Cute old fashioned ice cream shop. Had a good amount of choices as well as additional specialties on their board. I recommend eating across the street on the grass.

Great classic ice cream parlor that is family owned. The quality is amazing and very clean. Workers are all dressed up in vintage ice cream parlor gear. Will come here anyday over the Wisconsin dells shops

Incredible ice cream. Family business with personal touch. I went with two others and they were thrilled with the flavor.

It's in an inconspicuous place - we would have walked right past it if we hadn't Googled it in advance. The location is phenomenal by the way - right off the main square in downtown Baraboo. This place hit the spot. We loved how you could turn any combination into a salad, wrap or sandwich all of which come with a side of your choice. There's plenty of vegetarian-friendly options and you can modify your order (I asked for no onions, add Mayo and add avocado, which wasn't an issue). Prices are kind of high but we expected that considering we were looking for fresh and healthy eats. While we wished portions were bigger the meal was satisfying. You can also get bubble or fruit teas here and ice cream. They're outside seating options and plenty of indoor tables and chairs among thriving plants throughout the space. Seems to be a family run, local business which we always appreciate and like to support.

When I first walked in, there were a lot of people just standing around and the staff looked frantic, so I walked out debating whether or not I wanted to wait for the chaos to die down. I came back about 15 minutes later and ordered a beet smoothie. The staff still seemed overwhelmed and not very friendly. Also to note, their smoothies are $8 and mostly contain fruit and syrup. There is an option to customize your own smoothie if you'd like.

We tried the following traditional ice cream flavors: "This Just Got Serious"-which if I remember correctly was a caramel ice cream with cashews and chocolate pieces in it-it was delicious. "Blackberry Lemon bar"- lemon ice cream with lots of blackberry ribbon throughout, pieces of lemon bar in it. "Gumball"-tasted like pink bubble gum. "Zoreo"- I believe was chocolate with Oreo cookie pieces. "Sticks and Stones"-chocolate covered pretzels, caramel ribbon and marshmallow ice cream. They only offer drive-thru or walk up options. They have an outdoor patio area. Keep in mind if you have small children that this is on the corner of 2 main roads so you will need to keep an eye on them if they wonder. Staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the flavors to us. The amount of money we spent (around $7) for five kids scoops of ice cream was about $10 less than we would've spent at Dairy Queen, and it tasted better. I hear they also offer tasty popcorn. We didn't get any this time but will come back to try again due to the good customer service and delicious ice cream.

My husband and I…read morefirst met Mike when he was part owner of Mama Mia's on the square in Baraboo, and now he's opened his own restaurant as the sole owner. Mike immigrated here legally from Albania and became a U.S. citizen, and you can taste the pride he puts into every dish--everything is homemade, even the pasta. I had the spicy chicken arrabbiata with Alfredo sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The homemade garlic knots were mouthwatering, and the salads were fresh and crisp. My friend ordered the shrimp pasta and loved it. I also brought home two pizzas for my family, and they said it was the best pizza they've ever had! The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is spacious with a great bar area. From now on, Mike's Italian Restaurant will be our go-to spot whenever we're in Baraboo. If you're in the area, give Mike a try--you won't be disappointed!

From the moment we walked through the door, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who made us feel like family. Our server, his daughter, told us that her father prepares everything from scratch every single day--and you can absolutely taste the difference. Every course was exceptional. From the appetizers to the homemade soup, fresh salad, and incredible entrées, everything was prepared with care and full of authentic flavor. Then came dessert. Even though we were completely stuffed and couldn't imagine eating another bite, we're so glad we ordered the cannoli. It was absolutely outstanding--the perfect way to end an incredible meal. Crispy, fresh, perfectly filled, and easily one of the best cannolis we've ever had. Without a doubt, this is some of the best Italian food we've had outside of New York. It's rare to find a place where the food, hospitality, and family atmosphere all come together so perfectly. If you're looking for authentic, homemade Italian cuisine, do yourself a favor and give this restaurant a try. We'll definitely be back!

The service was incredibly friendly, and amazingly fast, given we had a larger order and the place was fairly busy. There were plenty of options; from drink options/flavors, to bakery and breakfast items, etc. If you can't find something to order, that is completely on you because the choices are plenty. We opted for a couple of seasonal lattes, which were, unfortunately, very lacking in flavor. I typically order my coffee drinks half sweet, but this particular day I was wanting something sweet and flavorful so I skipped that directive, and was still disappointed. Bakery items and other drinks were good. There was some sort of market happening in the front of the store, which could have caused for more crowding/chaos elsewhere, but overall it felt like there was a lot of "stuff" everywhere. The seating area seems really crowded, but also didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. There was a messy desk back by the bathrooms, and while I understand this is probably a busy work area for someone, it all just made me feel a little stressed out. Not a place I would feel relaxed to complete any work.
