of nostalgia and value from years gone by. You can tell that the park does a great job of hiring and training their team for patience and attentiveness to their guests of all ages. Nobody ever seemed distracted by there cell phones which is so important in an environment that caters to young children. Food and beverage wasn't cheap, but just above today's fast food out on the street, and quite frankly portions that could be shared. Last but not least, the rides all seemed to be in great working order. We never felt any concerns with the girls riding any of them. I strongly suggest a family visit if you're going for your first time, or returning again with the next generation.
