I've stayed here a couple of times and I honestly don't think I'll stay elsewhere when I visit NYC. I love this place so much. It's not fancy, but it's really perfect. Its got everything you need for a comfortable stay. The people who work here though are amazingly accommodating and just the nicest humans ever! Arrived at the hotel only to notice once they that I had accidentally booked a shared suite where I share a bathroom and a kitchen with the other hotel guest. In my special notes, I wrote that I have OCD and to please ensure that the room is as clean as it can possibly be made, to switch the hotel rep, replied by see you soon. At first the hotel manager seemed empathetic and offered to upgrade our room, but only for $300, and then a few minutes later offer a full refund if we could find somewhere else to stay. We did find somewhere else to stay however, that was after we said we would just stay and it was fine, because we struggled to find somewhere for a while (30 minutes) We went in the room, realized none of the outlets worked. There was only two outlets, and to give a clear photo the phone wasn't even plugged in because there was clearly no Outlet that it would be able to access. One of the two outlets is in the middle of the wall so when we plugged in our chargers, they just dangled down, The other, every single plug fell out of the wall immediately. We brought this to the hotel manager's attention to which his accommodation was to charge in the shared kitchen. While in the room, all we did was sit on the corner of the bed(One of the two) And then leave immediately when we realized we couldn't charge anything, when we left we found a new hotel that had last-minute openings, we came back. This is all under the span of like an hour and a half, when we come back, there is a different manager, I informed him of what the prior told us, to which he was pretty argumentative and told us it didn't matter because he didn't know anything about that and he wasn't there. I informed him that the outlet didn't even work, blah blah blah all of the above to which he only offered to upgrade our suite for free this time however, this is after we told him that we already paid for a different at the other hotel. They said it was the last one and we were afraid to have nowhere to stay! Keep in mind we're thinking that we are absolutely getting a refund from this hotel per what we were told, And actually, I just remembered when we first called and told them that the outlet didn't work we asked for just a different room to which he said there were no rooms available. However, later once we were at the desk, he offered us a suite in exchange for staying, I was adamant about, just getting my refund that I was promised because I moved with those actions in mind, he said up and down that he has no control over that and it would be all on Expedia if they want to respond with a refund, and he push me to contact them and ask them for a refund because he does not obtain money from our booking, to get contacted Expedia and they told me the complete opposite that the hotel is actually who decides if I get a refund while there he told us he would leave a note blah blah blah all of these things to honor this refund and then I received an email this morning that they denied it, the hotel . So personally wouldn't advise to stay here. They're all over the place management wise and it seems like a mess. Glad I didn't stay even if I had to be out of all my money, Which I guess I am because it was denied by the same manager that told me I could have a refund refund!! :) read more

I have stayed here for over 15 years. Affordable and spacious rooms with full kitchen. Location is great. Close to Little Italy and LES. So many restaurants to choose from. Okay this is an oldie but goodie. I stayed here in 2008 when it was still fresh. And as I look at the pictures and reviews now, I am glad that it hasn't lost its touch. These rooms used to be for the fabric workers so just imagine if you could hack it in Off Soho, you could hack it in NYC. I do believe it might be a bit dated now- yes, especially with Covid impact on businesses. But it is good to see some old institutions still standing and serving up $100/night rooms in some times. I didn't use the WiFi when I was there that much, took a class at Parsons, so I believe the reviews that it might be lacking. I am not sure those who said the room was small actually have been to NYC before and/or know of how the rooms even in major hotels are not huge- definitely not in SoHo and NoHo are you kidding me?!?! This is a budget option...BUDGET. So prepare yourself for the experience and revel that you are close to everything. read more

Wonderful; I'll never stay anywhere else when I need an affordable hotel in NYC (if I can help it). First of all, it's pretty clean; no bugs, and second, has great staff (shout out to Walid, Gabe and Ralph and the very sweet, impeccably thorough cleaning staff). As a solo female traveler, I felt totally safe. Neighborhood is one of the last remaining vestiges of old NYC besides some parts of the village, so enjoy that you are there for such a good price. My rate averaged around 160/night for the shared bathroom/shared kitchen economy suite in early November 2024, which is excellent for NYC, period. I'll be back, and I'll recommend them to friends and family. read more

