Second visit to Wichita Town Pub. Kathleen was on. Not "a Kathleen." The Kathleen. She's got a dry, slightly dangerous sense of humor and the exact energy of a hot tattooed librarian who used to be a teacher and never fully retired from giving people "the look." She will banter with you. She will also silently decide whether you deserve another drink. Both things occurred. Thursday late afternoon the place actually has a crowd that knows what it's doing. Not tourist chaos. Not sad-day-drinking. Just people who found the correct bar by accident and then refused to leave. There is now a live possibility that Kathleen and I duet "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Saturday night. I came for a beer. I may leave having performed Motown with management. Life comes at you fast. Great spot. If I lived closer I'd have a tab, a nickname, and a court-ordered limit. Fifth star pending the duet. Kathleen, don't make me sing this alone. The service is always consistent and all the girls are great. Most TV's work and play sports 24/7. There are many good quality billiards, however they are always very busy. Many different leagues play at this location. Ambiance varies by day and time but mostly positive. Wichita has a large menu and all the food is delicious. This is my second visit and both hade the same great service. They are friendly, patient to answer questions and very quick. I tried breakfast this time. The veggie omelet was packed with perfectly cooked broccoli, mushrooms, onions and peppers. Last time I had the chicken tender salad and it was awesome! This was the burger I needed! Wichita Pub blends in to its surroundings, but once you are inside it's a whole new world! The service was great and we put our order in fast. The fries gizzard appetizer was first out. I know that sounds funky, but it is delicious. Fried to perfection in an amazing batter. Dipped in ranch it is devine! The mushroom bacon burger was cooked beautifully and the bun was soft and fresh. The krinkle fries were also cooked to a beautiful golden brown. Every part of the meal was great. I can't wait to get back to try out more options off this great menu! read more

I'm only giving them 3 stars. Not for the food but for the servers. There was a dark haired one & an older gal. It's a pub so basically what you get is what a pub is- not the nicest intro. One of my friends showed up & said what table she was going to & the dark haired girl said "Are you sure you want to sit with them?" Insinuating what? Just because you don't get a full introduction doesn't mean you should be unprofessional. The good is decent. To come back or not? I won't. Best of luck to the owner. read more

This local bar located off highway 212 is a great stop when you are feeling hungry and wanting a drink. Leila is one of the nicest servers I have met at this establishment. The chicken quesadillas is a must if you are feeling hungry. The screwdrivers are always on par. The bar vibe offers a great ambiance of having lunch or dinner. Arrived on an overcast spring Sunday at 12:30. We found a small booth right away and were immediately greeted and ordered beers. After looking over the pretty large menu, my date ordered the Swiss dip burger with cole slaw and I ordered the Mushroom, bacon cheese burger with fries. Our server recommended a great beer for me that had a high IBU. Prices are reasonable for today's pub menus. They do have a Happy-hour Mon - Fri 3-6pm. Beers were $6.75 each. Food came to our table in about 20 minutes. Food comments: burgers were unquestionably well done. My fries might have benefited from another 30 seconds in the fryer. Mushrooms were there but were over cooked and didn't add to the flavor. Overall service was great. Would we return: sure, we'd come back. read more

Just this evening my husband stopped to pick up a French dip sandwich to bring home for dinner. They did not include the au jus sauce. When i called to explain what has happen the gal that answered the phone took 0 responsibility and when I had explained, not only did she sound completely put out but blamed another worker, She then told me that I would need to drive 4 miles back in the freezing dark to return the food for a refund. There is better customer service out there with better food. I would compare there's hospitality and customer service to a MC Donald's drive thru. read more

I work close to the Wichita, and have always had a great experience stopping in for a drink, snack or meal. Every bartender has been kind and attentive and set a casual atmosphere where everyone can feel welcome. The food is better than typical bar food and I can't recommend the pickle chips, Cajun tots, or cheeseburger enough! read more

