Both dogs are beautiful, incredibly healthy, and have been amazing additions to our family. And I really can't say enough good things about Famn Damily. I've been there twice now. With my family. In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm. And she's amazing. I know that my future dogs will be golden retrievers, simply because I know I only want to get puppies from Melodie, from Famn Damily, and Golden retrievers are what she breeds. I've recommended Taravale to many of my friends and I still would not hesitate to do so. The daily rate is also lower than average, so it's a good value.

The manager of the shelter at the time appeared to have someone else lined up to adopt the dog but did not tell us that. I did everything I could think of to prove to him that we would give the dog a good home. I took photos of our property inside and out, showed him that we had a fenced yard, etc, etc,etc. He said someone would visit our home but that never happened. He also said he would call when a decision was made and that also never happened. We ended up adopting a seven year old (Approximate) Yorkie (Blossom) from the Brennan Humane Society in Gloversville and could not have been happier with the adoption. Blossom recently passed due to age after giving us seven years of love, affection and happiness. Each year she travelled back and forth to FL with us and was never a problem.