Off Soho Suites is a 2.5 star place for me, but gonna round down because wasn't all too happy with the room. So we arrived and checked in and after doing the check in it was kinda weird to have the worker get a map of the premise and kinda draw out how exactly to get to our room. It was pretty simple enough though, don't know why though... Got through the first door with the hotel key card key, and then turned a left to get into our room (which is another separate key). The worker explained that if two of us were going out separately, we could drop the key off to the front desk and one of us could get it back when we returned. The room - tiny. It was difficult trying to get our luggage through the bed. It had a TV (which was really small) in between the two beds and also had an air conditioning unit that was situated to one of the beds. Literally next to the bed. The other bed got the closet, but it was definitely hard to get into unless you were sleeping in that bed. In the closet were the towels, which they only gave 2 shower towels and 2 really small towels. Not really enough. And this was in our one room. There was another room that someone else could be in (we didn't have anyone until our final evening). So the small room was the only "singular" space you had - bathroom + kitchen were communal. The bathroom was actually more spacious but working the shower was kind of a pain - getting the hot water to come on took 2-3 minutes minimum. The kitchen was small and had two random high chairs in there along with the refrigerator (which could store a lot). We didn't really use the kitchen as much.... Back to our room, if you don't keep the a/c on in the summer, you're gonna have a bad time. And I kinda did because I was in the bed away from the a/c and the breeze didn't really get through to my side of the bed (and you couldn't move it because the hot air dispersion was going out through the window). And you're gonna hear a lot of the noises from outside as well in the middle of the night. Wifi was really slow and spotty the first and second day of our stay, third day was decent. The hotel is really close to a LOT of places so location is a huge plus; you have Little Italy, Chinatown nearby. I actually made my way from Laudree and Eileen's as well, so all that is walkable from here. Service itself from the front desk was good, felt like they wanted to assist, opened the door for you on the way out, etc. Wish I could say the same for the maid service. tl;dr - good location, everything else is minimal. read more

Really good value. Stayed here this past weekend for the first time. I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was a large suite with a full kitchen, full-sized refrigerator, a living room area, and separate bedroom and bathroom. The bed was firm and comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Gabe did everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. This might be my new go-to place when I stay in Manhattan. Just a note: don't pay attention to any of these "Yelp Elite" turds bad-mouthing the place. They're probably paid shills for the competition. This place is nice. read more

Everything about our stay was great!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Allowed us to check into our room early when we were just planning to leave our luggage to go explore. The Economy room was perfect for what we needed. The room and bathroom was a little dated however it was clean and again perfect for what we needed which was just to sleep. Highly recommend them! I have not a lot of good things to say about Off Soho Suites. I stayed there like 15 years ago and remember it being a dump. It was spacious by NYC standards but was not very nice. Fast forward to a recent visit when my friend said they had redone their rooms, so I said sure let's try it. It's in a great location, so they have that going for them. It's renovated but it's still not that nice. It's an old building and there's a bunch of problems, like slow hot water, a floor that's seen centuries of dirty feet, and bedding that came from the dollar store. But the biggest problem with our visit was the construction right outside of our window. It woke us up at precisely 7am on the first morning of our vacation, ruining the day. Now I get it, this is NYC, there's a lot of noise. I've dealt with that before. But not construction of a new building right outside our window. Off Soho Suites gets a low rating for how poorly they dealt with the situation. We asked the front desk to move rooms and were told they were entirely sold out. That may be the case, but we are asking to move rooms. Why should we have to suffer the noise when other guests that haven't arrived don't? Only two rooms per floor had windows over the construction, so we could be put into 85% of the hotel rooms and be fine. But they wouldn't move us. They only offered a more expensive room for $200 more per night. Uhh, no. So every morning we were woken up at 7am, pretty much ruining a lot of enjoyment of my time in NYC. The icing on the cake was the last day another hotel front desk clerk telling us we should have told them about the problem and they would have moved us rooms. Are you friggin' kidding me? read more

