The food was delicious and the atmosphere very vibey. Prices felt fair for the food and the portions, and the service was quick.

Places located in a strip mall while it did have good reviews it was in a seemingly seedyD edge of town. It's been my experience anytime you're near a convenience store that has those weird LED lights strong about the windows it's not the best area but I digress. The parking lot is super weird and it seems like you just kind of Park wherever you want there's no real method and it seems like they lose out on about 15 parking spots because it's not painted. The place is decorated rather nicely and they have a lot of Bourbons I really enjoy Corona na but nobody seems to carry it and this place was no exception so I had a Stella na instead. My wife and I were not famished so we both ordered a pretty simple house salad and we split a plate of chicken tenders which came with fries and coleslaw. You really can't screw up a salad too badly and they did pretty good here the chicken tenders were way overcooked chicken should not be that tough and you can tell by the breading that it was a lot darker than it was supposed to be but I still ate it. Not that it wasn't inedible I just wish it was not cooked as long. Pretty good portion of french fries coleslaw seems like it was standard food service coleslaw. Although I'm not drinking anymore they did have a whole boatload of Bourbons which in my younger days I probably would have tested quite a few of them so their name is true to the inventory. Music was a tad loud I kind of wish they had the ami jukebox where you can take it over and play your music either that or put the baseball game on something like that. Only reason for four stars was the overcooked chicken tenders. Decent place.

We were in Cincy and stopped here for dinner on our way back. This is Ohio's oldest restaurant…read more built inn1803. We enjoyed it! We started with cheese & crackers. House made crackers, blue cheese, walnuts, honeycomb, and cheddar cheese. A nice way to begin! I started with a cup of the chicken soup, chicken, mixed veggies - it hit the spot! Next I had the turkey Reuben and Cole slaw. Toasted marble rye piled high with turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Just delicious! The slaw was very good as well. Others had the braised short rib grilled cheese and the Dijon crusted braised short rib. They both said that they loved it! Overall the dinner was excellent! As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

I didn't think I would like the sauerkraut ball appetizer, but I did. The server suggested we have the salad for starters and I'm glad we did. Delicious dressing, crispy lettuce. The fried chicken though: juicy, flavorful, hot, crispy. Everything I was drooling for! Served with mashed potatoes (average, a little too thin in my opinion as a mashed potato connoisseur) and veggies. Hubs loved his short rib sandwich which and slaw. The decor fits their history as the oldest continuously operating inn in Ohio. We ate in a newly refreshed dining area that apparently was the original dining room, decorated with authentic Shaker antiques -- light, clean and airy. Lovely refinished wood floors, Shaker wooden chairs. It feels comfortable and real, not stuffy and old -- even though it's steeped in history. Our server was super friendly and attentive but not too much so. We parked in the big lot adjacent to the establishment. It wasn't crowded when we were there, but reservations are accepted in the more formal-ish dining room (flip flops not preferred). There is also a more casual tavern attached - apparently same menu.
