Never been to this store before, but my 11-year-old daughter begged me to take her. So I looked it up online. It looked amazing--only downside? We live an hour away. I told her it was probably too far, and she seemed way more disappointed than I expected. Out of curiosity, I started reading the reviews... and wow. The way the owner responds to negative comments had me literally laughing out loud. They don't just defend their business--they back it up with facts and call people out in the most hilarious and professional way. That sealed it. We're 100% going on a road trip. Anyone who puts that much energy into protecting their business and their team from unfair reviews totally deserves our support (and our money). Running a business is hard enough without dealing with bitter online trolls. Let's goooo! read more

An exceptionally rude staff. We walked in and after being greeted we said; "Thank you! Just looking around today" and the old staff member proceeded to have petty comments while we shopped and tried to check out. Saying "Well you would have known about the sale if you left me finish"-- and then CONTINUED with "Well we greet all of our customers but since you didn't want to hear it". Something must have happened over the holiday because he was VERY unhappy and wouldn't stop making the rudest comments. So my mom, after three statements by this elder, said "You don't have to be rude sir"-- and that's what set him off. that's when I asked to halt the purchase. And then I continued to be berated. I'm a little confused? As to why I had to continuously have petty comments thrown at me while I was buying things?. But then again, judging by their "full" parking lot... well... I wish them luck on all their "sale" today. If they make one. read more

Vintage/ antique stores can be very hit or miss. There is nothing I hate more than giving a new one a try only to find its only stocked with grandma's glass ware that did sell in the estate sale. Time Warp has a little something for everyone. (Clothes, toys, pop culture, vintage Detroit items, sports collectibles). As someone else mentioned, the place is very well organized. the owners are very attentive and provide great service. The prices aren't outrageous either, which is not always the case when vintage shopping. read more

I stopped by on the recommendation of a friend. I wasn't looking for anything particular. Upon entering we were greeted by one of the proprietor's who pointed out a few area's we should look at after talking to us a few minutes. Their jewelry section was awesome! I even got some beads as I make jewelry. Quite a selection of salt and pepper shakers. Some cool old toys and a good selection of Halloween decor. I will definitely be back. This store has everything! We initially went here to check out vintage/used china, but were we in for a treat. The second we entered, greeted by friendly staff and a very knowledgeable owner(?) who even gave me some background history on some of the items in his shop. We had no idea they had vinyls, so we were thrilled and spent much longer than initially anticipated for this trip. It was a lovely surprise- walked away with an affordable set of china and a couple of vinyls. Can't wait to see what else they'll have in a few months! Be back soon!! read more

Met the owners in line at a grocery store years ago. Went to their shop the next day AND GOT HOOKED. The vast impeccable inventory combined with the friendly relaxed atmosphere is so awesome. Both Steve and Jason are very knowledgeable and so informative. I buy vintage Christmas gifts there every year and stop in to say hi almost once a month, and I always leave with something. VERY very cool store! I see a lot of vintage/antique shops where half (or more) of the merch is crap, and you have to weed through a lot of stuff to find anything good. Not the case here! They've got a huge, well-curated collection of collectibles, antiques, oddities, and everything in between. We spent at least an hour roaming around. I especially love how items are organized into groups and categories (salt and pepper shakers, bar ware, sports, bizarre, jewelry, etc. It makes the browsing experience a little less overwhelming. The staff was also very welcoming and eager to help open displays and offer fun facts and tidbits of info about the items. I will say that the store felt very cramped, and I was a bit on edge squeezing between and around some displays - and I'm a small guy. Also, a lot of the prices seemed a touch steep, but I guess that's the tradeoff for not having to sift through a bunch of junk to find something worthwhile. read more

Long standing shop with A LOT of stuff. Prices are not too crazy and he had 20% off the entire purchase special going on. There's a huge jewelry and religious items selection here, dishes, police stuff... everything lol. I've antiqued all over Florida and Arizona. Wow! How organized and what a nice feel from your typical antique store. Have a pretty wide collection of things ranging from old toys (waiting for a new lite brite--woohoo) to jewelry to kitchen items. I got a locket from 1930-1940's here, the owner went digging for me after asking if they had any lockets! I love it and it was priced reasonably. It really just feels like you are walking into an old store and not a garage sale like most of these types of stores feel, their name does them justice! Will be back. read more

