Searched using Yelp for bbq that's around an hour or less away from the homestead because it was an absolutely perfect day and wanted to get out and drive and enjoy the scenery! Located just outside lovely downtown Wilmington and seems like plenty of street parking around but you may end up with a short walk to get back tots storefront! Walkjng up to storefront we realized they have live music and the band was fantastic. We walked in, the menus are in a stand right inside. Grab one, study and decide what sounds good then walk up to the bar and they take your order there. We ordered two flights of hard cider, well because they have eight flavors and we wanted to try all of them. They prepare drinks for you as you order so no waiting for these. The food order takes a bit and they announce thru overhead and send you a text when your food order is ready. The hard ciders are quite the gamut of flavors with some being fantastic and some being a bit of a punch to the flavor buds! My favorite was the Monkey Business! We left this one as a dessert for post dinner... and mercy, the three meat dinner including brisket, pulled pork and a spicy smoked sausage. All were incredible! Not your normal just salt and pepper bark. They use some added seasonings that went very well together. Soooo good. The jalapeño mac&cheese was tasty as well? Will we go back? Ummmm, absolutely! Support the local mom and pops people! We actually met the owners(Michelle and Jason?) while we're were there which was sweet! Nice hard working folks! Oh, and the live music out on the patio was a little loud for me but they were excellent musicians. And dog friendly out there too so that's nice!

Brisket Platter, green beans and coleslaw

This was our first time to Tincap. It was really good. My wife and I both had the Briskit platter. It was really good. Decent amount of brisket, coleslaw was good as were the green beans. I ordered a beer and after I was drinking it the waitress came over and wasn't sure she poured me the right one so she brought me another. Very thoughtful. Good people and good food. We will be back.

A very welcome surprise while traveling. From the service to the menu..this is a great find. This is definitely a recommended place!

The feel and atmosphere in this restaurant is just phenomenal and made me feel comfortable from the first step in the door. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you if they aren't too busy or you grab it and go back to your table. The pulled pork wrap was tender and so tasty. I added more bbq sauce for my taste and o yes I would definitely order it again. All the bbq is smoked. The Macdaddy is pulled pork with green chili Mac and cheese. Let's just say, WOW!! These two were a perfect combination together. A hint of spice with the bbq was just great. The portion sizes seemed small at first but I was so wrong. They were perfect and the right amount because I was full and content after eating. Now the hard cider, has a crisp and just smooth flavor. It wasn't too tart and didn't hurt the stomach like we've experienced before. The slaw was great. The spinach artichoke dip was different from what I've actually ever had. It was a cold dip. But it was delicious and I would absolutely order again. We will be coming back.

After traveling from Columbus to hike at cesar creek we made the tiniest detour to stop at tincap winery. While we didn't see any wine there was tons of cider, and it was all delicious. They had about 8 to choose from, plus other beer on tap, and two types of slushees. I had sour pear (tasted like a sweet tart) and a spicy mango that were both great. My friend had peach and blackberry and loved them both. We also shared a pink lemonade slushie, but I thought it tasted like disinfectant (she liked it though). Also super delicious was the pizza! I'm not a huge pizza fan, but since this was all they had, we got it, and I loooooved it! Super saucy and great. Beautiful patio that my dog enjoyed, and super friendly staff, I will definitely make a stop here again in the Future!

We were in the area and looking for a place to stop. Yelp did not disappoint! Very clean. Cool vibe. Staff was very friendly and offered complimentary tastings. We tried several, but both decided on the Cherry Chili Pie Cider (and we rarely agree on our beverages). Sounds weird, but so good. We ended up taking a growler home. Would definitely return if we find ourselves back in that area.

Craft beers and ciders and cocktails... Oh my! The hubby and I were just enjoying a Saturday drive when we decided to head into Wilmington to grab a bite. What attracted us was the music they piping out into the street. . I really love the atmosphere of this place, it's a casual grab a menu pick a seat and order at the bar. There is a lower level with a few tables when you walk in the door then the main floor area and then an upstairs where I'm assuming the live entertainment takes place. The food was tasty. Dean got the turkey wrap and coleslaw and I opted for the meat parfait! You wouldn't think there's a whole lot of food in that little parfait cup but I dumped it on the plate and oh my goodness the hubby had to help me finish it. Employees were friendly and extremely helpful. They do offer flights and they do offer a sample tastes of the cider before you buy. It was also reasonably priced.

