I try to use family owned and operated businesses even if i pay extra...i selected westra to buy snowboard clothes for my son...i asked for assistance and picked items out and tried on but each time i would end up with a different salesperson.....was sold some very expensive items and was told they were the best....i took him boarding and his pants fit horribly when boarding.....i wanted to exchange the pants and was assisted by an older lady who was defensive and had a nasty response...i am 67 and was calm and respectful....tried to ask a question and was cut off......their customer support was the worst I have experienced.....i was waiting to see how they treated me to buy him boots/ bindings and board....and after her disgraceful reaction to my questions I went immediately to EVO sports and was treated so well......AVOID Westra...I should give 0 stars read more

Wish I would have read these reviews before I drove 45 minutes to rent gear here. The hours of operation say they open at 10:00 on Mondays. I showed up at 11:00 and the lights are off and doors are locked. I spoke with a lady on the phone yesterday saying I would be down today and she didn't mention they would be closed. Called to get cost to get my snowboard waxed. Told me $25. Went to the shop and they told me $25 for wax, extra $5 for edging. I went for the extra. Went to pick it up and they charged me $45. When I complained the lady kept saying $30 is for one ski. AVOID THIS PLACE! Either derelicts or con artists. read more

This store sucks! ..coming from Colorado and growing up with the most amazing retailers on the planet coming into Washington state has been a pretty huge disappointment for good service in the snowboard world..from the drunk girl that met me at the door basically like a used car salesman breathing down my neck with her stank ass beer breath. I simply needed a little bit of hot air to mold my new boots and they wanted to charge me 25 bucks or some shit like that, go figure it is a couple minutes before 6 o'clock when they close today and you think that their punk asses would pick up the telephone! I simply wanted to find out how much a board wax would be, I'm sure it's probably as ridiculous as the hot air charge they asked for.... Bought our daughter used skis here and on separate occasion set up my wife with a pair of rental skis. Was helped by Rob both times. Super helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Westra is the ideal family run ski (and some tennis) shop that is extremely welcoming and provides great service without the arrogance of a lot of mom and pop shops. read more

Super friendly family run shop. Been in a few times for wax and tune. I ordered some new poles from them, and the manufacturer shipped the wrong color (turns out they were out of the color I wanted for the year). Westra gave me constant updates throughout the process and kept me up-to-date on my long pole developments. A total pleasure to deal with. read more

Excellent customer service. The tall guy who helped us to choose correct boots and skies, was actually a ski instructor. He knows and loves skiing and was great with our 6 years old. I also talked to a manager or a supervisor, her name was Frances (forgive me if I spell it wrong), she is a lady of her word. She promised good weekly rate and kept her promise despite crazy around Christmas time. Check-in and -out time was very convenient, the business operates like a Swiss watch. I have been buying gear from these folks since they were with Mt. Pilchuck. They carry quality gear that you will not find in the big box stores. They have a lot more knowledge than those places as well. I don't trust any other shop to do my tunes. The folks here are very involved with the sport and have passion for it! read more

It's wonderful having a real, local snowboard shop in Everett. My wife bought a pair of snowboard boots for 40% off (last year's model), which a store in the mall had the same boots for full price. I can't speak to the pricing of other products but, we feel we got a great deal, and customer service was up there with Stevens Pass Snowboard Shop. read more

They carry top line quality skis and boots, boards and bindings with fashion trend apparel. I really like this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were reasonable about emergencies that come up regarding returning rentals. Their prices are also reasonable. I had to use a different rental shop for my daughter's skis and had a terrible experience. I will be going back to Westra Sports. read more