Great location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. If you like to cook, there's a stove, and there's a nice lounge to relax in. The beer garden next door is also an excellent source of both food and drink. Wifi is dubious, would recommend either a hot spot or tethering to your phone. But given the reasonable price I think it still rates a five star. Some of the reviews mention noise from construction, whatever construction that was is no longer going on, so the street was quiet. It's Manhattan so they could be tearing down a building anywhere you go, for better or for worse. read more

We stayed here for a friend's birthday and was overcharged TWICE the amount that it was originally booked for. My friend booked 2 suites through their website which totaled to around $400 for 1 night. We got there before the friend who booked the hotel and the front desk TOOK ADVANTAGE of us not knowing the original booking fee and DOUBLE charged us so we ended up paying $800 for 2 absolutely AWFUL hotel rooms. Would not recommend even if we weren't overcharged. These rooms are worse than college dorm rooms. read more

Awesome price and great location! (Lower Manhattan, near Chinatown and Little Italy) I did a lot of research before my friends and I booked a 4 person suite at Off Soho, most of the bad reviews were coming from Yelp whereas everywhere else they have favorable reviews so what the heck, we took a chance and booked for 4 days and 3 nights. We arrived in NYC on early Friday morning and made our way to the hotel, it's within a 5 minute walking distance from the subway so that was a huge plus (Tip: $32 gets you a 7 day unlimited subway pass). The gentleman that checked us in advised us that he had a room ready and we were able to check in early and take our luggage upstairs to our room. Considering the price, we got an awesome deal for the amount of space we had, one piece of advice, don't set your expectations so high, you're not staying at a high class hotel, you get what you pay for and it's a great bang for your buck. We got a one bedroom suite with a small kitchen, living room, and separate bathroom which was great because you didn't have to walk into the bedroom to get get into the bathroom, the suite itself was clean and came with extra blankets and pillows. The suite for 4 guests comes with a queen sized bed and a queen sized futon which is located in the living room and also acts as a couch, I believe there is an additional charge for any additional guests. Their suite descriptions are pretty clear on their website, if you don't book a private suite, you share a bathroom and kitchen with an adjacent room. On another note, the hotel has central heating so they control the temperature, if you get too warm, you could crack open a window. The hotel has a gym, which we didn't go to and also dryer and washing machines available, you of course have to pay for those but if you don't have change, you're able to get some at the front. There is an elevator that you could take up to the higher floors if you don't want to take the stairs and there's a cute little lobby downstairs where you could hang out. We were also able to invite a friend over to come hang out with us without any problems. What we loved about the hotel is that there were so many restaurant and bar options within walking distance, even a german biergarten right next door! Since the hotel is located in lower Manhattan, it takes about a 20 minute subway ride to get to the main tourist attractions. Willy the night clerk was very friendly, the staff overall was just awesome! Whenever we had any questions as to where to go they gave us recommendations. I came to this hotel mainly out of convenience- my son had been the victim of a hit and run while he was visiting the city from Seattle. I was tired and worried- the staff at this hotel reminded me that there are kind, caring people in the world! I felt comfortable and cared for in this very unique and historic feeling hotel! The rooms were clean, lots of space for a city dwelling and the location was great for walking to just about anything you could imagine! I can't decide between rating this hotel as 2 or 3 stars so I'll give it a 2.5. However, this hotel has potential, because it does look like they are making renovations. Although it was a good value (I was able to book a one night stay with two twin beds and a futon for 4 people for $188), and the stay was pretty relaxed and quiet, their beds were terrible. I felt like I was sleeping on a piece of cardboard because the bed was so ridiculously hard. I also found that my neck was hurting because the pillow was hard as well. My friends that slept on the futon (clearly purchased from ikea) had no problems. Bed issues aside, the suite offered ample hard wood floor space, (enough for an air mattress), a fully equipped kitchen, and a clean and renovated bathroom. Everything in the hotel looked pretty nice except for the kitchen. The kitchen threw me off and looked so out of place because of how outdated it was. The next morning after our stay, they hotel made sure to give us a call to tell us that it was check-out time (I'm not sure if I was glad because it was a reminder to not get charged extra, or if I felt rushed because they were being pushy). Upon leaving the next morning, the hotel was nice enough to allow us to keep our bags there after our check-out time so that we could roam the streets of new york city, however the bags were placed in a sketchy looking storage closet on the basement floor. Looks aside, when we came back to retrieve the bags, there were no items missing and our bags were in good condition. All in all, an OK and very affordable stay, with the kitchen being a huge plus. read more

