Staff was friendly however they were out of a handful of items (we were there around lunchtime) and only had 3 of their own beers. Their beers were okay and can't really speak to the food as just got fries. The Tabasco seemed as if they water it down which was really odd also being in a tiny bottle. Went to time travelers today as it had been a while. We've always liked the food despite slow service. We brought our family and told them how much we liked the food. Unfortunately it took over an hour to receive our food and none of us even finished it due to it being soggy and cold. I think this was the last straw for us. I'll come in to fill my husbands growler with Broken Spoke but won't be coming in for food. I was also disappointed with the waitress she took everyone's order at our table except mine I had to stop her and tell her I also needed to order. I really hate to write this review as this establishment is in my community, however the brussel sprouts were inedible as they were burnt to a crisp, the chicken caesar wrap had no Caesar dressing and very little chicken. The owner and manager (Lonzo) listens to his clients and makes the necessary adjustments to his menu as warranted. They were out of the stuff to make Rueben, no problem I chose a chef salad thinking that was safe. Server came out 15 minutes later and told us they couldn't make my husband's order either. At this point we considered leaving, but stuck it out. Another 15 minutes went by and I asked what the wait time was. They said 5 minutes on everything except the salad. The burgers and sliders were good. Surprised by my salad. Soggy, subpar lunch meat. Didn't finish even though I was hungry. What a wonderful experience!! It was our first time and definitely won't be our last! First, the server Codi was wonderful. A beautiful young lady inside and out, very personable, knowledgeable about their drinks and food and just a total sweetheart! We were also happy to see one of our favorite servers Geri from a different restaurant that we don't go to anymore. We had the Estacada lager and loved it. We both had their delicious burgers. The flavor of the meat was incredible and it was cooked to perfection. I had heard that the burgers were small but thats not true! I could only eat half but it was tempting to finish it. I had yummy fries, hubby had a great little salad. Everything was so fresh! I must try the beer batter fries next time. We sat outside with our dog but I had to go inside and the ambiance was lovely. TL:DR: I'll give it a solid 2.5. They're trying, but plenty of room for improvement. We've been in several times since opening: When they first opened, the beer battered fries were mostly uncooked, people had their personal dogs inside the restaurant while eating, one of the owners had latex gloves on when he walked from the kitchen into the dining area after we overheard him saying he was going to go back to handle raw meat... seems the sanitation and food issues got better than the first month. Now the beer battered fries are cooked through, but mostly bland, airy/super crunchy batter and you get very few fries in relation to batter compared to regular fries. Pretzels have WAY too much salt. Burger was pretty standard. Buffalo chicken crunch wrap was all chicken (props for a decent serving there) and buffalo sauce (way too much - overpowering and overwhelming) with a hint of lettuce and tomato (if you really look, you'll see a few small shreds), but no blue cheese dressing as described. Any new restaurant is expected to have growing pains, especially since the owners admittedly have no prior restaurant experience. We genuinely want to see them succeed - Estacada needs restaurants and bars that are casual, friendly, and have both good food and good beer. This last visit was disappointing. Only one server to do the entire front of the house and we had to ask for a few things multiple times because she was clearly feeling overwhelmed by being the only person working and forgot our requests. Meanwhile, aforementioned owner had enough time to gloat over recent recognitions for beers, but didn't really step up to help his only server. Also.... The plates are obnoxious from my perspective of a patron and a former server/kitchen prep staff member. They barely hold food on them, so the kitchen has to make it "look artistic" for the sake of the plate shape. And slate? If not properly sanitized, it's a breeding ground for bacteria. Can't safely stack it when clearing tables or serving food, slate has a high risk of breakage (maybe you'd enjoy some slate shards in your meal?), etc. they could be used occasionally, but the entire menu being served on these is flat out ridiculous and makes more work for your staff for the sake of appearance or aesthetics. While the place continues making improvements and is much better than Fearless, the lack of knowledge about the restaurant industry is still there. Some beers are better than others, and the food can still come a long way. Basically, it seems like they're trying to do too many things at once before nailing their basic offerings. Get the beers right, get your food staples figured out so they're made great every single time, and then worry about experimenting with foods and presentation. The current plates are a literal nightmare to any kitchen staff and servers (speaking from experience in both). read more