After our…read moreperformance, we needed a place to eat after 9 PM, and Fiesta Veracruz was recommended by some of the students. The interior really lived up to the name--it was festive with lots of blue and brown tones, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The space was much larger than I expected, divided into three main areas. I was with a group of eight, and we had no trouble getting seated. Keep in mind, their kitchen stops serving the main menu after 10 PM, so plan accordingly. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered tostadas from the menu. While it said they only came with ground beef, the waitress happily substituted steak for one of them at my request. I was curious about the ground beef, so I ended up getting one steak and one ground beef tostada, along with a side of fries and a strawberry kiwi margarita to drink. Before I get into the details, I'll mention that I'm from Chicago, where there's no shortage of excellent Mexican cuisine, so I might be a little biased. That said, the steak tostada was good, though I felt the shell could've been a bit thicker to better support the toppings. The fries were standard, and the margarita was delicious. If you're choosing between the steak and ground beef, I'd recommend the steak--it had better flavor in my opinion. Overall, I understand why Fiesta Veracruz is popular. It's probably one of the tastier spots in the area. If you're looking for some decent food in Wilmington, it's not a bad choice. For the area and a first-time experience, I'd give Fiesta Veracruz a 3 out of 5.

It is all hard surfaces and the music was a tad too loud (reduced upon request) and the two young infants were busy being infants ... cranky/noisy. Jayla was our server. Prompt and appropriately engaging and attentive. Unlike the prior visit, the chili was sufficiently warm when served and the spice level has improved, kind'a, sort'a like Wendy's spice level, but more flavorful - that is intended as a compliment. My buddy ordered the Italian sandwich w/roasted vegetables. The sandwich struck me as small-ish. The portion of roasted vegetables was generous. He liked both. The only disappointment this visit ... the hamburger bun utterly disintegrated after the third bite. They are proud that everything is scratch-made in house ... but this bun was a fail. I finished my burger w/fork and knife. When cashing out, the manager apologized and admitted that they had not sufficiently proofed the dough. Um; okay, so why serve a known problem? Minus 1-star. First visit: Yelp says that 3-stars is Okay. This was a 2.5-star experience that I am forgiving and rounding up to 3-stars. I sat at the counter to better gauge the tempo. The server arrived promptly with a menu, and my water appeared swiftly. It was refilled once by staff, twice by me. Inattention? Training? I ordered the single patty burger and upgraded the fries to a crock of chili. The chili was what I would describe as Ohio-mild. Not bland, just mild seasoning. The ingredients included beans (yay!) and the texture was good. The bad news: It was not hot. Not even warm. Mostly lukewarm, but four spoonfuls were cold. Yes, cold. And nobody' ever inquired if I was happy with the chili - or the burger. The menu mentions "weekly soup special." Chili was the weekly special. I am guessing that a pot of chili is kept in the cooler and only warmed(? microwaved?) when ordered. In the pic you will The burger is excellent. It was properly seasoned (not over- salted). The sesame bun was expertly toasted. The sauce is tasty and the portion was just right. The greens were a spring mix - another miss. The burger deserves cool crisp lettuce. I was not asked how I wanted the burger cooked ... it is a hand-formed thin patty, cooked on a flat top. It arrived well done, but not dried out. I would have preferred medium-rare, but was never asked. That said, I would happily order the burger again, but there is so much more on the menu that I want to try. The fries. I upgraded from fries to the chili for $2. Yet fries were also served. I am not a fries guy, primarily because I don't care for salt or carbs. These were made in house and if you like salted fries, you will probably be VERY happy with them. The ambiance is rural chic, nicely done and not what I expected to find in Blanchester. The woman working the register asked me to pay before my burger/entree was served. When I deferred, explaining that I would pay after my burger was served and consumed, she asked the kitchen about my burger and the reply from the grill suggested that my order was forgotten. When it arrived, it included fries that it should not have been plated (paid $2 to upgrade to chili. Summary: Great space. Great recipes. Great ingredients. Too many people/process problems. Will I return? Yes. I want to see if the problems are an aberration or endemic.
