Owner doesn't maintain the beds. The bulbs are old, dim, flicker and some don't even come on. The Standup bed has 54 bulbs and 9 aren't working at all. The rest are so dim or flicker which is a sign that it's past time to replace them. I've tanned here for over 10 years and it's a shame that I had to find a new tanning salon. I loved it here but I'm not paying upwards of $100 a month to tan in beds that aren't tanning me properly. The gold bed, (their one and only super bed which is$115 a month) always has issues and has had a section of 8 consecutive bulbs in a row not working for over a year. It's pathetic. read more

I have visited here twice now. The girl who works there when I am there is really nice. I think the prices are really high compared to some other places and the selection is very limited. They have 3 different levels of beds. The one is quite Unique. It measures your melatonin and then makes sure you don't burn. I really liked this bed. The place is clean and has a good choice of lotions. They have many monthly packages and they have a spray tan, too. read more

Stay away from here at all costs. They are stealing money from college students. I went in for a membership and explained that I was an out of state student so I needed a plan that wouldn't charge me for the month of December because I wouldn't be in the state. When an employee verbally went over the contract with me she misinformed me about the payments and I was charged $50 for a month I couldn't use at all. After calling almost every day to explain the situation, I had girls telling me I would be refunded and nothing ever came from it. I tried to contact the owner for 3 weeks and after continually asking for a call from him, he was not understanding whatsoever. He would not honor what I was verbally told and was defensive and unprofessional. He offered me to pay another $50 for the month of January "so I can tan then". I haven't been in a tanning salon since I moved to Wilmington a few years ago and I totally forgot how good it feels to have soft, tanned skin! I got a spray tan by Jill and she was so professional. She explained everything in depth as she took the time to truly make sure I would get the results I wanted! She helped pick out my perfect color as well. The salon is very well set up and clean! I came here to get a tan for my formal. I scheduled an appointment two days prior to coming in. I was greeted very promptly when I walked in & was taken straight back to get my customized spray tan. The lady who sprayed me was very professional and my tan looked amazing, the tan also lasted about a week and a half. Highly recommend. read more

If your business hours are til 5 have the equipment functional until 5. Told me to come back in the morning because they had already broken the spray booth down 30 minutes before close. I didn't realize I was paying $80 a month for business hours that don't apply to me. I have an event tomorrow I was strategically planning my tan for so I of course planned on developing my tan over night. Her suggestion was to still come back in the morning... for what? To smell like spray tan and not be able to wear makeup and STILL be pale an hour later at my event? Lol. read more

They lost my account for the second time in their computer software changes. Wiped it clean Dispite several purchases every year since 2012. What records they have show me coming for free tans. I paid for them every year since 2012. Sent me off to find records to fix their erroneous computer software programs blaming someone named Jessica Wolf. This place is a hidden oasis that has been taking care of me for years. Can't say enough about the staff there. So I just showed up for my 4:30 PM appointment today on Sunday, May 14. The same appointment for which I received an email reminder yesterday. Imagine my surprise to find this establishment closed with a note on the door saying you closed at 2 PM for Mother's Day and yet no one called me to cancel or reschedule. A friend of mine mentioned this place because I live right down the road from Timeless Tans on Racine. I did the bronze tanning bed "membership" that's $18 a month and it's an auto draft (after three months you can cancel). It was also 50% off tanning lotion today and I got peace and harmony by Ed Hardy! The lowest price from what I saw was $22 for face tanners. The median of the rest of the lotions seemed to be about $50. The inside is dim and relaxing with a lot of nice wood paneling. The beds are nice, clean, and have a large fan at the bottom, as well as a radio and speakers! Amanda was great and very patient; she told me about the packages they offer and she spent time pulling out about 10 lotions so I could figure out which one I liked. This used to be my go to salon, and one i would recommend to friends and customers, but as of lately i don't even want to go myself. I have walked out three times in the past two weeks because of many issues with the staff and beds. And when i was able to tan, the towels were wet, stereo system didn't work and/or there was no head rest. Unfortunate that the best salon has now turned into one of the worst in town. read more

Won't be going back there. Bulbs have not been replaced, beds do not get hot. Bulbs were burnt out and the ends of the bulbs were black. I complained and was told the Manager would be notified. Seriously! How can the girl working there clean the bed and not see the burnt bulbs. They need to close their business! I went 3 times to give it a chance and should be burnt because I never tan for 15 minutes when I start over for the season. I have no tan lines after 3 visits. Ridiculous!!!!! read more

Employees here are terrible. They'd rather chat to each other and their friends than clean and put people in beds. They'll put their friends in before customers who were there first. Tried to cancel (when I was told to call by the end of the month) and they've already charged me over a month in advance. If you're going to have rules, make sure the people working there know them so they don't tell customers incorrectly. I was told I would get a 'credit' which could only be used to their already overpriced lotions. My $20 would get turned into a $10 'credit.' Avoid and go to tropical tans right down the road. read more
