No sense rushing into these things? lol Tim's is a friendly, local's pub that offers excellent customer service - Jessi - single handedly managed the bar, waited tables, bussed tables, etc. all with a smile! Tim's offers dining and gaming in a large, clean environment. There are a few pool tables, 2 shuffleboards, and electronic darts. History comes alive as you peruse old black-and-white photos that adorn the rich wood paneled walls. Mr. Wonderful ordered a burger and jojos (which could have been crisper), and I had a BLT and onion rings, very good. Our friends ordered cheeseburgers and fries and enjoyed their meals. 100% dive bar. Love it. Filled with locals. Servers know people by name. Offered a spot for a (I'm pretty sure) homeless to sit at bar and have a glass of water. I saw the reviews for this place. So many negative comments about the service, but come on people, it's a local dive bar AND actually the service was excellent. I don't like overly attentive servers in places like this. You gotta soak up the whole scene and ambiance. If you're looking for Michelin star service, go to a Michelin star restaurant! Both bartenders/servers were great. I did not have to wait for drink refills or my order to be taken. Music is fine- radio mix. A lot of pool players. Everyone was respectful and friendly. I had three ambers on draft and an order of wings n Jo's . Delicious!!! Wings were like the best fried chicken I've had in a long time- not spicy. The Jo's are fantastic potatoes perfectly cooked. The bill was less than $18. Oh and THE BEST part...they only take cash!!! Listen, I did not know this so when I sat ate bar and started drinking my first Amber, I started noticing all the patrons were paying in cash and I looked for a cc machine- none. They do have an ATM but I didn't have an ATM card so I said id have to go back to my place and grab cash. I asked if I needed to leave my drivers license or anything as a guarantee, but the bartender said she knew I'd come back. If you are not a local and want to get treated terribly then go. We went there a couple months visiting from out of town. Ordered beers , got cut off after 4 BEERS. The couple next to us were ordering shots and mix drinks. Service was very slow but we were visiting with the couple next to us, no problem. Fast forward 6 weeks thought we would try it again. Walked in. Bar tender looked at us didn't acknowledge us, smile. We waited patiently. A local came up to bar next to me and bartender got her a drink and asked if her if it went on her tab. She gets to us (not friendly) we ordered 2 beers and asked when the kitchen closed and asked if we could run a tab. Was informed she doesn't do tabs. A bit later I asked if I could get some pull tabs, "nope not since it's pool night." We definitely will not be trying it a 3rd time. We really wanted to like it as it is our type of bar. As far as dive bars go, this place is 5 stars. Patrons are generally friendly, there is pool, shuffleboard, and darts. Drinks are cheap and not watered down and you got a good selection of bar food at a great price. Have an awesome back patio woth covered seating for rainy days. Regarding some of the negative feedback I see others posted, here's my two cents: Food a service can be a little slow when it's busier or they are switching shifts, but they will generally let you know if that's the case. If you act like an entitled asshole, you'll probably be treated like one. If you recognize that the bartender is working as fast as they can during busy times (managing the bar and the grill), they will get to you. I think the longest I've ever had to wait is about 3 minutes for a drink. It is a cash only. I get it, I don't normally carry cash either, but I'll take a cheap drink over a marked up drink to cover credit card processing fees, and there is an ATM on site. Some thoughts/feedback for the owners: Would love to see you utilize then back patio more, especially in the summer. It'd be awesome if you'd consider hosting a dog and brew once a month where patrons could bring their four legged friends for a drink in the back area. Have you thought about karaoke? I went there with three of my friends on Tuesday for lunch . We will never go back during the week when Tina is working. We asked her for some napkins 10 times she finally brought two napkins for four of us then she brings a plastic bottle of ketchup with the top cut off and I said do we have to share a bottle of ketchup and she said yes because of covid . The bartender on Thursday night, April 19, 2018, was ignorant and rude as hell. She was cut and unwelcoming. I wanted a Manhattan. I'm used to telling people weekdays in it. I'm not used to being treated like dirt. I'm not impressed with this bartender. Most of them I've appreciated. They've at least treated me with a modicum of respect and friendliness.
