Towel and earplugs provided which was nice, there's no space for big luggages though (which I don't have so wasn't a problem) but beware if you do. Decent AC which is important during the summer! I was in a room pretty close to the kitchen and people started talking there at 7AM. Seriously?! Noise is very much not insulated at all. Friendly staff, pricing is in between hostels and hotels. In my special notes, I wrote that I have OCD and to please ensure that the room is as clean as it can possibly be made, to switch the hotel rep, replied by see you soon. At first the hotel manager seemed empathetic and offered to upgrade our room, but only for $300, and then a few minutes later offer a full refund if we could find somewhere else to stay. We did find somewhere else to stay however, that was after we said we would just stay and it was fine, because we struggled to find somewhere for a while (30 minutes) We went in the room, realized none of the outlets worked. There was only two outlets, and to give a clear photo the phone wasn't even plugged in because there was clearly no Outlet that it would be able to access. One of the two outlets is in the middle of the wall so when we plugged in our chargers, they just dangled down, The other, every single plug fell out of the wall immediately. We brought this to the hotel manager's attention to which his accommodation was to charge in the shared kitchen. While in the room, all we did was sit on the corner of the bed(One of the two) And then leave immediately when we realized we couldn't charge anything, when we left we found a new hotel that had last-minute openings, we came back. This is all under the span of like an hour and a half, when we come back, there is a different manager, I informed him of what the prior told us, to which he was pretty argumentative and told us it didn't matter because he didn't know anything about that and he wasn't there. I informed him that the outlet didn't even work, blah blah blah all of the above to which he only offered to upgrade our suite for free this time however, this is after we told him that we already paid for a different at the other hotel. They said it was the last one and we were afraid to have nowhere to stay! Keep in mind we're thinking that we are absolutely getting a refund from this hotel per what we were told, And actually, I just remembered when we first called and told them that the outlet didn't work we asked for just a different room to which he said there were no rooms available. However, later once we were at the desk, he offered us a suite in exchange for staying, I was adamant about, just getting my refund that I was promised because I moved with those actions in mind, he said up and down that he has no control over that and it would be all on Expedia if they want to respond with a refund, and he push me to contact them and ask them for a refund because he does not obtain money from our booking, to get contacted Expedia and they told me the complete opposite that the hotel is actually who decides if I get a refund while there he told us he would leave a note blah blah blah all of these things to honor this refund and then I received an email this morning that they denied it, the hotel . So personally wouldn't advise to stay here. They're all over the place management wise and it seems like a mess. Glad I didn't stay even if I had to be out of all my money, Which I guess I am because it was denied by the same manager that told me I could have a refund refund!! :)

The rooms, albeit small (its New York), were the most contemporary hotel rooms I've seen, complete ith granite bathroom fixtures and an LCD TV on the wall. The views were great, the noise at a minimum despite being in the heart if Midtown. The hotel ammenities were innumerable, and the great location in Midtown made it easy to embark on one of many walks around Manhattan. If you're coming to New York for a visit, you can't beat the Rockefeller Center in price, location or quality.

There is a small bar in the lobby and some grab and go bites as well. We opted for a bunk bed room. The room was really tiny, but that's what we expected staying in this area of town. If you're bringing a lot of luggage, this probably isn't the hotel for you. There was only a small cubby hole for a closet and with our two suitcases, we needed to use the small chaise lounge to host one of the suitcases with the other one sitting on the floor. Doing that, we had nowhere to sit in the room other than our beds. The ladder was a little interesting for my friend to navigate but she soon caught the hang of it. The bathroom shower was spacious, but again, little room in there to put any toiletry items. Even with the room limitations, I'd still stay here again due to the location. It was also very clean and since we're not high maintenance, it really provided everything we needed.

I travel about 80% of the time, and this is the smallest Kimpton room I've ever stayed in. Despite my IHG platinum status, and despite 7 upgraded room types being available at lower than prior pricing at 11:48p the evening of, "no upgrades were available". Upon arrival, I was promised both a pet amenity and a welcome amenity sent to the room - neither ever arrived. I was not even offered a single water bottle at check in or in the guest room. The curtains are unable to close and are actually nailed in place in an open position on the curtain track. Noise from any other room in the hall will easily ruin your sleep. I was awoken several times in the middle of the night by groups of guests who sounded like they were having a party just outside my door. In the daytime, the noise is from the housekeeping staff, as their phone often rings and they loudly sort the trash, recycling in laundry in three large bins that take up most of the hallway space. Despite only being open a few months, the carpet & other materials are already pilling & showing substantial wear. The bathroom door is basically a piece of cardboard so I would never consider staying with more than one person in the room. The door also runs into the sink & shower when you open it and it's hard to access the sink or shower at all with the door present. The streaming on the television does not work - it just says "unavailable" when you select any option. The hotel doesn't offer a text request or in-map messaging feature so you do need to pick up the phone & call to make any requests. The property doesn't offer the Kimpton-standard Atelier Bloem, they offer a brand called Cava that is reminiscent of the artificial, overpowering scent of extra-fragranced Fabuloso - each bottle is presented about 20-25% full. There is no restaurant or minibar - not even a bottle of water you can buy in the room. I found it interesting that the "amenity fee" benefit includes two bottles of water a day in-room. I never was offered any water at the desk or in the room. There is no literature or anything that mentions the timing or location of the wine hour or coffee in the morning. The property did not consider any of my pre-arrival requests or profile preferences. Will stick with the other hotel groups based on this experience - which I should have done from the start. In positives, the bellmen were helpful, and a gentleman opened the front door for me once. They do have a peloton in the gym.

Service is great and I enjoy that as a Bonvoy guest, I get a $10 comp each night.
