My husband and I always have a great time at the Stagecoach. The girls behind the bar are always friendly and make us feel welcome there. They are always happy to wait on us, and seeing their smiling faces always puts a smile on ours. We have met lots of awesome & fun people, whom we look forward to seeing and hanging out with. The Stagecoach has a great atmosphere. They have the best Karaoke every Friday and Saturday evening. The KJ's always do their best to put the singers in rotation, and it's so fun to watch and listen to everyone sing and dance to the music. Not sure what that Jay B person is talking about, the Karaoke is awesome there, and there is a good rotation, the KJ's rotate in new singers frequently. The atmosphere at the coach is very welcoming, the bartenders are amazing, funny,and friendly, and know how to make a great drink. The food is top quality, and filling, at a great price. The burgers are award winning. All in all its a great place to go and meet new people, or old friends. Sorry Jay B and his friends had such a bad time, but I really dont think his bashing the Karaoke singers song choices and quality was needed. I've heard some damn good singers in that place, more than bad ones. read more

Walked in by myself and suddenly get approached by management aggressively. I am waiting in line, sober, and well-dressed coming from a work event . The manager approach me -- never been in the club -- and rather than me getting offered a drink, I am told I am not welcome. Come to find out... two girls walked in and one of them was 86. It appears that they assumed since I am black -- like the 86'ed girl -- and I was with her and the gal I was standing in line behind. I was rudely approached. Rather than an apology from the male speaking on his manager behalf, a bartender finally clears everything out and then grabs me a drink unapologetically as she witnessed everything. So rather than drinking, I couldn't help but walk out. Spending money here didn't feel right! Hopefully managers see this and don't send a subordinate to handle management job and conduct things in a professional manager. I would suggest asking if the party is together rather than making inferences since two people are similarly colored. So rude! This place is normally pretty good. Today was an exception. It is snowy outside, so I walked from my house to order food. They did not let me know. It was gonna be an hour wait and I have no problem with that but that should give them enough time to cook a steak medium rare and have veggies like it's supposed to. This steak is blue. A medium rare steak would have the light pink that's at the top and bottom edges in the very center. No veggie was a letdown too. This is a $17 meal and I tipped $5 on top. This is our new late place because it's so close to Gresham and for many other reasons. I wish we had discovered it before but that's life! You can always find a good parking spot. They have a full dinner menu. The bartenders are friendly and quick to offer a menu. Friendliness, that's what I love the most :) We're having a great time listening to karaoke and it is a fun crowd. read more

Walking through the batwing doors is a bit like stepping back into a 19th century saloon (if you can ignore the neon lights and beer posters). You can almost hear the sound of heavy boots and jingling spurs, gunslingers playing poker, and mugs of cold beer sliding down the bar to a thirsty patron. The Stagecoach feels like an artifact from a time long gone, and I mean that in a good way: pubs like this are no longer common, and finding one in Portland (well, Fairview, but close enough) is even more unheard of. Despite its country aesthetic, the clientele within seemed to come from all walks of life, which was unexpected but pleasant. We came in at lunch and it took over 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge that we were there. We did not get prompt refills or service. There was a group of 5 of us. The place was not busy, only about 3-4 other tables were there. It took nearly two hours for us to have lunch here. They don't have hard boiled egg available for the salad, so I ordered the BLT instead. It was just ok, and I had to ask for mayo as there was hardly any on it. The fries were also just ok, there was no salt or pepper on them. Just plain. I would not recommend this place at all. I went to the bar to get a drink and she was sitting at a table with her back to the bar, no prob, it's slow, but then acted annoyed that I wanted a drink. She was snotty when we asked for the bill later and refused to split it between two parties. This is the place to get a big and tasty burger! We have gone back here time and time again for these massive flavorful burgers! There is some variety in toppings and styles that are fun, and the salads you can get as a side are pretty nice for a chef salad. The price is a bit higher than any old burger shack, but they do make it worth it. The bartenders are very nice(we really like Chaand the food comes out pretty quick too! Stopped in for drinks on the 4th of July. My service was exceptional! There was 1 waitress and she was taking care of everyone and there were a good amount of people in there. She was in good spirits and checked in consistently. Drinks we typical of a hole in the wall bar and were priced well. They have daily food and drink specials. The reason I only gave 2 stars is because the cook was a straight up JERK to the waitress. He was rude and condescending and didn't even try to hide it. I genuinely felt bad for her. He didn't care that the customers could hear him being mean to her. I wouldn't mind coming back to try the burgers I keep hearing about but my deterrent is a cook who thinks he's better than the waitress and can treat her any way he wants to. read more

Make sure you request that your food arrives hot, otherwise you'll get room temperature food and cold sides. Never experienced it before, but the meal seemed pre-cooked, stored in a cooler, then served when someone finally ordered it without even the respect of microwaving. Been to this establishment before, and I will now advise that a party over 4 persons is beyond the staff's capability to service well, even when the owner is among the patrons for early Saturday morning breakfast and beer. At least the beer was cold, but the selection is miniscule. Pretty sure they have empty/unused taps though. Might be a fun late-night hangout when you've already drank enough to not notice or mind the slow understaffed service. Visit with no expectations so you aren't let down. Do better. read more

We went to the Stagecoach for the first time today. They had a bacon bloody mary special for 6.50 (strip of bacon was in the glass along with the usual lemon and lime, pepperonchini and celery). I had tbe steak sandwich and salad with bleu cheese and he had the stagecoach burger and fries. Our servers Dena and Courtney were great. Only 2 stars for the Stagecoach? What is that about? Yes, it's a dive bar but it's the best damn dive bar in Fairview. Not only do they have a funny DJ that actually will play your requests (no matter how bad the song may be), they also have an awesome cook that will bring you tater tots when you only want a couple because you are hung over from the night before from being there. They had pretty good food and their burgers... I dare you to finish their 3 all beef patty challenge with delicious and tasty french fries. My brother Jason can't shut up about those fries. I've never had a bad time here. The bartenders are sweet and go out of their way when your slot machine acts up and refuses to print out your winning ticket (this only happened once). Parking is not bad and it's easy to walk back to my brother Hump's house after he just streaked out of this place for the millionth time. Never fear... he will wear Superman speedos from time to time. Thanks to the Stagecoach for the memories and the new ones I will make when I go visit my family again soon. read more