The kids breakfast was great. They can work on potatoes and toast though - nearly raw potatoes and bread. Go figure. Omelet was pretty good. At least they haven't started totally gouging like most places. Food still in the "normal" zone. Trying my best to ban places that think their cheeseburger, omelet or sandwich is worth anywhere near $20. Give me a break. Too many of those places to count now. Ya know... we come here because it's close to the office. I didnt want to be yelping hard at the lunch bite so, I left photoless.. I got a clackamas burger, egg, ham, bacon, 8oz meat with a side of tader tots. It was good, I hate that a bar burger is now 10 bucks, but this is quite doctored up so I may let it slide. The meatbisboretty standard, but doesn't seem to be frozen patties. The ficlxings were good! Tots were exceptional, and the staff was there... typical bar staff, they seem to run at half speed. Have been coming for years, always busy. But food comes out quickly, service is quick and friendly, prices are reasonable. My husband is a taco aficionado and they have taco night on Mondays! Hallelujah he's in heaven! Poker machines are heavily used, some people put up signs and pretend to go out to smoke, but go to deli next door or Chinese food around the corner and never come back!!! I've frequented this place many times in the past and recently had an opportunity to come back. This place has a welcoming pub-style vibe with TVs in the bar, pool tables, video poker and plenty of seating. Our server was very friendly and checked on us regularly. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp, Wichita steak, and chicken fried steak - all were super tasty! I'd definitely recommend checking this place out for a bite to eat. read more

Was hoping third time was the charm. First of all each order even if you're picking it all up at once is $0.50 each. I don't see anything on the menu that says that and she didn't tell me that on the phone when I ordered. She also didn't tell me that it is a dollar extra for me to get tots instead of fries, doesn't say that on the menu. The steak is very bland, there is no seasoning at all. I frequently eat breakfast at witchita only because of the price but frankly the food is hit or miss. The hashbrown are either burnt or undercooked all to often and toast is an extra 2 bucks. The other day I ordered an all american breakfast with the eggs being poached over medium and all 3 eggs were all hard even after they remade the eggs! The waitress joy tells me maybe you should get your eggs cooked another way. The level of disrespect from the morning staff is unbelievable towards patrons! The manager has the same attitude one morning he was cooking and sent me out burnt bacon and I called him out on his piss poor cooking skills and he told me I complain to much. Great service, and great food for a bar. The menu is enormous, the plates of food are enormous, and the drinks are stiff. Not sure what more you can ask for from a bar. The narcissistic dumb fucks leaving negative reviews on here are hilarious, it's really worth a read. "I'm 68 and just had open heart surgery and was tailgated all the way to this place" lol are you kidding me? People are so dumb. I stopped by here a few days ago because I needed to kill some time while waiting for another business around the corner to get back from lunch. Didn't expect much from it being a "pub" but gave it a shot. I walked into the area designated only for adults 21 and I'm almost 70 and the servers seemed preoccupied with talking. One looked grouchy the whole time and the other was my waitress. My waitress seemed to loosen up a bit and act personable which is always a good thing when dealing with the public. The food was great but I only had a burger and fries. I wish the business the best and if people work with the public they should leave their problems at home or find another job. I would stop here again and recommend but don't expect stellar customer interection. read more

I come here with my boyfriend late nights to play pool! The bartender is always checking in making sure everything is tasty. I love that they're open late (2:30 I believe) so when you're feeling hungry and want some mozzarella sticks, this is the place! Only because I've been there and done that :-D! I have eaten here several times over the years. They used to be a good deal, lots of good food for a decent price. They hiked their prices and it is not as good a deal as it was. I understand finding good help is hard in this economy. I visited there for breakfast, found it interesting that you have to wait to be seated. When I was there, they had a total of 3 tables being served. The waitress seated me and asked if I wanted something to drink to which I said yes. She then asked the next table if they wanted another beer. I assumed she would bring my drink back with the other tables beers. No, she went ahead and delivered the other tables beers and went back to the bar area. She then made some coffee and was involved in a deep discussion with the bartender about child custody issues of one of their friends. Meanwhile, I am sitting there with no drink and she has not asked what I want to order. 10 minutes go by while they are in their child custody discussion before I finally get up and leave. Somebody needs to pay attention to what is going on here. When you cannot serve 3 tables in that size of a restaurant you have problems. read more
