Needed a place for lunchas we crossed the border into Canada and this was right along the way and got decent reviews so we thought we would check it out. Loved the building it was in, a ton of character and charm. The menu was pretty big but we went for the fish and chips and chicken nugget poutine. The portions are HUGE. One portion is good for at least 2 people, probably 3 or 4. The curly fries were good but the fish was a little greasy. The poutine was okay. The gravy wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped. On a side note, the cook was this semi grumpy and gruff but I felt like that was part of the charm. Just a warning. All in all, it was fine but not somewhere I'd seek out. read more

We lived in Prince Rupert, "The Halibut Capitol of the World", for 21 years. The halibut from Tim's is just as fresh as the halibut from restaurants right on the water in Prince Rupert. Their cod is just as good and if you're lucky enough to be there when it's chicken dinner or wings night, you'll find that it's terrific as well. Their French fries are served in prodigious quantities and are made from fresh cut potatoes. Richard and Winter are wonderful people to talk with and the service they provide is definitely top shelf. If it gave me the option for more stars than five, Tim's would get an even higher rating. Don't drive by, don't miss out. read more

Clam chowder was great .. cod was good but seemed to have more breading than fish so would recommend to pay a lil more for the halibut .. fries were ok.. slaw was yummy.. price reasonable;) read more

Orders wrong x 3. Then when finally right, asked for cocktail sauce for my shrimp, they didn't have any. Nothing like telling people you have no cocktail sauce during order. Then lady tells me she doesn't know how to refund my money on machine. I asked to just get cash back. Fries cold n greasy. Husband's order was to be pan fish, not fried. Came fried. Horrible day! People were having to clear and clean own tables. Date visited Tuesday, July 2. They need to hire people and train them. Food quality very LOW this visit. Won't be going again. read more

Stopped here July 2020 as the reviews were so great on Yelp. Very small place but love the outdoor seating. We ordered inside at the counter and our food was brought to our table. We had fish n chips and our son had poutine. It was fantastic and the portions were huge! The fries were fantastic... I had to stop eating them before I exploded from chip coma!!! Stopped by in June on my road trip from California. The fish and chips were amazing and while waiting I had a wonderful conversation with a retired welder. It was hard to come back to California and have fish and chips because they were not as good as at Tim's. Absolutely adored the town of Creston as well. Love you, Canada. read more

Quote possibly the most expensive average fish and chips I've ever had. Cod was so so Batter was OK. Fries were good. No rush to get back there. If price was better I could accept it. Rather sit inside Jimmy's and have a good atmosphere and have the same average fish and chips. read more

The fish batter is heavy with grease. But the fish it's self is always fresh tasting. I don't care for the homemade fries. They almost don't seem cooked enough, but my husband likes them. I love love the coleslaw. Because of the heavy oil taste in the fish, we will not eat there often. Maybe once a year. read more

How can you NOT stop by this cute little place. Side of the highway on my back past it, I made a hard left.... right into the parking lot! Cute restaurant. Kinda small, but seating is outside as well. Ice cream walk up on the side and you go inside for the fish! I had a one piece halibut which was flaky and perfectly cooked. Not overly greasy either! Someone really put some thought into this cute little place. It's store front is inviting, the place is clean and the servers are very friendly. My wife and I split a two piece cod dish and there was more than enough and best of all it was mighty tasty. Well worth a stop if you love fish and chips. read more

Not following Covid19 safety guidelines what so ever. So many people in an overcrowded building. Nobody practicing 6 feet apart. No masks, no gloves. No sanitizer available. We were a party of 4. Richard the manager was great and very helpful. The food was excellent. We had the clam chowder which was excellent but not New England style. The taste was very good. First of all. The food portions were big...The fish'n chips need a little more flavor. You get a lot of fries. The cook and owner I guess was cool. 1 employee is slow. Left the dirty plates on my table for minutes and cleaning of the table. We had to ask for cleaning. It should of bin 4 stars. But I give it 5 for good hospitality. Plus the clam chowder was big. Wings are Huuuuuuuuge! Every Thursday and Friday they are 97c. Had the halibut & chips. It was deep fried goodness in a batter with a side of chips aka french fries. Was a down home type atmosphere, friendly staff and fun, good food. Started up conversation with some other patrons while here over the wings. The portions are huge, so if that is what is important, you will be happy. Unfortunately the batter is very bland and does not have much taste. I had the cod and one of my pieces were way under cooked. By that point I was grossed out and over the whole experience.
