I went to Tina's for a couple of years and use to not make an appointment but the caliber of nail techs had declined quickly and was not liking the way my nails were being done. I started booking my appointments only with Deanna and as always she did such a great job then she left Tina's after Thanksgiving of 2025. Good news is I found her at Alora Nail Bar in Avon. The salon where Deanna is very nice with a great selection of colors in both gel and dip powder. Today, Saturday, June 21, I walked into this salon as a walk-in appointment and told there was a 30 minute wait and was seated in the waiting area. A white woman came in after me -- also a walk-in -- was also told there was a 30 minute wait, but she decided to go shopping and come back. Upon her return, I was still sitting in the waiting area yet she was taken back before me without explanation. We both arrived without appointments, yet she was prioritized over me. There was no communication, no apology, and no effort to acknowledge the order in which we arrived. It left me feeling invisible and disrespected. Whether intentional or not, this kind of treatment reflects a larger issue that many Black and Brown people face in service spaces -- being overlooked, undervalued, or treated as less than. I deserve to be treated with the same respect, urgency, and care as anyone else. I won't be returning. read more

Went in for a basic mani/pedi with no polish. I'm a massage therapist so I need short nails, kept neat and tidy around the cuticles. No need for polish because I trim my nails so frequently. She seemed annoyed that I didn't want polish. I just wanted to pamper myself with a little foot/hand massage after a long week. $70 for a whole lot of nothing. No buffing, just scraped along the top of each nail once sideways, leaving them looking scratched. Cuticles weren't even fully trimmed. Frustrated and annoyed. I don't pamper myself often and this is exactly why. read more

Everything about the service was terrible. The filing was crooked. I asked her to use a buffer and she didn't want to. The polish was missing on the edges of my nails. The topcoat was put on so fast that it had bubbles in it looked like it was little brown splotches everywhere. I asked for it to be redone, and she was just gonna put on another coat of polish and another coat of topcoat. She had polish all over the edges of my cuticles, and I had to ask for it to be removed off of my skin. My 3 year old could've done a better job. I will never be going back here. I've been here several times and always leave disappointed but this time was a complete disaster. read more

Horrible job, I gotten a full set the nail tech was rushing not pay attention to doing my nails. He stated that he has been a tec for over 10 plus years it looked like he was in training. He had acrylic all on my fingers and Cuticles it was terrible. They had no list of pricing he wrote 70.00 dollars down on a pad and I get to the register and he charged me 75.00. 1) They do not take appointments online, even though if you google Tina's Nail & Spa, their "website" appears and allows you to make an appointment (I even got an email confirmation). 2) If you make an appointment online and show up at the time you thought you reserved, someone will simply point to a sign that says "we do not take online appointments" and WALK AWAY. That's it. As if you know this sign exists when you're booking online. Needless to say, I'm not interested in calling this place to make an appointment either. read more

This spa is in an easy to get to location with plenty of parking. The salon itself is very nice with no overpowering smell of solvents that is often found at nail salons. Went on Friday afternoon. No wait. Salon was clean and music was nice not invasive. Paid for deluxe $60 pedicure. They did not seem to have gel polish, was not happy about that. Tech was very focused on long leg massage which as nice. However, my feet we're not exfoliated properly so much so that they feel no different then when I arrived. I didn't notice until I got home and felt my feet. Big mistake. The toe polish was done nicely. The hot stone massage included with my treatment was unpleasant. Nail techs aren't experienced but charge too much. I received a fill in and was charged $46 I had acrylic all over my hands and my nails looked like I needed a fill in right after she finished. I was nice about it and asked them to fix it, she told a younger girl to do it and the poor girl was clueless, just looked at my nails and did nothing. This is one place I will never be returning to. I came here to treat my little sister. We came in and went to choose a color while waiting for someone to take us. After a minute, one of the employees rushed us and told us to hurry up though there was no one else waiting. So my sisters nails: the color was old and didnt even show up. They REFUSED to repaint them but said they could paint over it. How ridiculous! It takes a second to tale off the old, crappy polish. They justified this because she chose the pilish abd they didnt choose it for her. The woman was imcredibly rude about it. Also, there was a lot of residue under her nails she later had to remove. My nails: weren't as bad but there was polish on my skin in several places, the technician cut me and the products ended up stinging. Originally I really liked Tina's. I would come when I couldn't get in at my normal spot or needed something real quick. I soon learned however that they're very sloppy with their work. And they're EXPENSIVE. Also, I've seen the owner Tina be really rude to customers on multiple occasions. Sigh. That was my last straw. I walked in for a shellac full set manicure, as well as a pedicure, to prepare for walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid. I got right in! I wish I could recall my technician's name, as she was extremely kind and efficient, and did a top-notch job! She really took her time and focused on getting my nails perfect. The nails have held up well, even with white tips - one week later and no chips! Only cons: It's pricey here to do regularly. And the man who first welcomed me to the shop came across a bit rude, he kept rushing me to and fro and was rushing me to pick a color - even though there was no wait, I went right when they opened. Also, the massage chair was terrible - I had to shut it off because it really hurt back. I got a gift card for this place for a mani and pedi. It was easy to book the appointment and when I showed up early, they were able to accommodate me right away. Sadly I asked if I could soak in the chair for a bit before starting my appointment (which is why I came early) but I was either misunderstood or denied. Either way, it didn't happen. For my manicure, I opted for a regular polish and the girl didn't have any fans on her desk which means she layered 4 coats of polish in a matter of 10 minutes. Sitting at the lamp for 20 minutes and my nails are still not dry! The place is also dirty. While the pictures look upscale, up close, there is an inch of dust on everything. Any other salon I've gone to never had this problem. Not to mention whatever dusty thing hangs in the doorway to the back bathroom - gross. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you just need a quick fix and are not interested in the experience of a nail spa. read more
