Had a second opinion and nothing was wrong. Dr. Houser's office staff has also changed and front staff are not as friendly. I recently felt Dr. Houser was bothered by doing my dental checks. It's a shame that his practice has changed and not for the best. Thankful I listened to my gut and had a second opinion.

They refused to do their job, lying to my face and claiming that standard Coordination of Benefits (COB) is "insurance fraud."Because of her absolute incompetence and refusal to file the claims properly, I was slapped with a fraudulent $3,000 bill out of pocket. I was sick patient so pay full price because your staff is too lazy or untrained to process secondary insurance is a direct violation of your in-network insurance contracts. It is also a massive ethical breach bordering on patient abandonment while I was in physical distress. I have already contacted the corporate fraud departments of both insurance providers regarding your refusal to file, and a formal complaint is being submitted to the State Dental Board.If you have dual insurance, stay far away from this place. Although this may be possible for some, in my case, there is severe bone loss making this approach very high risk. In spite of he talking directly to other specialists I found who recommended a more conservative approach, he still insisted on on what he wanted. In addition, his approach would cost me $60K compared to the conservative approach of $20K. A friend of mine went their recently because his kid chipped a tooth. Dr. Pollack wanted $5K and was extremely invasive! My friend went to another dentist and it cost about $500 and you can't even tell it was chipped.

He and his team have helped me with everything from general maintenance to root canals to implants. More recently, they solved a severe wear problem caused by poor work done 15+ years ago. I decided to replace all of my lowers (at the same time) in order to open my bite and fix the wear problem. It was a huge procedure yet I was not at all nervous or apprehensive once the time came to do the actual work. Planning was meticulous with multiple scans, wax models and coordination with fabrication lab. It is such a relief to have full trust in a dentist, something I have not experienced in the past. Assistant Rona made me excellent temporaries; four sections that felt great and enabled normal eating while waiting on permanents. Next, my six front uppers were replaced and that one piece temporary was amazing! I could eat apples whole if I wanted to. It is so nice to have dependable temps especially when so many teeth are being worked on at the same time. The office staff works hard to get as much coverage from insurance as possible which is not an easy feat! Estimates are detailed and out of pocket cost is always known up front. Scheduling is easy and location is convenient. Recent renovations inside the office and treatment rooms have made the space more comfortable and it is always clean and organized. Overall, I appreciate Dr. Chehade's attention to detail and communication with staff during procedures to get things right. It is clear he takes pride in his work. Sometimes things take longer than planned but the quality of work is always the first priority. They said they were very invasive with my teeth and didn't need to do feelings on a lot of them and now I'm paying the consequences of going to Gainesville dental associates.
