We were sitting at lunch in the drizzly rain trying to figure out what to do with the rest of our day in Memphis, since the walking tour we were going to do was not going to work out. After a bit of searching I found Time to Ride & though was a little weird but starting reading the reviews & saw a large number of reviews saying how great George was. So we said...why not & my husband gave him a call. He answered right away & was able to come pick us up about an hour later, in the mean time he told us of a couple of things to see in the area if we were done eating before he arrived. Once he picked us up he asked us what we would like to see and we were able to customize a sight seeing tour where over the next hour and a half he took us to many Memphis sights that you wouldn't get to see on a commercialized tour while giving us history of the areas he was taking us through. It's always a nice touch when the person showing you around is proud & passionate about their city. Before George dropped us back off he gave several eating recommendations to try before we left Memphis. The last bit I will leave you with is customer service and communication, he's great at it. First he answered the phone when we called, no voice mail or answering service, then he called 15 minutes before pickup to let us know he was on his way, lastly he sent a follow up text later that evening thanking us for our business. A 5-day trip to Memphis as part of a once in a lifetime trip to the USA from the UK. Due to our arrival day, I knew we would miss the once-a-week trip from Graceland to Tupelo. (My wife is an avid Elvis fan) After a lot of searching, I came across Time To Ride Transportation and messaged George to see if he could take us to Tupelo & back. Not only did he agree to do that, he also was more than happy to be our chauffeur for the few days. This was a huge weight off my mind as we were staying about 10km outside of Downtown Memphis and the bus service is not exactly reliable (in fact, we only saw 3 buses in our 5 day stay!) George took us wherever we wanted and picked us up afterwards, giving us some bonus trips all over Memphis from Harbour Town, Overton Park, to the Victorian district, & Big Bass Pro Shop and gave us a great history of the city on each trip. He texted each time to let us know he was on the way, so you always had peace of mind. George is incredibly proud of his hometown of Memphis, and this really came out during our trips with him. He's incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. We never felt rushed, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time without any worries or concerns. George gave us a personal service and I would most definitely recommend him to anyone needing transport around Memphis or further if needed. You can't go wrong with George. George was amazing! He absolutely went above and beyond. I was driving back to Texas and I hit a deer, about 50 minutes outside of Memphis. I was able to book the first flight out of memphis, but at midnight, I was having a difficult time finding a ride to Memphis. Around 1a.m., I found George on Yelp. He was actually driving someone, but he gave me the name of a friend. The friend was also not available, but George called me within minutes to see if I was taken care of. When I told him no, he gave me another number. Again, no luck. He immediately called back to check on me. He then gave me the name of a 3rd friend. Coco. I could tell I had woken him up, but when I told him George gave me his number, he wasted no time coming to get me. As Coco and I were headed to Memphis, George called to check on me. We stayed at the Memphis KOA which is about 30 minutes from Memphis in our RV. We wanted to visit Graceland and tour Memphis but we didn't want to have to unhook and drive our RV. No rental cars were available. George (Time to Ride Tours) was recommended to us by the the folks running the KOA. We are SO glad for their referral. George brought us to Graceland on one day and took us on a very extensive tour the next day. He surpassed our expectations immensely. We learned way more about Memphis then we would have on any other tour and he catered it to what we were interested in. He let us get out from time to time to visit different places. He recommended an excellent place to eat on Beale Street. He dropped us off and came back to get us after we had time to eat and explore. His price was amazing for the tour that we received. I came across George by chance. The concierge at my hotel recommended him. Being a first time visitor to Memphis, I don't know the places worth checking out. George mentioned that he does personalised tours and told me that seeing Memphis through the eyes of a local, would make my visit even more complete. I booked him on the spot. This just made perfect sense. He then suggested Beale St, for my evening out and added a cafe that served great food. I followed his recommendation and had a wonderful night. George drove me back to my hotel. Next morning, I went on George's tour. He asked me what I was particularly interested in and formed a tour from that. We even made changes along the way. George is professional, friendly and very engaging. His prices a very reasonable, especially considering the great service and knowledge you're able to tap into. I had an early flight that required a hotel pick up at 4 am. First, I scheduled an Uber ride, since I was familiar with them. The drawback was that there was no guarantee that a driver would come at that hour and I was not reassured when they told me that they would let me know if no driver was available 15 minutes prior to my pick-up time. At that point, it would be too late to find a ride. I canceled my Uber, and tired George. The service was excellent. He was a few minutes early and ready to go. Conversation was pleasant and we got there on time. When it comes to paying for service, I know I will. Service has value only if delivered as expected. No knock on cabs or Uber, but George was worth the price. read more

George was a true angel during my hour of need. I was travelling on business with no rental car and became extremely ill with a kidney stone. He came to my hotel at midnight and rushed me to the closest ER. He gave me his card and said call me when you are done and I will take you back. I called George at 4 am and true to his word he came back for me and also was kind enough to stop at a 24 hr Walgreens and wait outside while I filled my prescriptions. He delivered me safely back to my hotel and shared some words of wisdom having had experience with kidney stones. I couldn't have asked for better service. George was a dream to deal with! He was very attentive to detail, arrived promptly and provided a wonderful tour of downtown Memphis during our route. He gave us the option of going the quick way or the scenic route. So glad we chose the latter because he showed us some highlights of Memphis history along the way. We are currently staying at the KOA in Marion right outside of Memphis in our rv (and towing a 19 foot utility trailer). Yesterday we decided to go into town, but we didn't have a vehicle to travel with. We called George, from "Time to Ride" transportation and let me tell you, I am so glad we did. He not only got us a ride out to Memphis, but he gave us a tour of Memphis while on our drive to get back to our site. I was in town for a very short period and didn't think I'd get to see much, but I knew I wanted to see the Civil Rights museum which was far from where I was staying. My hotel recommended that I call George. He came right away and not only took me to this awesome museum, but picked me up afterwards and took me to a handful of amazing sights that I would have never known about. Visited a renowned BBQ restaurant, saw key spots on Beale Street, stopped by Elmwood Cemetery, viewed buildings that played a role in the life of many musicians including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and more), took in architecture featured on the National Register of Historic Places. Four of us from Australia visited Memphis and we could not have done it without George. He collected us from our Hotel each morning, always on time and spotless car. George was a great guide for the quick city tour. He arrived on time and ask what we would like to see in the short time we had, then gave us a very clear and full tour. He was very thoughtful we were heading to the train station where he would drop us off, he was kind enough to let us know that there was no food at this station and he would be glad to go threw drive threw for us to get something to take with us.
