After the lift was complete I had it towed to an off-road shop in Ronkonkoma to do the 4 wheel alignment. After looking around the owner spotted issue after issue with things that Tint World failed to do. He found missing nuts and bolts, missing crush sleeves, the rear track bar bracket was on backwards, there was a broken inner welded but for the skid plate that now has to be removed and repaired, the bump stops weren't installed correctly, and the list goes on. The job should've only taken 8 hours or a day and a half and this crap work took Tint World 2 weeks!! You'd think after two weeks they would know what the heck they were doing. Tint World is pathetic at suspension work!! Unfortunately I trusted my expensive lift to a shop that had no business doing any suspension work. They charged me $1000 for crap work! After talking to the owner of the off-road shop, he told me the owner of Tint World calls him often to do suspension work on his personal trucks because he doesn't feel comfortable with his own guys doing the work. Tony, Kurt, Anthony, Tim & Tony were pleasant to deal with. The showroom was clean with a waiting room that had a large screen TV and a coffee station. The work took three and a half hours to complete. I spent $108.00 for a Group-On coupon to cover the installation of an electronic ignition. I also was quoted, both telephonically and in the office, an additional $75.00 fee for the installation of an add-on electronic lock on-off system. i expected to pay about $81.50, including the tax (since I'd already paid for the electronic ignition via Group-on). Instead, the first bill that I was presented with after the fact amounted to $271.75. Even when the adjustment for the previous Group-On payment was made, I only received a $65.56 credit for the $108.00 I paid out previously for the ignition service on Group-On. The explanation I received from Tony was that Group-On only pays a percentage of the fee to the vendor. I have never had that experience with Group-On. The adjusted amount that I paid was $206.20, or $124.70 more than I anticipated or was verbally quoted, both telephonically or in the office. $65.55 was removed from my original quote, only a small fraction (e,g,, slightly more than half) of what I paid for the Group-On coupon. As far as I can determine, the quality of the work is good. My suggestion: Do not allow any work to proceed without a full, written estimate, in order to avoid any misunderstanding and the appearance of being overcharged for goods and services rendered. read more

I have a Cadillac CTS with two damaged rims that nobody would repair or give me the time of day. Each rim new would have cost me $750 each new. My lease was almost up. I was real upset I was going to have to spend $1500. So I called Tint world and spoke to Kurt. He told me to come right on down. I did and let me tell you, one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Made me feel right at home with the customer service they offered. He had someone drive me home while they repaired both rims, and then had someone from Tint world pick me up. Talk about door to door service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Since then I have taken my wife's Denali to Tint World for a remote start, window tints, Rims & tires. My brother just had his brakes and alignment done there to. No other shop even Compares to this place. I mean where else could you go for engine repair, or tranny repair, a full service shop ,a full collision shop, and to top it off a Car Stereo Shop with all the goodies you could ever want or have. The owner is a hands on guy who is very involved with his customers satisfaction.. I couldn't have had a better experience. These other small time businesses like Sound Trax, Savage , Avenue sound , and my worst experience of all Jazz audio ---- Stay Away. Rip off Central. Could never Compare to Tint World. When the installation took place we needs to purchase an additional part for another $100 and then had $40 of "shop fees" added to our bill. Not surprisingly, that added up to the price of the install without any groupon deal. My wife was told the wait would be one hour, it was two and a half and the person behind the counter was rude to her. The store is gross. One of our two remote starters only works from about 10 feet away. I called and spoke to an employee about the trouble, and he told me they never have complaints about their service. I then read him other Yelp reviews from dissatisfied customers. He responded by telling me that just because people go online to complain about a store doesn't mean the complaints are true. I have had this project jeep cj that I have been working on forever (or so it seems) I made a vow to do all the work myself...however after getting a new job I just don't have the time so I did my research on all the places that do custom work and came across this place....at first I didn't really pay attention because I thought all they did was tinting...however I stopped in one day and talked to one of the guys because I saw a bunch of jeeps out front (forgive me I can't remember his name) After chatting for a little while I was made aware that They are far from just a window tinting place. They do it ALL! So I dropped my baby off there and let them finish a few things that would allow me to be topless for the summer! (some wiring and some mechanical work) They went above and beyond and I hate to admit it but the work they did was better than if I did it myself. After the fall I'll be dropping my Cj jeep off to get completely restored top to bottom for them over the winter! Thanks again guys you earned a customer for life! read more