The package that we purchased included our flight with hotel and it was truly a great deal. We ended up staying four days and three nights. The area we were in was lively and cozy. Our room was perfect for the four of us. The room had a small kitchen, a sofa bed and a queen size bedroom with a closet. I'm so glad the bathroom came with a blowdryer. Huge plus. Our room was basically a one bedroom apartment. I really enjoyed the lobby/lounge room because it was small, intimate, cozy seats and a window looking out to the street. I spent some time reading at night and it was comforting looking out into the street and seeing all types of folks walking by. As far as I know, the staff was nice and accommodating. We all had a good time here and the prices are reasonable. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

This is a great place to stay if you are budget conscious. Now budget conscious in New York means about double the amount you expect to pay for a place to stay in most other places on this planet. My last stay was in October of 2007 for five days, and I like the place. They have WiFi in the lounge, flat screen televisions in the room, and a mediocre work out room that will get you by. The location is a great feature. It's not on some awesome street with great views, but it is walking distance from MTA, SoHo, Little Italy East Village, West Village and Chinatown. Whole Foods is only a few blocks away to stock the kitchen with. The rooms are big with plenty of space to move around in. It is clean. The guys that run the place are friendly and willing to help. I'll give them five starts for the fact that it's a deal for what you would get at other places in New York. My one warning is that sometimes people smoke in their rooms and you can smell it. Most of the other reviews about this hotel are from clueless Yelpers that have no style, taste or common sense. Yes Crystal, Teresa, and Christine, with your I stayed there 8 years ago and I'm giving this place 5 stars...I'm talking about you. The only thing I'm in agreement with the others on is the value, if you're looking for a clean place to stay and you have very little money, then this may be you're best bet...but I wouldn't pay more than $125/night for this place. There were a few positives, but overall the place is a disaster and I would never stay here again. This place is really just a converted apartment building. Calling them suites is a joke. These are anti-suites. The rooms offer nothing in the way of comfort or luxury. Whoever owns and manages this place is really trying to capitalize on the location and spend as little money as possible. The hotel looks like it was given an Ikea-style modern remodel some years ago and received some positive travel industry reviews (they have travel review placards and stickers all over the front entrance) and is trying to live off that glory while spending as little as possible in upkeep and basics like soap (crappy motel soap), tissues (there were none) and the cheapest, single ply toilet paper money can buy. THE GOOD: Location. It's several blocks to the subway and lots of great Nolita and Soho restaurants and bars and a Whole Foods. Cleanliness: The common areas and room was clean and odorless. Kitchen: There's a kitchen if you want to cook. THE BAD: Run Down and Poorly Maintained: The room was in desperate need of a complete remodel. The furniture was thrashed, corners of the cheap coffee table gouged and chunks of veneer ripped away. Stains and rips in the black leather couch. Nail holes in the walls and shoddily rehung wall art. Gouges and scrapes in the walls from god knows what. Stains on the old, old blankets. Lumpy old mattress. cheap linens. White paint splatters on black furniture in the bedroom and living room. Hardwood floors were refinished by amateurs. The heater worked intermittently and didn't adequately heat the room. Internet/Wifi: Couldn't connect from my room because of a weak signal and no hard wire available. In general, the room just feels cold, uninviting, and uncomfortable. It's pretty simple, the owners and management need to take hospitality service 101 classes and hire a decorator to redo the rooms. Until then, stay away from this poor excuse for an all suites hotel. read more