I first picked this place because it was empty and one of the only places open on a Sunday. When I ordered my local cider I was just handed the can. When I looked around, everyone else had their drink poured in a glass or mug. Then I proceeded to waited 34 mins for my meal to come out. Meanwhile, I'm sitting at the bar and I can see into the kitchen. I see the cook with laughing and eating while cooking customers food. I'm mainly disappointed in how the cooks operate the kitchen. First time was the brisket...it was delicious but cold. The Mac and Cheese need an upgrade...more flavor. Cole Slaw is very, very good. 2nd time was the Smash Burger and pulled pork...but were so good. Our service was fine. First night was a little slow, but nothing tragic. The 2nd time as much better. I am not down with the slate plates...going to give all the servers carpel tunnel syndrome...no kidding. I love the changes and atmosphere...open, friendly, inviting. I will say that the menu continues to expand and it looks very promising, but still a bit overpriced. Went to Time Travelers Brewery today, it was our first time there and enjoyed a great meal. My wife and I love reuben sandwiches so that's what we ordered. First off they weren't very busy which was nice and the service and friendliness of the server was awesome. The sandwiches were very good not greasy or soggy like some places we've been, they were very firm without being dry, and they were very tasty. Now my wife had the Mac and Cheese with her reuben and I had the fries. The Mac n Cheese was delicious and the fries were awesome with a hint of garlic flavor to them. Overall, from the wait staff to the food it was a great meal. I know its a brewery but didn't partake of any libations, but other were sure enjoying them. We will definitely be going back. read more

If I could rate this time traveling brewery it really would be a zero. At this point in time in my life, I have no interest in time traveling. I just want to enjoy my day and my meals. The one IPA served was not drinkable. First sip was ghastly. On to the dinner, which was a big mistake. We ordered the prime rib dip which our waitress explained to us that they had no prime rib, but would Tri tip be OK. We said yes. When the sandwich arrived it was smothered in some cheese and thick mayonnaise. The beef was gristly and tough and nearly impossible to bite through. We did have two small side salads that were a-okay. The only decent part of our dinner experience was our waitress. After dinner we headed over to the local market and got a frozen pizza that was not so good but definitely been better than the dinner with the time travelers. read more

I have now tried every beer of theirs, and all are really smooth, bursting with complex flavors. Hint: Sometimes they have produced a beer not on the menu. I've tried a few of those and they are fantastic as well. Ask the waitress. So if you were in this place when the horrible Gruesome Twosome Ken and Benett Johnson had Fearless (Farless) Brewery and had the usual for them worst experience you have ever had in a pub, you will be pleasantly surprised how much better this place is. First. I love this place. The folks who serve are kind and work really hard. It's family friendly even if that doesn't matter to me. The beer is good and so is the food. But.. this is hard for me to do. But it needs to be said. A group of seven of us came in. All regulars. Friday night. The place was busy. I'm happy you are busy. We all want you to thrive and be successful. We waited 35 minutes to get a beer. Give the customer a beer really quick and we can accept longer wait for food on busy night. Staff was working their butts off. This comes down to management choices. Its hard to staff when its roulette weather its going to be busy or not. Too much staff and the waitress staff makes less money. Too little in the kitchen and it's really tough in there too. You need a lifeline on nights like this. Three of my party just went home. We only stayed out of loyalty and wanted time with our friends. Please figure this out. Bring in a consultant and everyone will be much happier. This is hard work. read more

Came here about 2 hrs before closing on a Sunday night. Server said it had been a very busy day, which probably explains why they were out of the first 3 things I ordered. Husband's bacon cheese burger was good, as were my very crunchy tots. Salads were okay. Servers were very attentive at the start, but it took awhile to order our food and get a bill to us. They do however need more wait staff during busy mealtimes (dinner) but mostly, sadly, last but not least, they have a constant flying pest problem that we have experienced the last two visits (fruit flies, understandable as they brew in house but other breweries do not have this issue). We're from out of area and were planning a wedding near Estacada. We looked all over for a rehearsal dinner space. I can't tell you how happy I am that Raina and Time Travelers was one of the many I called. In the end, they allowed us to rent the entire space on a Friday night in August for the rehearsal dinner. They were amazing in every way. Their communication in months prior to event was perfect. Everything the night of the dinner went better than we could have hoped for. Everyone loved the appetizers, meals, drinks, service, and overall feel of the space. The staff really gave us special attention. Finally got to try the new brewery in town. Went with my 2 kids for a late Saturday lunch. Had a cider flight, which was a great way to try 4 ciders in an afternoon without getting sloshed, lol. They were all fantastic and I would happily order any of them as a pint in the future, the guava was my favorite though. I had a smash burger and fries, the kids had mac and cheese and a cheeseburger. My son said it was the best cheeseburger he's ever had! The smash burger and fries were great as well. The mac and cheese tasted homemade and rich, not like the box mix that places will usually put on the kids menu. Service was good, as it got busier we were left to ourselves for awhile which was fine with us as the kids were coloring and I was finishing up my ciders. It was nice to not feel like were getting rushed out as soon as the food was done. When we started putting our coats on and getting our things together a really nice server came over with our check so they were definitely keeping an eye on us even though they were hands off. Very disappointed! Tonight was the second time we were here. Got to the brewery at 7:00 pm. Waited 85 minutes for our meal. The Mac and cheese was dry and cold. Burnt ends were also cold. (They truly were not burnt ends) The fries came 15 minutes after my meal. The smash burger was awesome, but the fries were not all the way cooked. Noticed the owner sitting at the bar counter drinking and chatting, you would think he would go into the kitchen and help out. A few weeks ago was the first time we went here and we had beers and a order of fries. We finally gave up on our fries and paid the bill and left.
