I highly recommend it...anyhoo, I didn't have time to get my hair done before we left, so I kept asking around for a place to go and people kept telling me 'Vicki, up on the highway' (small town life). Finally, finally, I found the salon in Nehalem - and there was Vicki! She was actually leaving to go meet her son at the airport or somewhere, he was finishing a tour of duty in Iraq - so Pam did my hair - she did a great job and it was so reasonable to boot! Plus, they had a very well known celebrity and her entourage (I think it was 1 or 2 people, ha ha) in that day for manicures/pedicures. This person was a big celebrity in the 70s so from what I understand the girl doing her nails asked her what she did for a living in Los Angeles - ha ha ha - that is cute! She was funny and easy to talk to. Everyone was laughing and all talking together. She did a great job cutting my hair, so that it will look great curly or straight. She also put some awesome color it it! She has great vision, and was willing to tweak what I wanted to fit it perfect to my hair and style. Even though I live in Portland, I am willing to drive to Tillamook to get my hair done.

I went online and searched for "hair salons near me" and the salon in Rockaway Beach was closed for the day. I saw Tina's Hair Salon in Garibaldi not far away and actually somewhere we'd be passing heading to Fred Meyer in Tillamook. Tina's was open for business on Saturday, but had a customer ahead of me and asked if I could return 30 minutes later. That gave me and my husband time to enjoy the nearby Bayfront Bakerty while I waited to have my hair cut. Tina's Hair Salon seemed to be the hub for news on local happenings. Tina listened to my request to trim my bangs and cut the rest to reshape my out of control hair that was flipping out rather than under like it was supposed to. While Tina cut away, she shared relationship advice from a woman married 60 years and tips she gave moms with daughters who wouldn't care for their hair. Tina has picked up many nuggets during her 35 years in the profession. I enjoyed Tina's chatting and I was very happy with the hair cut as well as the reasonable $20 charge. I would definitely go back! Tina's Hair Salon isn't fancy, but it's worth the stop.

I knew from the other reviews and from speaking with Katie, that she could do the job. I called on very short notice, she went out of her way to get her in before she had to go back to school. Katie is super sweet, a very attentive listener, has rock star cutting skills, and knew without a doubt how to fix the mess she was presented with. My daughter left happy and so did I, and since that time, Katie has been doing my hair every 7 weeks, and my daughter's when she comes into town.
