Brewery #430 I stopped in here with a buddy to get a few beers and grab a bite to eat. Neighbor's is located in an outdoor mall/entertainment complex that seemed really nice. The outdoor area by Neighbors had tons of activities and TV's for large groups. The indoor area seemed like a mini food court with an arcade. There was a pizza place, a bbq joint and a bar. They all kind of seem connected but you had to pay separately at each place. I had my buddy order me a Screen Test Pizza which is a garlic puree cream sauce as a base with smoked chicken, roasted tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. I normally don't like white sauce pizzas, but I had to pee and just picked something since my buddy was paying. My little faux pas turned out to be a great decision. The pizza was great. The beer was decent; the Belgian triple was my favorite of the 2, with the double IPA being the other one. They didn't have a big selection and they didn't have flights. Cool spot to watch a game or to bring the kiddos to run around while the adults have a few cold ones. read more

I came here on Sunday Funday to grab some pizza. I ordered the pepperoni pie & added mushrooms )$15 plus with tax). The pizza had way more mushrooms than pepperoni. This was kinda disappointing even though I really love mushrooms. I also wish they had put more pizza sauce on the crust. Sooooo , this pizza was just okay. The ratio was just off on all the ingredients. The staff were all friendly as well as helpful. I was happy to learn of their $ 5 mimosa Sunday special (all day). This is part of The Backyard which combines a Game Center (mini golf, arcade, pool tables, pinball) with two restaurants - Neighbors and Saw BBQ. You order from a counter, grab your table number and fountain soda, and they bring the food to you. We chose a seat near the pinball. The change machine was out of order and the one pinball game did not work after putting in money, so that part was a bit disappointing. I ordered from the Neighbors menu and had the Smokey Chicken and Bacon Hoagie which came with a bag of kettle chips. The bun is toasted, with a good amount of chicken and bacon combined with a pesto sauce. A very good sandwich even though they were out of my original choice of The Cuban. We came here for a family dinner to celebrate my adult son's birthday before he and my daughter went to a movie at the next door drive-in theater. There are 2 lines for ordering in addition to the bar. The line to the right as you come in allows you to order both the Saw's BBQ menu and pizza menu. The line to the left only has the pizza menu. Since we had already decided on pizza for everyone, we benefitted from the much shorter line for just that menu. There was a pretty good crowd this night so seating was at a premium, especially for outdoor options. My wife & I got the Sausage Pie with Conecuh & Italian Sausage to share. Daughter got the Veggie Pie (spinach, olives, red onion, bell pepper, mushroom, artichokes & tomatoes) and Son the Neighbor's Pie (salami, pepperoni, ham, Conecuh sausage, bacon & Italian sausage). I love this place! The pizza is delicious. Saws barbecue is yummy and always consistent. The atmosphere is relaxing. The staff is always accommodating and nice. I'm sure those traveling have a nice surprise. I'm glad it's less than 10 miles from our house. Especially fun when you are there and there's live music. read more

This is a pretty cool place to hang out! I came here last week with my boyfriend and his family/friends. I had never heard of it, but they have pizza and a Saw's barbeque here. I had the pepperoni pizza. Delicious! To drink, I had a special frozen drink called the Holiday Ho. It had apple and whiskey in it. It was so strong and really snuck up on me! You only need one! Great little brewery addition to the Shoppes at Grande River. Kind of surprised that they would add a brewery, but a really great idea. Space is wide open and allows for plenty of social distancing. Staff are really friendly and do a great job of interfacing with the customer and making sure they are taken care of and don't need anything. Really, my only deduct, is that they don't have an expansive selection of their own stuff that they are brewing. Maybe that will come with time. They do have a really good tripel, so I was happy with what I was able to get. Also, they have their own food (I didn't try, but it looked good) and share space with SAWS BBQ (In my opinion, some of the best you can get around and would like to try this location .... soon). Great little stopping off spot to grab something to drink on a hot day of shopping. Check these guys out! read more

Crust was a typical hand thrown type with a little edge to hold to eat. I ordered a Cahaba Hurricane with a 150 Floater of Rum $11. Delicious. I ordered the 12" Cheese Pie. It's covered in tomato sauce (not too much and not lightly painted on) and a good amount of mozzarella cheese. It also arrived hot & delicious. Crust was a typical hand thrown type with a little edge to hold to eat. I highly suggest you give them a try and stay for a drive-in movie. Sigh, hard for me to criticize a bar/restaurant. This is indeed a fun place, it looks great, great energy, a lot of activities around inside and out. So on those aspects it receives a good rating. But I had higher expectation on the food because it's in the South and you expect smoked to be good. I'm not going to rate the entire place on my dinner but my smoked chicken platter was about as plain as you could possibly make chicken and the fries look like they were yesterday's leftovers. It's not that the chicken was bad, it wasn't, it was just simply the most white notebook paper chicken I've ever had in my life. So we ordered pizza to try to make up for this and it was a medium experience. So, in other words, this place is more about the experience than the environment than it is the food and we all know that experience and environment is important as food, just set your expectations. read more

What a fun family night! We came to the Grand River Drive In for a movie and decided to get dinner at Neighbors before the show. Great pizza, fast service and cool bar! We ordered the Grand River and Pepperoni Pies and found the pizza sauce was very flavorful. The tables outside have a cool vibe with a view of the mini golf and cornhole and many extra chairs to just chill and people watch. Great ambiance for an outdoor casual night! The family and I decided to pickup pizza. We've been here several times before and had no issue. The cashier advised that it would be a 30 minute wait for the pizza due to a large party ahead of us. We decided to wait and ordered nachos to eat while we wait. We explained that the pizza was takeout but would like the nachos as soon as possible. We grabbed drinks and spent approximately $86 including a tip. After waiting 45 minutes, we noticed everyone around us (including people who came in after us) were receiving their orders. My husband went back to the cashier to confirm that we would receive the nachos immediately. After another 10 minutes, the pizzas arrived but still no nachos. Our server was very nice. We explained our issue and asked to get the nachos to go. My husband returned to the cashier area to request the nachos to go. The server was explaining the issue to the manager when my husband approached. The manager (I wish I got her name) was completely nonchalant and dismissive of the whole situation. "They knew it was a 30 minute wait." It actually was an hour. We rarely complain but we were really surprised by the manager's attitude/reaction. Stuff happens but her dismissive attitude (she didn't realize my husband heard her) was extremely disappointing. I love supporting local businesses, but I doubt we will return. read more

They are way overpriced for the quality you get in return. I just spent $30 for what was essentially a medium pizza and medium garlic cheese-bread. For the same price you can get 3 medium pizzas and a cheese-bread from Dominos or Papa John's. You'd think that the quality from a wood-fired pizza oven, and good ingredients would justify the price, but not in this case. The crust was so chewy that it gave me a headache and was a chore to try and finish. Makes me think they microwaved an old pizza instead of baking one fresh. I don't know what kind of sauce or garlic butter they're putting on the cheese-bread, but they slathered it on so thick under the cheese that you'd think it was an Alfredo sauce pizza. It somehow managed to come out both soggy and chewy at the same time. I wouldn't pay half what they charged me for what I got. Maybe if you're 6 drinks in at their bar, you might think otherwise, but I'll never order from here again. read more

I don't know about the brew pub but the pizzas we ordered were not very good. #1 is you can't order specific toppings. You have to get one of their 5 pizzas. We got their version of a white pizza. There was so much garlic on it that it was hard to eat. If they are going to have "Pies" in their name, they need more offerings and better training on cooking them. Will not get another pizza from there. read more