I feel mix about this place. We got a room with two beds. As is any room in NYC, it is small. But it was clean and does have closet space. You get a tiny flat screen for your viewing pleasure. Whether I didn't know or missed it, I was under the impression our room was going to have a separate bathroom and living room. I know...I know...what was I thinking when it was "only" $205/night. Turns out, it has a communal bathroom and kitchen. There was no conflict with the bathroom schedule with zee Germans/2 girls/2 guys that stayed in the other room. So it felt like our own bathroom. Decent enough bathroom in gray tile. But my main qualm is the hot water. You have to let the hot water in the tub run a good 5+ minutes for it to be warm. Then as you shower the temperature fluctuates, one moment scolding hot, the next, cold. Kitchen with fridge and microwave seem decent, even if we didn't used it. Amenties was bare bones. No breakfast or computer for guest usage. Wi-Fi was spotty. Small towels for your shower. Iron was not working. But has an in room safe. I feel conflicted about this place. It has a lot of shortcomings. But rates are lower than many places and you just need 4 walls, a bed, and a clean bathroom. Plus it's in a great location in the middle of LES, Chinatown, SoHo, etc. It's located on a block on Rivington that has that neighborhood feel to it. If you can, I stay at Hotel East Houston which is only a few blocks away. Overall, I would look elsewhere first and save this as a last resort. read more

Spent Thanksgiving here & got to stay in a room with a kitchen. Lots more space than a typical hotel room in the city and the room I was in typically goes for far more per night than I paid for it. Huge bed, it had a sofa, that kitchen, hardwood floors, charges for phone calls but most of us have cell phones these days so no big issue there. Staff was friendly & the housekeeping lady was nice though she didn't know English so well. As for cookware, make sure you bring a pan to heat bread, a potato peeler if you need one and some paper towels since I didn't see those & all would have been helpful to me. Overall, however you will be in great shape if you can afford the rate and want to use the kitchen. They had a REAL refrigerator/freezer instead of a mere mini-fridge, a microwave, stove and oven (getting a flame on the stove was tricky, though a kind hotel employee took care of it for us; he said there was a magic touch to it), pots, a pan, utensils, plates and glasses. Oh, and the lobby is gorgeous & intimate. The only real downside here is their Wi-Fi is not as good & we couldn't get it in our room. We also had to move some in the lobby to get on to the network. We spoke to someone there about this & he assured us that they were working on getting Wi-Fi accessibility in the rooms. If the promise of this happening in the next year comes true, I'd certainly come back here to stay. I intended to tell my family about this since maybe they could also get a good Expedia deal for a room like mine (the guy who checked us in even told us we'd gotten a very good rate for the room). read more

Front desk people were extremely nice and helped us with whatever questions we had. At first I was skeptical when my sister booked us a room here and said we had to share a bathroom, luckily no one booked the other half of our suite ;) it was well worth the price because we are in NYC, who's REALLY sleeping anyway? Granted, I haven't stayed here in a few years, but used to whenever I visited New York, and even lived here for lengths of time inbetween finding an apt. And I gotta say, I absolutely loved my time here. Great hotel, especially for the price. Comfortable bed (firm), solid digs, good folks at the front desk, EXCELLENT location, and you're not gonna find any one of those aforementioned things (let alone all of them) for this price somewhere else. Honestly, without the Off-SoHo Suites, I'm not sure I would've been able to move to New York a few years ago -- the location allowed me to fall in love with the city, and the price allowed me to get on my feet prior to settling in at an apt. This place was my training wheels for living in NYC. Note: My rating of five stars is for the overall experience and factors in some sentimentality. I wouldn't say this is a "five star hotel" by any means, but it's far from a dump, and in terms of a budget hotel in a great neighborhood with solid amenities.... well, there aren't enough stars for this places when you factor all of that in. read more

