    Hef. beer on tap.

Absolutely chill place to relax and take a time-out. The tap beer was a perfect pour. The turkey tails food was prepared quickly, very filling, and a great compliment to the tap beer. The bartender was attentive.

Great community bar! They specialize in mienh food and they do it pretty well. The kasoy is delicious here and a must get every time i stop by. Papaya salad is made with fermented crab which adds a nice funk to the dish. Turkey butt (sounds weird I know) js perfectly fried with the best dipping sauce ever!! Prices are also very affordable.

Where else can you enjoy a cocktail with your noodle soup?? I love the kasoy here. What is even better is that it's only $7 for a reg size and $9 for a large. Great portion and generous with the meat, which I think is velveted because its tender. Also, the deep fried turkey tails had that fatty goodness. Next time, I will have to try the deep fried chitlins and pad thai. Enough about food because this is also bar... I would consider this a dive bar. They have 2 TVs, a pool table and a slot section.

The best place to go for late night asian food. I always order the kasoy, klan fin and the turkey tails. Kasoy is a SE Asian noodle soup, made differently in other cultures but overall they're essentially the same, if you get that lol but it's a rice noodle soup with bits of beef and ground pork in a flavorful broth. Klan fin is a rice flour and limestone jello like cubes that's served in tamarind juice. The main part of the snack aside from the rice flour and limestone jello is the pepper, almost everyone makes their pepper different but it's mostly soy bean paste, mixed with chili peppers and cilantro. It's a staple for the Iu Mien people! Their turkey tails is sooo good! It's deep fried and served with a pepper sauce similar for the klan fin pepper, just without the soy bean paste. I usually eat it with rice. You really can't go wrong with coming here, in addition to my favorites, they have other bar foods such as papaya salad and pad Thai. They also have burgers and fries for non Asian food lovers! The bar owner, Scott is also pretty cool too

Came here for some klang fen of course! I'm always craving it! Only place I know of currently who makes it! The menu is so cheap I love it for good quality food! All the appetizers are good beer food even though I hate beer! My favorite other than klang fen is the bung ho ( no it's not a butthole lol) but Chitlins! I don't think I've ever had it but they were really good! The gizzard was okay, kind of big pieces. We got all that for 21$ including an EXL kasoy! I'll probably always be back to fufill my klang fen cravings !

Yes!! Enjoy & love Mien Food.

Great Food and great people. Mien people started there own place. Go support and help them out.

Papaya salad, stir fried giblets, cracklings with hot pepper dip

This is the only place in Portland that serves some legit classic Mien food. It has a dive bar feel to it with slot machines and pool tables, but I come here for the food. I've had the fried cracklings with hot sauce dip, kasoy, papaya salad, and stir fried giblets. All the flavors are true to Mien and so good!

    Yummy papaya :)

I had the kasoy and it was disappointing. It was made with thin rice noodles & thick slices of beef. Not how it's usually made.

We had the Steak bites with Onions and Mushrooms, side orders of fries, side orders of wings, and Tacos. Food was what you'd expect at a Dive Bar. Everything's affordable, my tab only came out to $38 which shocked me. They have a Jukebox box which you can link to your TouchTunes if you have the app. There's lots of seats inside and out. It seems like it has a lot of regulars. Sam was our bartender for the night. She's very quick witted, multitasks without issue, and engages with all of the customers. Sam was very attentive, and came to clear our table as the empty glasses, and bottles started to pile up. There was another staff member there briefly who wiped the table down for us prior to seating, did not get her name. We went on a Tuesday night, small crowd, temperament was mild. No security presence that night but it doesn't seem like it was necessary for the type of crowd. If you're in the area, it's definitely a solid dive bar to check out. If it was closer to me i'd be a regular. Will keep this place in rotation when I travel back out to that side.

Warning: Their smoked chicken is so good your dog may violate you just to taste it!…read more Every morning I do a set of stretching and body weight exercises. Some of the stretching looks suspiciously like yoga, but "body weight exercises" sounds more manly. In between exercises I will make my breakfast and lunch, and that sometimes includes a few bites of leftovers. Tuesday's smoked chicken from Lariat Lounge was the best I have ever had in my life. It's normally awesome, but this time it was over-the-top, and I couldn't resist having a few bites while I made my breakfast. Seconds later I was doing a sideways stretch with both arms up past my head, so my ears were effectively covered and my eyes were closed as my head dipped close to the ground. That is normally a peaceful Zen-like experience as I can feel the stress leaving my body through my stretching muscles. Instead I was dragged from a blissful state of peace into a violent sense of being violated. With no warning, a giant Rottie tongue was forcefully plunged down my throat, as she tried to lick any remnants of smoked chicken from my mouth the way she would attack a Kong filled with peanut butter. I may have pulled one of those muscles being stretched, as I jerked my head away and sprinted for the kitchen sink, using the sprayer to hose out my mouth. I swear I heard Anya chuckle as I was running away. I may need counseling to get over this sense of being violated...

Stopped in for lunch today. I had barbecue wings, JoJos and gizzards. The flavor was good on…read moreeverything, but the wings were over sauced and the gizzards were all breading. I was very excited for the gizzards cause you don't find them a lot anymore. My first couple were fantastic and then they started getting kind of gummy because there was so much breading. I actually peeled a couple of them and had a large pile of breading and little bitty gizzards inside. Service was poor. It took forever for somebody to take my order. I received zero drink refills because they never came back. The servers were extremely nice. It's just they never came back to my table. I may or may not go back. It was not a bad experience, but it wasn't good either.
