This was on a Friday. He was supposed to buy baseboards over the weekend and paint them and then install on Monday. It lightly snowed on Monday and he didn't show up. Then Tuesday came and he didn't show up and wouldn't answer texts either. He said he was gonna show up on Wednesday. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing. I wanted to give him a chance despite his bad reviews but he totally messed up and kept the $200. He said that was the price for measuring! Do not hire him and save yourself a lot of anguish. I had Kelly Brothers paint my house in the summer of 2022 and so I've given it time for any faulty…read moreworkmanship to show itself. Although most of the paint job is holding up, I can't recommend the company because it appears they did little to no prep work on a house that definitely needed prep work in only a few places. Furthermore, once the job failed within the first year, I asked them to fix it and learned that they offer NO warranty on their workmanship so they were unwilling to do anything for me. In particular my front porch, which is sheltered from the sun, had a solid red stain on it that still had some of its original glossy finish. They did nothing to prep the surface (a quick wipe with some liquid sandpaper would have done a lot at very little effort) and instead just sprayed it with a topcoat of standard house paint where an oil-based primer followed by floor enamel (since much of the surface is flooring) would have been the better way to do it. It only took one good Truckee winter with water penetrating underneath for the paint to shrink and lift from the surface and expose bare wood underneath. It ended up far more ugly and unprotected than when it started. Since they did nothing to help remedy the job when I asked them, I had to fix the job my own expense and at great effort to make sure it was done right. I expected more from professionals who had experience dealing with the harsh climate.

I asked to have the panel painted with semi-gloss this time to avoid fingerprints. He suggest painting the surface of the trim in semi, and the bottom in flat to match the existing ceiling. It's small details that make the finished product. I will definitely us Radcliffe for any future painting needs. They are a local family owned business and care about their work.
