The two technicians showed up on time yesterday (promised 9-10 AM) after sending an "on our way" text). They recommended using the pleated filters instead of the blue fiberglass variety. He had a 20"x25" pleated filter in the truck that was a little long for our space. So, he took a pair of shears, chopped off just enough, and used the cardboard form cleared of material to put a border back on! Voila! Another service was cleaning the fins (?) on the outdoor compressor. After turning off the power outside, he used a hose to flush out the accumulated detritus in the unit. Our system is back to working great again! I had a chance to speak with one of the brother/owners, Paul, this evening, to share my feedback on the service call. Sounds like a very nice guy. We needed to upgrade our entire HVAC system due to rising energy costs. We had a furnace on propane…read moreand the cost to use it is almost prohibitive.The hubby is a professional commercial HVAC control's technician and did a lot of research and contacted Harter Electric. They came out for for a quote and check what we needed. When the consult and quote was done, within 2 days we were scheduled and installation began. The crew was professional and quick with the work. Now, we have a system that is so much more comfortable and keeps all rooms at a constant temperature. Five rooms, 5 room systems and 2 outside units with all electrical and ductwork was done in 1 1/2 days. The cool part of the system is it's controlled by remote, and there's one in each room, but if one is lost, they work on the rest, Awesome thing about this system, each room can be set to heat, cool and automatic control. You set the temp you want (all function controlled by remote control) and how powerful you want the fan, you can set it to sweep back and forth etc... One thing I do want to say that I was able to dictate the placement of the unit in our bedroom. Although it may have been easier for the crew to place the unit a wall closer to the outside unit, I requested another wall so I did not have to move family pictures and special things. The owner told me, that I had to live with it, so they would do what I wanted. I'm disabled and having thing's comfortable isn't always easy. The cost of this system is worth every penny. The speed of process from time of initial contact to completion was about a week. Thanks to the crew who came out and made our home more comfortable. We got it just in time for a really cold, snowy and windy storm and all the rooms were so comfy. They are a professional, knowledgeable, and polite crew.

Please be warned of a fraudulent plumber and their bad business practices, in which they try take…read moreadvantage of a younger home owner. We called in to arrange to have a salt water softener disconnected and run new hot/cold likes to connect a new sink in the area where the salt system was located....$882 dollars later they did what they wanted not what we wanted. We were told they would show up with all the parts needed to do the job. Plumber showed up so after my initial call and job description/request. My son and daughter discussed the job onsite with the plumber, and the plumber said it was not problem. we even supplied a drawing of the sink requirements. We asked for an estimate, yet did not receive one. The plumber he needed to get parts and would start the job the next day. The next day, yet showed up the next day and was still short of parts and spent 45 minutes getting the new part. Then the plumber removed the salt system, then installed hot/cold lines at floor level, not sink level as requested or even measured the sink for height and placement. The plumber did what he wanted and charged me what he wanted without discussing, estimate, and following our request... So I was charged the trip charge of $75 as a customary requirement for a plumber 10 miles away from the jobsite, 3.3 hrs. for labor at $145 and hour for labor for a simple job with my son as his helper. We tried to stop payment on the check to discuss the issues, and they submitted the check and my bank failed to stop payment. So I called to ask about the payment and mentioned i have a canceled check for the payment, and was told to send them a check or pay cash, when the they had already received the payment. Since the plumber requires cash, you are stuck with having to sue them. Therefore, I feel this is two counts of fraud...so I would find any other plumber and stay clear of this vendor...I know I will let all my friends and family know that they are out to rip you off. And we realize they will refute this review and to try to blame me for their fraud....

BakerHouse Service Co…read more We contacted Daniel at BakerHouse Service Co for A/C servicing Jan 21, and Daniel scheduled us for next day, Feb 22. We have been here 6 years and the house is 18 years. We've never had our A/C, furnaces, and fireplaces checked so we were doing preventative maintenance and ensuring our systems are not producing carbon monoxide. Daniel got on our roof and checked both A/C units. We had a broken switch, broken contact, and 3 capacitors that were below spec. Replaced with new parts and both units working properly. We also requested to check both of our furnaces. No carbon monoxide and again capacitors below spec, replaced and both units working properly. Daniel checked both gas fireplaces, no carbon monoxide and he showed us on how to turn them both on. Lastly Daniel drained our water heater. We are very pleased with Daniel's work. We are greatly relieved that our major HVAC systems, fireplaces, and water heater are all working great and we are grateful we now have an honest and very capable HVAC systems contractor we can rely on.
