Pickup can be as quick as same day, and if they have it in a different store, it seems to take 2-3 days. Their website has all their products and availability -- their selection was surprisingly huge. Their online ordering system is super solid! I was very impressed. There were a couple of small things that left me scratching my head (like it wasn't clear that if you buy one thing in-store and one thing that has to be moved if you can pick up the first thing early), but not a big deal. The man who worked on my grandson's bike was skilled and knowledgeable. We identified problems, talked over various ways of addressing them, and agreed on a coherent plan. 2. I felt the cost was very reasonable. We addressed 3 separate issues with the bike for $100. 3. The service was quick! I brought the bike in at 11AM and got a call at ~4pm the same day that the work was completed. I picked up the bike the next morning when the shop opened. 4. The man who worked on our bike and the other staff in the store were all polite and friendly. They were easy to work with and things flowed easily.

I first heard about Sharing Wheels when I volunteered for Christmas House, which gives out toys to…read morelow-income families for the holidays. Sharing Wheels partners up and donates a bunch of refurbished bicycles to them. If that's not awesome enough, read on. I came in because my bike chain was out of alignment and brake cables needed to be replaced. The staff member, Jon, was super friendly and took it on immediately like a live YouTube session just for me -- even though he did first say, "This is really easy; are you sure you don't want to just buy the parts and do it yourself?" "Nah, do it for me... but thanks for not upselling me when you had the chance." I can now ride my bike again! Better yet, while my snooty cyclist friend told me not to put any money into my old a$$ bike, Jon came from the mindset that Sharing Wheels propagates: Don't add to the landfill if you can still ride the bike! He even complimented my bike: "Your friend is right -- this bike is old and you would do better selling it for parts than ever selling it outright, but it's in great condition and has excellent components, so enjoy it!"
