WINDOWS BUBBLED AND PEELED.... If I could give them zero stars I would. Fist of all they tinted my windows and didn't even clean them which in my opinion is a lousy job. There were bubbles on the driver side and passenger side window as well. I told them and they went through it but didn't get every bubble. The person said it was just wet and it would go away but it didn't. I waited 4 days to roll my windows down and when I did the top of the window tint in the driver and passenger side started to peel. I have gotten many of my vehicles tinted and never experience anything like this. Horrible job and I don't recommend going here. Save your money and time! read more

I took my car to this shop when it was located in Morgan Hill. My wife had purchased me something on Groupon as a Xmas present for my new car. To make a long story short.... After two attempts at getting my windows tinted, there were still noticeable bubbles in the tint. Went to have them tinted my Tesla Model S. Small bubbles everywhere around the edge of the back windows. I was told to wait a few weeks, it should go away. But now we're at 4 months and the bubbles are still present. Their price for 4 windows and back winshield was about 400 bucks. read more

I also had a protective clear bra placed on the front of my vehicle and the quality of work was crap. There were many imperfections to the point that some areas needed to be re done. I haver never had a car detailed in my life so I was a bit apprehensive to have anyone touch it. I have hade some not so good experiences in the past, but I knew I had to get this done. The paint felt like sand paper, even after I would wash it, it still felt and looked terrible, she is black metallic and had no shine and no depth. After seeing the facility and meeting the owner Xan Owens I committed. Well she looks like she just came out of the show room, so beautiful and slick. I had my windows tinted here and they unfortunately did an awful job. There were bubbles over a month later in four out of five windows & my back driver side window was somehow cut very crookedly. I had called regarding the bubbles a week after getting the tint & they said it's normal and will go away. Nope. Also, the crooked cut wasn't noticed till after I had moved away. Fortunately, I found a new Tint World. When I showed the owner my windows, he was appalled. He fixed all of my windows for free. He told me he had no idea as to how the one window was cut so crooked. Supposedly they use a laser cutter for the tint. What really gets me, is that I paid for the top of the line tint. I'd expect better application quality. All I can say is, take this as you see fit and if you decide to go here, make sure your windows are done correctly. read more

I was not able to use their tinting service, but I tried. After talking to someone in the morning, I arranged to come in the evening, with my wife to pick out the best option for tinting. Their hours say they are open til 6pm. I told them we would be there about 530. Arrived about 540, doors are locked. I called, no one answered. Never. Never contact these guys. They do very poor quality work with poor quality materials. And then they blame you. I installed a protective film on the front bumper on a Tesla model 3. As a result, a couple of weeks after washing, the film moved away and there were bubbles. Went back to them and they redid it. At the same time, they said that it was my fault and that it was necessary to leave the car with them for the night, but they themselves did not talk about this during the installation. Then, a couple of weeks after washing, the film broke all over. I called them and they said no problem, come fix it and again it's my fault because you can't wash the car for a month, but again I only find out about it when it's already broken. When I arrived (and I was going to go from Santa Cruz), they said that they would not fix it, since it was not after washing and that it was my fault because I hit something. As a result, a lot of money, nerves, travel time was spent, and now my husband is removing this film. read more

I got my windows tinted and Rally stripes put on my car. The customer service was great! Very nice staff. The tint came out great! It was the rally stripes that disappointed me. First some of the edges of stripes were cut uneven and sticking up. Second they forgot to put the rest of the stripes on the front bumper. Third the stripes I supplied them with came with pinstripes and they didn't even bother to put those on! I would of gone back but I barely notice this today and I'm sure they have already dispose of what remain of my stripes I gave them. Wouldn't recommend bringing a luxury or sports car here. They are nice people with good intention, but the skill isn't there. You'll have mini bubbles and light scratches, they will redo it for you since you do get lifetime warranty, but you will have the same end result. I personally like my tint to look oem, no bubbles, knife marks, or see the cut off edge. If your not picky this is a good place. But if you are picky and OCD about things, don't come here. I normally get my tint done in San Jose (California Glass Tinting Co.) but didn't have the time to drive there and drop of my car, there is no comparison between the two places, tint world has there products precut,(so they don't always fit exactly) while the other shop hand cuts its, leaving a perfect result with lifetime warranty as well. I did get a clear front bra protection from tint world as well, and it didn't turn out as I expected. The film ended about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from edges of the bumper and it isn't parallel to the edges either, there's lots of bubbles on certain bends of the bumper. Again, they have a machine pre cut it, so the results aren't perfect. Overall for the price I don't think it's worth coming here, San Jose charges me the exact same price and I get perfection the first time. read more

Recently completed a residential window tint project with Tint World. We called them and they came out immediately with swatch books, good selection to choose from. Pricing was competitive vs 2 other bids from large commercial shops in San Jose. Install time, communication, and customer service was excellent. Very pleased with the end results. Most of the windows were tinted perfectly, using a special material that was much more challenging to install than standard tint. However, we had a few windows that still did not look quite right after the curing period completed. Those windows were re-done, promptly and with a smile. This review is way overdo but I'm catching up on other reviews of local businesses. Tint World in Morgan Hill is a decent place. They try hard to please but I wouldn't say they are top of line in terms of workmanship. When I tinted my truck with them they left off an approximately centimeter on the top of the side windows claiming that otherwise it would get damaged by the windows rolling up. Other tint businesses tint all the way to the top. Oddly, when I brought my truck back a few weeks later wanting a darker tint, I made an appointment to remove the tint and place a much darker shade. When I came back to pick up the truck, I was informed that they made the judgement call to simple tint over the existing tint. The guy said it as if he did me a favor, even thought I was paying extra to remove the old tint. This was last time I went and have since gone to San Jose for my other cars. They mean well but certainly not top quality. read more

So my installer was Alex and he was incredibly competent, polite, and knowledgeable. My vehicle is an older 530i that I had spent significant resources on restoring and Alex was sensitive to the needs of this project. He had the stereo installed exactly on time and the install was clean and worked perfectly. The installation was a bit expensive but what isn't expensive these days, the cost was worth it to not have to worry about anything. I rate this 4 1/2 stars as I've NEVER seen a 5 star worthy business anywhere and have never given (nor will I ever I expect) 5 stars. I will be back. read more

Yeah the "no perfect environment" scenario makes sense, but when you get your car back and there's so much dirt and debris under their product, you start to wonder if they're starting up a leaf blower in the shop or having indoor rodeos at lunchtime, and if its possibly a combination of the dog hair from the dog they let wander around the shop all day. I do not doubt that there are other Tint World franchises out there that are owned by experienced people that have a high skill level in their profession,hire experienced employees, take pride in their work and keep their environments CLEANER to protect their finished product, but Morgan Hill Tint World is not one of those my friends. There are other specialty shops that provide warranties that have been around longer than Tint World in Morgan Hill that you should explore. Not naming names,but very close by Tint world on Tennant is a way better shop that does everything Tint World does, but way better and they have been in business for like 18 years.