I was on facebook and "tintworld" came up as a paid advertisement I had never heard of them before so I checked them out and liked what I saw on facebook so I went to the store because I wanted my civic lowered and I wanted to look at my wheel options (I had been to other places wont name any names and they don't want to work with you at all they just ask you what you want and don't give you any options) So I talked to Kurt and we discussed my options for my suspension...then I mentioned wheels. He was very knowledgeable and showed me on their computer all my choices So I set up an appointment for when I could drop my car off and the suspension parts and wheels/tires would come in roughly a week later. So I dropped my car off before they opened and had a call by lunch that it was done! (thanks for texting me the pics Kurt!!) Very Very happy with everything. Its been done for about two weeks now and I have had 0 problems whatsoever. I will be returning to them for a few more things. read more

I originally went to Tint World to have the windows on my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix tinted. I went for the Ultimate package. They did a fantastic job! With their lifetime warranty, any issue I may have in the distant future (e.g. bubbles or peeling), they will either repair or replace FREE!! I've been wanting to give my car an upgrade for some time now. So far I've had HED headlights installed...along with a headlight restoration, and a new car stereo (Jensen VX7020 ,,,exellent choice for anyone who wants a total package: SiriusXM, GPS, Bluetooth, AUX for you iPod, CD/DVD player, etc). The staff does their best to make you feel comfortable, and keep you informed on the progress of the work being done to your car. But I should warn you...if you love your car and are planning on giving it an upgrade..you can EASILY go broke with all the options they have at their store. I would HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone who wants to give their car (old or new) a lil TLC. read more

Had these folks do some vinyl stripes and a tint on a Mustang. Was a little reluctant at first but there didn't find many places locally to do what I needed. I had a specific stripe design in mind and they had no problem reproducing the picture I sent them exactly on the car using Avery vinyl. The alignment looks great compared to some other places I looked with a few minor wobbles if you look really hard for them. Tint job looks great, just a tiny bubble in a corner on the back window that will probably work itself out in time (can only see it from the outside looking down anyway). My only quibble is that the vehicle needs to be dried better after it's washed since there were some tough water streaks running down the sides that I had to buff out with a foam detailing pad. Looks fantastic though, everything came out great, and Kurt and his staff were friendly, easy to deal with, and were confident in their ability to do the job. read more

First, I like to say that I am a 45 year old car guy who is very particular when it comes to my cars. I also own an automotive related business and know first hand what it means to provide excellent customer service in order to have repeat business and referrals. I had my Escalade aligned at Tint World and was very satisfied with their work and service. I've read plenty of negative reviews but my personal experience was quite the opposite. I give credit where credit is due. I called Grace to set an appointment and she was very courteous and professional over the phone. When I showed up, both Grace and Tony were more than friendly and professional and helped me right away. I waited for the work and it was completed in a timely manner. I have to tell everyone who reads Yelp. I have 3 vehicles that have all been serviced or upgraded by Tint World. I have only received the best service whenever I've been there. Not only has the service exceeded my expectations but the price was more than reasonable. Tint World is the only shop that will ever work on my vehicles. Buyer beware!!! I did not had a great experience at this place, I would not recommend and definitely would not go back. I had my car windows tinted. I spent a total of 8 hours in this place for Windows tinting. On my first trip the installed and took them four hours and they did such a poor job on the installation. There were bubbles everywhere, they told me it was going to take a week for them to dissipate and they didn't. No only there were bubbles but also dirt and lint all over; so I went back for my second time and they fixed it and that was another 4 hours when they should of done it right on the first time. The service is really poor and very overpriced for shitty jobs. They said that they were going to give me a discount on my bill and they process it for the full amount and they submitted a refund and they never did.
