First time here. I did a Yelp search for gizzards. I love a good gizzard. I ordered some along with a bowl of Pho. The gizzards were not edible. Small burnt and hard. "Accused of Drug Use for Using the Restroom" I occasionally stop by Time Out Sports Bar & Grill in Gresham on weekends while taking a break from driving Lyft. I usually play a bit of video poker and mind my own business. Today, that changed -- and not in a good way. After playing poker for a while this afternoon, I politely asked to use the restroom before leaving. Roughly 6 minutes in, the bartender (an older Asian man who spends most of his shift sitting down and is consistently rude to anyone who isn't a regular) starts pounding on the door. I let him know I was almost done -- thinking that would be the end of it. Instead, he loudly claims there's a "time limit" on restroom use -- something I've never seen posted or enforced anywhere, especially not under 8 minutes. When I came out, he doubled down and accused me of using drugs in there -- totally unprovoked, baseless, and out of line. I don't take false accusations lightly. I calmly challenged him on this imaginary "rule" and told him if 8 minutes is too long, put up a sign that says so. His response? "You have no idea what people do in this bathroom. You were probably doing drugs." Seriously? This kind of behavior from staff -- especially accusing paying customers of drug use without cause -- is unprofessional and damaging to your business. If this is how non-regulars are treated, no wonder the regulars stick around: everyone else is chased away. To ownership: If you care about your reputation and treating all customers fairly, this situation deserves attention. No one should be publicly humiliated or accused of criminal behavior simply for using the bathroom. Until this place learns how to treat all customers with respect -- not just their buddies -- I'll be taking my breaks elsewhere. read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for over a decade, I am also a bartender, I was checking out a place I don't normally frequent because I have like 4 on my easy stretch of road. I visited this place between 11 and midnight. I wanted to check out pricing. Nick's Pizza and Sports Bar has the best prices anywhere, but they do close early, so I get that. I took my hat off, greeted politely, i was not at any point rude or deserving of the shitty attitude. Maybe bro was having rough night, he is probably a nice gent. But my visit didnt show that. The bartender I interacted with tonight - was incredibly rude. I more than halved my tip because he was so rude. All I had was a well whiskey. I tipped $2 instead of $5. Wells are $6? And a Jack and coke is $12?! There's no strippers or Literally ANYTHING to warrant the pricing. Even the Platinum Pub on 181st and Halsey is cheaper by $5 AND is open later AND has better customer relations. Seriously, screw this place, wouldn't go back unless someone I knew was working there. I went here last night not sure what happened but I had a shot of lunazul tequila and he charged me 12 bucks. At that moment I had to leave you can't charge downtown prices in the hood I did see another's get a similar level drink and it was only 6.50 not sure what happened but I even asked the bartender 12 bucks for a shot of Luna that's nuts and he just said yup I tipped my bartender and left after my shot. I said thank you for the drink as I was leavening and he said nothing back. The experience was a 2-10 only reason I give it a 2 is because the food was good. read more

Great community bar! They specialize in mienh food and they do it pretty well. The kasoy is delicious here and a must get every time i stop by. Papaya salad is made with fermented crab which adds a nice funk to the dish. Turkey butt (sounds weird I know) js perfectly fried with the best dipping sauce ever!! Where else can you enjoy a cocktail with your noodle soup?? I love the kasoy here. What is even better is that it's only $7 for a reg size and $9 for a large. Great portion and generous with the meat, which I think is velveted because its tender. Also, the deep fried turkey tails had that fatty goodness. Next time, I will have to try the deep fried chitlins and pad thai. Enough about food because this is also bar... I would consider this a dive bar. The best place to go for late night asian food. I always order the kasoy, klan fin and the turkey tails. Kasoy is a SE Asian noodle soup, made differently in other cultures but overall they're essentially the same, if you get that lol but it's a rice noodle soup with bits of beef and ground pork in a flavorful broth. Klan fin is a rice flour and limestone jello like cubes that's served in tamarind juice. The main part of the snack aside from the rice flour and limestone jello is the pepper, almost everyone makes their pepper different but it's mostly soy bean paste, mixed with chili peppers and cilantro. It's a staple for the Iu Mien people! Their turkey tails is sooo good! It's deep fried and served with a pepper sauce similar for the klan fin pepper, just without the soy bean paste. I usually eat it with rice. You really can't go wrong with coming here, in addition to my favorites, they have other bar foods such as papaya salad and pad Thai. Came here for some klang fen of course! I'm always craving it! Only place I know of currently who makes it! The menu is so cheap I love it for good quality food! All the appetizers are good beer food even though I hate beer! My favorite other than klang fen is the bung ho ( no it's not a butthole lol) but Chitlins! I don't think I've ever had it but they were really good! The gizzard was okay, kind of big pieces. We got all that for 21$ including an EXL kasoy! I'll probably always be back to fufill my klang fen cravings ! read more

My go to for clan fen and kasoy when I'm too lazy to cook it and it's always satisfying

This is an excellent place to eat Mien food. I was in Portland for a conference and was craving Mien food so dropped by our friends. Their papaya salad is amazing! We also had the chicken gizzards and noodles. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous too. read more

This is the only place in Portland that serves some legit classic Mien food. It has a dive bar feel to it with slot machines and pool tables, but I come here for the food. I've had the fried cracklings with hot sauce dip, kasoy, papaya salad, and stir fried giblets. All the flavors are true to Mien and so good! read more

They have the best papaya there. If you think Lily market is good, you got to try this place out. They have a full bar, a great selection of menu items, and gambling. They also have pool tables and cheap alcohol. A pitcher of beer for $8 ( I think Wednesday only). Must try if your looking for a fun place to hang out with friends. read more
