Back Forty is huge-with plenty of seating to accommodate large crowds, couples or even families with little ones. There's plenty of big screens to watch the games on, and I would really love to come back during football season to do just that. I ordered their infamous Back 40 cheeseburger on this visit. While it wasn't my favorite, for a brewery it was definitely above average. It was juicy, made to order and fresh. I didn't care for the sauce nor the stringy onions so I would order it plain next time or try something else on the menu. The shoestring fries were well seasoned with something like garlic parmesan. They were my delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful as we placed our orders. This is a cool spot to hang with your friends, drink, eat and watch some sports or watch the trains go by. I enjoyed my visit and I'm looking forward to coming back.

People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. Shoestring.

They had a band called Bob and the Fog playing. They sounded good. There is room to dance. They host other social events like Bingo, corn hole toss and darts. Parking is ok for persons with disabilities. They also allow outside food but NO DRINKS. I saw some deliveries in the area. They also had a food trailer in the parking lot. That person sold fried fish and chicken with chips it was ok. I think some pizzas would be great. Plenty of beer to choose from their house menu. They have some wine and canned sodas. Prices are fare. Overall had a good time and we would come back.

We have loved their Blood Orange Berliner Weisse for years and have always said we needed to make it to the brewery. Today was the perfect chance. It was a Sunday afternoon, and luckily, they were open. There were just a few people, but as they day progressed, more trickled in. Michelle, the beertender, at the time was great. She suggested all sorts of beers based on my taste and let me sample them all. One suggestion she had was to mix the Mango with the Blood Orange. It was really good. The two that I ended up drinking were the Duck River Dunkel and the ISB English Ale. I also liked that they had pretzels and popcorn as bar snacks. We met some really nice people and talked for a while. It reminded me of the old summer days when everyone would just sit and talk and enjoy life. It sure beat the fast-paced and scheduled life that goes on today.

It has everything you want in a brewery; really good beer, solid food menu, fun vibe and lots to do. The beer: The most important part. I was surprised their beer was as good as it was because their signature is a basic blonde ale. Cahaba has beers that are anything but basic. I got a flight with an African Saison, a Southern Feistbeer, River Haze (hazy IPA) and a blood orange blonde. Everything was delicious. The space is large with lots of picnic tables inside a climate-controlled warehouse, a bunch of video games, pinball machines and skeeball. They distill their own spirits as well and had a cocktail menu featuring those spirits. The full-time food truck outside had a solid looking menu. Sadly, I had eaten before I came because their smashburger and wings looked amazing at the table next to me.