This is my 3rd review for Off Soho. I continue to love this place. Went in April with both my daughters plus one of their friends. We requested 4th floor or above and got it, no problem. Temperature control (April weather is iffy and very changeable) was easy to adjust and worked fine. Desk staff were friendly and helpful, as always. One perk I haven't mentioned before is the on-site laundry. This is great for me, as my kids and I can take a lot fewer clothes and just wash them, making luggage lighter and leaving room for things we want to buy. Two washers, two dryers, machine that sells soap. Bring quarters. LOTS cheaper than sending any laundry out. A relatively new development is their security staff. I went out after dark to run to the convenience store on the corner and was approached by a man wanting money. Before he could even really get started, a large fellow detached himself from the shadows of a building next door and instructed the gentleman not to "bother his customers." Gentleman took off without another peep. Security guard apologized for my being bothered and was very friendly, had some good restaurant suggestions :) Note: I did go inside after my trip to the store and ask the desk clerk about the security guard. He confirmed he is hired by the hotel and works from sundown to sunup every night. Comforting to know! Anyway, they're still not super fancy here. No high end designer bath stuff. The Wi-Fi is still a little weak, but I didn't use my computer anyway, and texts went out on my phone just fine. Wi-Fi is quite good downstairs in the lobby, which has a TV, very comfy chairs, a restroom, and an ATM, so it's not a bad place to sit if you DO need to do something Wi-Fi-ish. Still very clean, and cleaning staff do come in and tidy every day, not every couple days like some hotels. If you want clean, comfortable, practical, and safe, as well as a little unconventional and bigger than most places, this is your spot. read more

I have stayed at the Off Soho Suites on multiple occassions and recommend it to any out of town relatives. This is an apartment-style hotel which features full kitches in each unit, a good location in lower Manhattan, excellent friendly service, and is overall a good value for the price paid. As I mentioned, the location is good, but not exactly central to ALL of the major tourist attractions. However, this is not an issue as NYC is well covered by public transport AND a new bike sharing system called CitiBike which has a pick up location right across the street from the hotel. No issues getting around here! My unit on my most recent stay was #205, a 1 bedroom apartment with a large bathroom (full tub), decent sized bed room and "cozy" but comfortable living room. Of course, this is not a luxury hotel but they don't claim to be. They are a great alternative to cramped hotel rooms of the major chains. Europeans espescially will feel right at home here. Definitely check out this hotel on your next New York adventure. read more

Very weak wifi. Wifi connection to my iPhone and Android phone is nonexistent. Connection to my PC and Mac was slow. It was difficult to work from the hotel. The staff asked me to tilt my laptop in certain angle to get the signal (how funny). I moved my laptop to the room, dining area, bathroom, and kitchen, and I got the same weak signal. The hair dryer was so small. It will take you a long long time if you have long hair. There was no soft pillows. It comes with a kitchen. However, there were plenty of cheap and delicious restaurants/food stands in the neighborhood. I really didn't need the kitchen. The TV was very small, 13 inch maybe? It's more like a small screen. The couch and the TV were set up in a weird way. I had to turn my head 90 degree to watch the TV. So I didn't watch the TV at all. This place is not LGBT friendly. The staff acted like it was the first same sex couple that he has ever heard of in NYC. read more

Well located suites near Chinatown, Soho, Little Italy, Broadway Ave. and subway stations. The prices are good deal for this zone in a restored apartments building. The rooms are comfortable enough to accomodate 4-5 people at once (you can request extra beds if needed). One of the downsides is the crappy free internet connection they have. There is a paid option, but I don't recommend it as there are near Starbucks and stores with free wi-fi. Be sure to talk to Gabe if he is at the desk! He is the most friendly of the clerks and can give you good information about near businesses or restaurants. read more

I am in the hotel right now and felt compelled to YELP about how perfect this place is. Located in a great area, a very big room for the money ( which is had to find ANYWHERE in NYC ) great staff and just all around european feel. I am here on business but have some time to sightsee. When I asked how to get to Peter Luger ( the best steak house in the US ) he suggested walking across the Brooklyn Bridge which is right around the corner my kind of thing! I come to NYC for work often and every time Im here I eat and walk a lot. So this location is so great for both of those things. SO ....I cannot stress the all around good feeling I get from this place and the people who work here. Don't miss this gem. Give it a shot! read more

