I highly recommend it...anyhoo, I didn't have time to get my hair done before we left, so I kept asking around for a place to go and people kept telling me 'Vicki, up on the highway' (small town life). Finally, finally, I found the salon in Nehalem - and there was Vicki! She was actually leaving to go meet her son at the airport or somewhere, he was finishing a tour of duty in Iraq - so Pam did my hair - she did a great job and it was so reasonable to boot! Plus, they had a very well known celebrity and her entourage (I think it was 1 or 2 people, ha ha) in that day for manicures/pedicures. This person was a big celebrity in the 70s so from what I understand the girl doing her nails asked her what she did for a living in Los Angeles - ha ha ha - that is cute! The door was locked but someone came and greeted me anyway, after I explained that I just needed a haircut and a beard trim, he invited me in and it was only after we started talking that I found out that he was supposed to be off that day, feeling under the weather, they had already closed, and it was only by chance that he was even there at all. She made my witchy hair look normal and actually good after going 8 months without a haircut. She pretty much made my fear go away.