I hired Time Warp to handle an estate sale. They were incredible. The conscientious attention to detail, care and concern for the customer and their unique circumstances, and the strong sense of ethics are hard to find in this day and age. They lived up to the name Time Warp with their old fashioned work ethic and genuine caring for the customer. It was truly from another place in time. I am extremely grateful to them for the honor and sensitivity they showed my 95 year old grandmother and her heritage. It was the end of an era for her having to sell her home of 68 years and Time Warp helped to make it a dignified one. I would highly recommend them. One of my new favorite antique stores! There is a great variety of items; truly a "little bit of everything". Owner Jason was super-helpful throughout our shopping trip: once he saw my love of old board games, he showed me other spaces throughout the store where more were hiding. We will definitely be adding this store into our regular antique store rotation- I'm excited to see what new treasures we will uncover! The only way this place could be better is if it stretched for miles and miles. You have to stop in. They have everything--Pyrex, jewelry, barware, clothes, vinyl, Halloween decorations and a whole assortment of awesome oddities. The owners are nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I really like coming here. It's antiques meets oddities meets Detroit heritage. You can find pretty unique things here for your house or your friends. I really like how they have a huge selection on Detroit at vintage stuff and a lot of other vintage stuff that you can just say hey this looks cool in my house. The owner of this place is a really laid-back nice guy that you can have a good conversation with and just talk about history and the beauty of the stuff made back that. Plus he is very polite when I comes down to say the other day I was there with my sister and her boyfriend and you saw a couple come in and one of them accidentally broke something and was willing to pay for it and the owner still said no don't worry about it I'll take care of it. That's what you really call a great owner someone who yeah he knows he's going to take a hit on it but at the same time doesn't take it out on his customers. And the cool thing about it is say you're looking for a certain piece he will take down your name your number and what you're looking for and if he comes across it he'll give you a call which is amazing. Who couldn't ask for a better place like this to grab you know cool unique item for their house. I really would recommend this place to anyone. The one thing I would love to see more of is maybe some more unique clothes from the past also. read more

Great little antique shop in a strip mall. The employees were very friendly and professional. they were very knowledgeable about the items in the store, They have vintage toys, art work, dishware, old comic books, vintage jewelry, great little assortment of old Hot wheels cars, old collectible lunch boxes from the 70s. collectible cans and bottles. vintage postcards, etc. This stuff is NOT in junky condition, collectors of antiques would really appreciate this stuff. Time Warp had a whole slew of stuff, to many things to list. so give them a try. They take appointments so you can bring in some of your antiques and collectibles and they just might buy them from you. read more

This is a review for the estate sale business. I've learned to never miss a Time Warp estate sale. Steve obviously doesn't skim the best merchandise from his clients to put in his antique shop. If you see an item on estatesales.com, it will be at the sale, providing you get there early enough. Steve is also the only person I have seen actively walking his estate sales to engage customers and answer questions. This man knows his product well and has never failed in being able to answer one of my questions. If it is possible to honest to a fault, these people are. I can only assume this company deal with their estate sale clients with the same level of integrity in which they deal with those of us that frequent their sales. read more

Called them to ask for help staging-planned on purchasing $200 worth of knic knacks-needed them to pull pieces together for me and I would be in at end of the day to purchase/pick up-owner Jason whined that it depends on how busy he gets (gave him all day on a Tuesday-come on!) kept claiming he may get swamped (so not interested in customer service with a resulting sale? wth!) went to the Salvation Army and pulled 15 pieces for $133...Time Warp not needed!!!!!!! read more

Time Warp is an amazing group of people!! After my father passed away I put his home up for sale.  I didn't anticipate how quickly it would sell.  I had not even begun to look through his belongings let alone try to sell them.  When I contacted the estate division of Time Warp, Steve was very pleasant to speak with.  He came out to my father's home and gave me a realistic estimate of what my father's belongings were worth.  When it came time for the sale the staff was amazing! They were very professional and organized.  They were mindful to watch the walls and doors as the furniture was being removed to ensure there would be no damage. At the end of the sale there were items that did not sell.  His cleaning staff came in and removed the items that were remaining cleaned the house, top to bottom.  When it came time to close on the house the new owners thanked me for cleaning the house so thoroughly. I wish I could have taken the credit but it was all thanks to Time Warp.  They provided me with a complete list of each item that was sold along with the receipts and a check in a timely manner.  While I hope I never have to do this again, I HIGHLY recommend Time Warp to anyone who needs an estate sales company. read more
