I'd give 0 stars if I could. After 20 years of being with these jerks and suffering through frequent outages, much lower than advertised speed and constant price increases, we had the opportunity to use another ISP. I canceled my Spectrum service 9 days into the billing cycle and they charged me for the entire month. When I complained, I was told this was correct and I should read my contract. I will do without the internet if I'm ever in another situation where Spectrum is my only choice. read more

Internet always going down with no information at all from spectrum. When you call, you must go through 0 different menus to speak with someone and when you finally do, they say they don't know how long it will take. My internet has been out for 2 days with no info about when it will be back. The employees are always so rude. Terrible service. I will NEVER have Spectrum as a service provider again! The customer service is horrific - speaking with 3-4 different people to take care of one concern is ridiculous. The prices increase at least once each year and the service decreases in quality. I cancelled my account last month and just received a bill for another month of service. read more

I had my cable turned off and keep the internet when I got my bill they charged me for the next month March 13 to April 12 I turned it in on March 15. They said that they can't probate the bill, if they would have told me that I would have waited until April 12 to turn it in. That's High Point NC for you. Details, details. On the "we can keep your number" claim. I was told this by the sales representative but later found out they changed my number and it would take weeks (12/4-12/17) to get my old number ported. To do this you also have to keep paying your old service provider to keep the number available. On contacting my old service provided I found out that they hadn't even put in a request for the port although Spectrum assured me they did on multiple occasions. For that reason I cancelled the request for the port but once the wheels were set in motion it was difficult to even cancel that request. If you want a land line to use a fax you need to get a line splitter or pay for two lines. The installer just hooked up both voice ports to make it appear I had two lines. Only one voice port will work with one line. The claim you can run other TVs off WiFi is also problematic. Only service I found to work exceptionally well is nomorobocall. My landline was ringing off the hook before I got this service and it cut spam calls down to close to zero. The service I had before only let you block 10 numbers and could not tell you which of those blocked numbers was still making calls, making that "service" worthless. read more

I posted a review for spectrum mobile on March 3, and in response I received a text threatening suspension of my service if my bill is not paid by April 3, which is when it is due. So, I will continue by blasting the company for charging me for a plan that was offered on as a 30 day trial, that I ended on the same day the plan was initiated. How does that begin to make sense. It was a 30 day trial offer, that I terminated on the SAME day because I didn't like the television lineup. Spectrum's practices are bordering on making the company a complete scam. When I ended the trial, the representative assisting me did not return me to the original plan, and they charged me for local, free channels you don't need their service to use. I wish that I could post a review with negative stars. The Internet only works half the time and no matter what we do we pay $300 a month for service that never works when we need it. I am so happy to be ditching the service. I am a customer of 18 yrs. The internet is not worth the price and the tv isn't either. The price for the low quality service you get is way too high. Time Warner was always willing to negotiate on my bill but since going to Spectrum they apparently have no interest in keeping a long time customer happy. I was a customer of TWC for about 12 years total and have never been happy with their service, so when fiber became available in my community, I switched. Feb. 2015, I brought my equipment to this location in High Point and canceled my service. I was given a receipt and told I would receive my final bill and to pay it then. TWC continued to bill me full price for THREE MONTHS. Each month I called, and was told it would be straightened out and I would get a corrected final bill. Each month I would get a bill adding another month of service. Then I started getting calls from a scammy collection agency who refused to stop calling, even though they acknowledged that TWC had listed it as an account canceled three months prior. Finally, the third month I got someone who did the adjustment with me right on the phone, I paid the actual correct final bill with her via the phone and she gave me a reference number. A month later, surprise! Another bill from TWC, this time for just over $9. I called back again, and got a rep who informed me I owed them over $300 for several months of service and then she refused to connect me to a supervisor and asked me if I thought I was tough. Then she stuck me on hold for over 10 minutes. I called back again and requested a supervisor, and this time was told that the rep was wrong and would be spoken to, the $9 would be credited and this should finally take care of everything. It should not take me four months to cancel a service, I should not have to tolerate abuse from service reps, and the collection agency is still harassing me for the nine dollars I DON'T OWE. I have quite literally never received such rude, insolent, indifferent and incompetent service from any company as I have from TWC. read more

Absolutely the single worst experience I have ever had in dealing with a business in any field of service. I recently bought my first home in April of 2015, and chosen this company as my TV and Internet service. My wife and I both have jobs that require us to do a fair amount of work from home and went with their 50 mbps plan. Little did we know what a lark their claim of 50 mbps was at the time. In the course of the last 6 months we saw peaks of 3mbps on days we could even connect at all. We regularly called their customer service and reported our issues and they promptly sent out technicians with no results. Over the several past months we had 10 different techs out here 4 of which were "supervisors" that we were assured would fix our woes with each individual visit(2 of the normal techs they sent out actually fried our in home router so we had to visit the store and get a replacement which we were additionally charged for as well....since it was some how our fault the tech had broken our router). After all of this nonsense of the last 6 months, my wife and I had then called and ask for some form of credit, or change to our service plan, since on a good month we would get connectivity for an astonishing 5 days a week at a blazing 3 mbps of our payed for 50 mbps. The options they gave us either increased the over monthly charge or by deferring to a lower tier of service or a one time credit of $20 to our $300 a month bill. After hearing these paltry at best options we requested to speak with a supervisor and discuss our plight. As we talked with said supervisor we once again received no solution or even placation to our issues. We refused to let the last six months of our loyal patronage go for nought. On a near daily basis we called them, or contacted them through online support seeking some resolution or reconciliation. The final outcome was that TWC choose to disconnect our service while my wife and I were disputing service issues. I fail to see how it's a appropriate that I receive such horrid service and fruitless support and yet faithfully payed my bill in full each month for less than one tenth of my contracted amount. Then when I asked for some sort of financial compensation until our service contract could be up held on TWC's end we get a laughable $20 dollars on our $300 bill and then disconnect while remaining woefully disatified. Well played TWC, you pretty much lost a potential very loyal customer. read more

I have had Time Warner Cable for about two years now and I have never had more problems. Whether its telling me my bill will be $80 a month to getting billed $99 each month instead, bringing the wrong cable set up box and making me get a new one, installing my internet incorrectly, or having them draft out of two of my account each month double billing. Their service is the worst and I don't recommend it to anyone. I live in an apartment and they are the only company that provides here. Therefore when I get the chance to cancel my services with them I will not hesitate. Again I DO NOT recommend Time Warner Cable! I am very dissatisfied with all of their services. read more

I called customer service to report my box was messed up, I have 2 boxes in my house, rep was scheduling a tech to come out to the house and said she wouldn't schedule because there was an outage in my area...so I had service on one box and a loud malfunctioning box that she said would work fine when the outage was resolved....Called back in to have someone to come out and exchange my box because I am unable to and she said I need to get it back to an office because they can't schedule someone to come out...I said geez it is their DEFECTIVE equipment that is LOUD and MALFUNCTIONING, she said I needed to take it and exchange it myself if I didn't want to plug it in...Sure and as my house burns down in the meanwhile....Customer service sucks bigtime....but you call promptly for payments like clockwork but I can't get working equipment. read more