I booked this suite so I could host some friends for my birthday celebration. The suite was good for my purposes to host my friends in the middle of a busy part of town. The suite is a great location with a bunch of restaurants, bars and lounges with a lot to do. I was disappointed upon arrival because the website makes the room seem deceivingly big, updated and fancy. The kitchen was outdated and run down. The pull ouch couch seemed quite old and used. The staff told me that my suite I got was one of the biggest, and I was shocked because of how small it was. The location and the price of the suite it was makes it the most attractive. I honestly didn't have a problem with the condition of the room besides the fact that it was different than what was advertised. read more

INFESTATION! What a lovely European-style hotel to sleep in and wake up to a BIBLICAL SWARM OF WHITEFLIES infesting the room from the conked-out window air conditioner. They were EVERYWHERE. It was BY FAR the worst hotel experience of my life. And they deny anything was wrong! Who knows the number of health violations this hotel is hiding. I stayed here this past weekend for a bachelorette party. There were 5 of us so this was one of the few places in NYC that allowed 5 in the room that was affordable. The room had a bedroom with a queen bed, a queen bed in the living room and we had a rollaway bed. There was a small kitchen and bathroom. It is not super fancy at all but it is exactly what we were looking for. The staff was amazing, so friendly and attentive, we really felt right at home and very safe there the whole weekend. We were pretty noisy so I can't speak to the negative reviews regarding noise, but it was a positive for us that we were able to be noisy. It is walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars in the Lower East Side and very centrally located where it is inexpensive to take a taxi to other parts of the city. My only complaint is that the all of the plugs in the walls were very loose probably because they were old. Our blowdryers all kept falling out of the wall while we used them. Very annoying! All in all, i would definitely return to Off Soho Suites. Thank you for a great stay. read more

Beds were rock hard, air conditions were easily 15-20 years old, super loud and had greasy dust in the vents. Pictures don't reflect the shabbiness of the rooms.. It looks like they hodge podge cobbled these rooms together from craigslist crap. I almost expect to find bedbugs in my suitcase. Don't let these guys charge you a cent over 250 if you can't find better accommodations nearby. Upside, it's conveniently located, however, I definitely would not go back. read more

I want to give it 2 stars, because I thought that for a 4 night stay it was to expensive for what it is. But the place is nice , with a kitchen (limited dishes, no utensils, bring your own soap and sponge) and furniture/decor (high pub style table and chairs, ikea style couch that folds out into uncomfortable "queen size" (their words) bed). I would opt for a hostel or other place because 1) budget 2) I would rather eat out at all the great cheap places in New York rather than stay inside and wash dishes 3) Their room service (that's part of the price right?) is not so great (limited towel service). I'm just not sold on the place. Do agree it's a great location. read more

After a lot of searching for a place to stay in Manhattan that wouldn't break the bank, we discovered this little gem. It's nothing fancy, just a clean, spacious suite that costs less than most single (and small) rooms in NYC. Plus it's right in the middle of just about everything (or just a couple of subway stops away). Don't waste your money staying in Times Square or wherever. Stay in SoHo, where all the cool kids stay. read more

I can't believe some of you people are hating on this hotel! I have stayed here 4 times and you really feel like you are a New Yorker when you stay here. You feel like you are staying in your own clean uncluttered apartment. You have a full bathroom, full kitchen, full bedroom and living room with TV. If you are looking for a place with just 2 beds and a TV squished in the middle of a small room...the have at it, because this place has space. Whole Foods, parks, restaurants, bars and subways are within easy drunkin steps. Good shit. read more

Came to NYC to celebrate my boyfriends birthday; he booked our room online not knowing that "shared" meant sharing a restroom&kitchen with another room(couple). No where online/during booking did it explain ANY conditions of "shared/stand alone." It wasn't until we checked-in that we found this out & we were upset by the fact that it wasn't explained during booking. The guy @ the front desk "offered" to upgrade our room to a suite BUT for the original price which helped us out zero! Got to our room & it was tiny..along with the beds. Needless to say, we'll never book here again when visiting NYC. read more
