At this point in time, Tim's Bike Shop is mainly geared for mountain bikes, but Jay the owner says they're looking to incorporate road a little more. With a road biking event in 5 days, I had to get my brakes checked and wheels trued at a shop close to work. I called at noon and Jay said he was backed up for more than a week. Tim's is a fantastic local bike shop. When I was searching for a mountain bike last year, I visited stores all over the Seattle area. I found Tim's by accident. They sell the amazing Kona bikes. I'm a very tall person, so in general, I don't fit on most bikes very well. They were patient and allowed me to ride a number of bikes to determine not only the best frame size, but geometry. They were exceptionally fair with the price of my bike. They'd provided such good customer service that I returned to the store 2 months later and purchased 3 more bikes for my kids. Jay, Stretch, and the other guys that own/work at Tim's Bike Shop are always helpful and friendly offering good advice. I was just in over the weekend for some new tires on my road bike. Stretch was the first to help getting tire options down off the racks for me to check out - all viable options. Jay, after helping another customer, offered his advice on which tire to get - I was looking for a puncture resistant long wearing tire for commuting - he pointed me toward a tire that was not the most expensive, but would suit my needs better than another tire. I appreciate the time they take to get what you need rather than trying to up-sell. Also, I have had my bikes in his shop on several occasions for maintenance and repair - they're always fast and accurate. Highly recommended. read more

This is really a great bike shop with knowledgable people that aren't trying to extract as much money from your wallet as possible. I've been very disappointed how expensive and rather rude Bicycle Centers of Everett is, and so Tim's is a breath of fresh air. read more

We were traveling from Vancouver, BC, Canada to Palo Alto, CA. Our daughter purchased a used bike carrier for the car and we stopped at Tim's shop because we were having issues. He had a $130 bike carrier for sale and I was going to replace the used one. He stopped me and said that we should see if he could determine the issue with the used one. Less than 20 minutes later, he had us on our way. Nothing wrong with the used one. He didn't even make a sale and he knew we were passing through. I can only say to anyone who reads this review - go and do business with Tim. He is exactly why we need individual business owners. He was so awesome to strangers. Imagine if you were a regular!! These guys are great! I've brought 3 different bikes in for various add-ons and repairs - even put together a nice Bridgestone RB-1 I bought on Ebay. Great service, very knowledgeable, good listening and considerate. But that's nothing like the story that follows: Before the Bridgestone I bought a older Schwinn Road Bike (Circuit) and I took it to them to tune it up and add some brake levers. Fast, Reliable service. Two days after I got it back, the bike was stolen. I went by and told them and they made some good suggestions. Two weeks later, I'm standing in line at the grocery store and Jay, the owner, is there and motions to me. He says "I just called you. I got your bike." What? Turns out he was driving down the road and saw someone riding the bike (it had some unique features that made it easy to spot). He pulled in front of the guy, got out of his truck and confronted him. The guy handed the bike over. Unbelievable! Needless to say, I'm a Tim's bike customer for life! read more
