Good for Mid-Market. Premium Buyers, Beware. I was swayed too heavily by the reviews. Tint Tech did the work well enough, and from what the chatbots told me, the price was fair. But overall I paid too much to be mildly to moderately inconvenienced and met with dishonesty and deflection. Pros + Did a real consultation. Gave me a great deal of knowledge and valuable professional input to scope my purchase before locking in. + Finished the tint job + Waiting room so you could work remotely while the car work gets done + Fast quoting and easy appointment scheduling Cons - Made me wait beyond my appointment time ~10 min - Started the convo with the idea that he's tryna be "fast" to pick up his kid from school. Totally fine, and arguably you pay an expert for their speed COMBINED with quality. In context it should have been a red flag, because... - Caused me inconvenience. At this price point, left some room to desire in the service department. Let me explain: 1. The Sunroof We forgot to talk about the sunroof. 50/50 blame on me and him. I came in quoting a full tint and I forgot about the sunroof. Wasn't until I was there and he was nearly done with all windows did I realize it was even a service option. I asked. He could do it, but at a different time. As in I would have to make a separate later appointment, fit that round trip into my life for a 5-10 min tint. Not ideal. Yeh, it's my bad. My car!!! I should have remembered and asked!!!! However, you would think someone who is tinting for a living would have tabs on the sunroof as an upsell. Especially with a purchaser that is willing to spend a large amount up front to get the tint done right, and took it specifically to you for that reason. I'd even take most of the blame honestly, maybe 75/25. But, given the "I'm in a rush to pick up my kid" tone set from the start, I can't help but feel like if I had gone somewhere else, somewhere that wasn't in a rush to finish my job, I could have been able to add the sunroof on last minute, then and there and gotten it over with. Yes, completely hypothetical. However, for this price point, I would expect some acknowledgment of this service compromise and a follow-up slight discounted rate to get the sunroof tinted, like the last 3% of the car. Like as a gesture of goodwill, for long-term customer relationship. But nope. New appointment, full price, even though it "would be fast." My fault though. 2. The A Pillar Clip My A pillar top clip broke after this appointment. Tint Tech's official response is that it had been tampered with prior to them working my glass, and when it fell off during the appointment, they had pushed it back in to finish the tint job. Here are the verifiable facts for you to decide: A. I had bought the car new to me in February B. I only had 1 trusted professional work on my car and never had any issues since acquisition in February. C. I had Tint Tech complete my tint work this May. D. Subsequent to the tint work, the A pillar trim fell out. E. I reported this to Tint Tech. F. Tint Tech responded quickly. Tells me that the A pillar had already been compromised. Advised me to "just push it back in" G. Today, the day I'm writing this review, I just got back from my guy. Took it to a trusted professional to get a 2nd opinion. I'm a you-know-what and so you can't be too careful when it comes to airbags and safety, right? Anyway, he stopped his work and looked at it for me, for free. The diagnostic is that the top pillar clip is broken. As is common for when folks that aren't used to trim work trying to work around trim. Good news, the bottom clips are fine and just fell off, so my car retains like 99.97% of its market value, and for the most part, will stay put after correct re-seating of the lower clips. The kicker, to fix the top clip I would need to source an OEM Honda top pillar clip. Did I point out that I had to wake up early today and make the time for this on my weekend? Maybe it would have been appreciated to have been told that the pillar fell out during the job. While I was there. So it could be on my radar. Instead of having it disclosed to me after all the work was done, after it fell out again, and after I had to ask about it. Tint Tech will probably stand by this statement of prior tampering, but I wasn't born yesterday. I know how deflection works; I know that someone had been in a rush to get the job done to close up shop and pick up their kid; and I know that I value honesty and consistent transparency, not just at the start. I got what I paid for technically, but the service layer failed me. read more

Found Tint Tech through Yelp. I was doing a bit of research of where to take my new Camry to get a good tint job. In the end, opted with Tint Tech based on the best cost, easy communication, and ease of scheduling. Ti was responsive via text. In the beginning, I thought I wanted the legal percentage in the front (70%) and maybe 25% in the back. Ti convinced me to push it to 50% in the front, and ended up getting 15% in the back. Like my brother mentioned to me before, you don't want to regret going too light. I got the 3M ceramic IR tint $725 for side windows, rear windows, and full front windshield. Huge plus also that he takes card. He might offer a cash discount, but I didn't ask. I dropped the car off in the morning. He mentioned it would be done in 3 hours ish and he would shoot me a text or call. I ended up calling in to check if the car was ready, and he said it was and he got busy and forgot to call. So be sure to check in with him around the time of the quote since it could be done earlier! It has been ~2 months now and I am very happy with the tint percentages and the work Ti did. For reference, I don't have vision problems (no contacts/glasses). 15% in the back at night, you will likely only be able to see the car with headlights, and a faint outline out of your rear view mirror. So for folks with vision issues, I would recommend going a bit lighter if you're worried.
