Off the beaten path so in my opinion you have to make it a want to go not a drive by and stop. 8 beers on tap and food options are empanadas, pigs in a blanket and chips. We went on a Wednesday so very quite but good for a group to take over the whole room. They do have outdoor seating but not covered and in the sun. Great little brewery situated in a business park in the South Park neighborhood! It was a while ago when I was here but what Steve and I both got was a great amber beer! Like any good brewery they have snacks you can purchase and we bought some chips and salsa here which were great! Apparently the guy that makes the salsa has his place in the same business park but we were not unable to find the location we went walking for it. The people that run it are very sweet and congenial and I would love to go back! read more

This is the product of years of hard work--three decades' experience as a homebrewer here in town, parlayed into a pro operation. They are tucked into a big long low series of warehouses off Cloverdale--way, way down in South Park. They front on the street. Plenty of parking, and a nice open space when the garage door rolls up. Inside, there are a couple of tables, a long narrow brewing space, and a lav way in the back. The bar pours half a dozen of their own beers. Prices are fair, and they have a tiny list of tasty snacks. The beers pack a lot of flavor and plenty of heft--some nice big heavy-hitters. I didn't really vibe with most of the flavors, but the setting and the people are so nice that I would happily come back to turn others on to this place. read more

Nice selection of beers, they tend to be unique and well crafted. It is literally a small mom and pop Establishment and they have a good mind for the beer they produce. I love that they opened a brewery in South Park Seattle, it makes the neighborhood just a little more inviting and desirable place. Tin Dog Brewing - A fun addition, a Crowler! - Breweries Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Some might say intimate but I'd say cramped. Compared to other small breweries in the area, this place is really small. I went in the night before Thanksgiving and I could hardly step up to the counter because of a group of people that were sitting around enjoying some brew. The were within inches of the counter though so it was a little awkward and uncomfortable for me. As for the beer. It is super high quality and brewed with great attention however their Belgium and German styles do not suite my taste. Everything has this distinct flavor that I just don't care for. If you've ever had a Hoegaarden then you'll know what I'm talking about. They did however save Thanksgiving for me. I was in search of a 32oz can of brew to use with my beer can turkey when my first stop was around the corner at two of the other breweries. One was closed and the other only sells growlers so I ran up to Tin Dog and was able to get the big can. It did the trick and the turkey turned out wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving 2015 everyone. I love sour beers and Lisa and Eric do a great job with theirs, but they also have great options for the non-sour lovers out there (like my bf who loves IPAs)! Kid-friendly (they've got plenty of toys and a changing table in the bathroom), dog friendly (it's right there in the name!), and just friendly all around. Nice outdoor seating options when the weather allows too. Highly recommend you swing by and grab some beer-to-go and plan a return trip once COVID mellows out. read more

There is some outdoor seating,indoor seating and some fun games! 2). The owners are phenomenal and they want to be able to call you by name!! 3). This place focuses specifically on sours. I enjoy a good sour now and again, but I think it's an odd choice to create an entire repertoire around just sour beers. I would think it's a bit of an odd choice to do that for anything (ie stouts, belgians, barrel aged, etc.). Their beer is pretty good, but on the expensive side for what you're getting. The recipes they come up with are fairly creative and the couple who own and run the joint are welcoming and talkative to guests. It is pet friendly and kid-friendly. The location is more of a downside than an upside. I don't mean that South Park isn't a great place for a brewery/pub... it is. I just mean the specific strip mall location of Tin Dog is somewhat in no man's land. The closest bus stop is a couple blocks away and there is no sidewalk for a good portion of the walk to/from it. read more

Tin Dog is a total gem on the outskirts of South Park. It's totally unassuming, sitting in the Cloverdale Business Park, but once you find it you'll want to stay all night. Lisa, one of the owners, is always so friendly and patient. The beers are top-notch, and there is always good company. The regulars are the friendly kind, which isn't always the case. Oh! And they're dog friendly so bring your pups! Disregard old reviews on their cramped tiny space. They expanded their space so there is now plentyyyyy of room! read more

Extremely rude owner/"bartender." Claimed to have won awards for her mediocre sours. Made a point of telling us "we don't like to give samples" although I'd never been there before and was unfamiliar with her beers. Also told my boyfriend they only made one IPA for "cantankerous people like him" who don't like sours. Then she poured him a full glass which she overcharged for. Worst brewery experience ever. Located at the west end of South park in an industrial park, look for the A frame sign. Cool, mellow industrial Bauhaus feel as you sip your pint of Saison. Went there with a friend. This place is TINY. Only a few tables indoors and outdoors. Looks like it is inside a storage unit. Met the owner briefly. He seemed alright, no issues there, friendly enough, offered many samples, spoke about his brewery. To be perfectly honest, we struggled to find any beers we really liked. I LOVE Belgian and Farmhouse style beers. Some of my favorite. This beer has some strange twist. To me it was like instead of having a regular saison, it had basil, ginger, orange, and peppercorn. Ok, that wasn't a beer, but it seemed like that. I totally get experimenting, but with about 9 taps, we sampled several before finding anything we wanted. My friend is far more accepting of unique beer than me, and even she wanted to go after 2 beers. Didn't hate it, but didn't like it. I notice many people give 5 stars and say it is the best beer they ever had. Same people also say that about EVERY brewery. Not every place can be the best. I have no complaints with the owner, prices were competitive, but the place is cramped, and the beer was just not memorable at all, because when I read the beer profiles on the web site, I couldn't wait to go. After this visit, I don't plan to return. You might like it. Go check it out and see what you think. read more

While German-style beers are not usually my forte I have to say I really enjoyed the variety and flavor of what Tin Dog had to offer. The owner was there and gladly showed us his brewing system which he built mostly himself. It was extremely impressive! He used a lot of repurposed materials in building this place which is wonderful. He takes a lot of well-deserved pride in his business. We will gladly go back to support this wonderful brewery and tap room. read more

I'm also not a Belgian beer drinker, however the Saison was smooth and clean. The white IPA was lite, but with a crisp hoppy finish. To top it off, the owner is chatty and friendly...my favorite part of the brewery experience. read more

I have tried to like beer for a long time but haven't really been a fan until I came here a couple of weeks ago. Now I come every weekend! I love their beer, and the people around. Everyone is so nice, especially the owners Eric and Lisa. They always introduce me to people when I'm there. They also have games and puzzles for adults and kids. So you can bring your whole family, even your dog! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the fresh homemade Empanadas they get from a local lady. They are so yummy. read more

I just spent the afternoon at Tin Dog and could not be more pleased. I ordered flights of their 5 tap selections and was very impressed by both the variety and quality of each brew. There is a good balance of shooting for excellence in styles and adding distinctive notes to make it their own. I especially liked the dubbel that they have going right now and couldn't leave before I enjoyed a pint of it. The space is small and cozy with one wall open that can open to the outside on sunny days. The perfect setting for a small tap room. This spot is really going to take off once summer hits and word gets out about it. One of the best parts of the experience, however, are the owners. Lisa and Eric are the owners and operators of Tin Dog and were more than willing to chat about the brewing process and their plans for the brewery. Very friendly and neighborly, the kind of people that are in it for the love of brewing and sharing their beer. I plan to be on the front edge of what will surely be a blooming brewery. read more
