Got my Ranger Raptor tinted with XPEL XR Plus at Tint World in San Diego on Miramar Rd. Clean install with no issues. Staff was awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. Did my research on the best tint and compared notes with what I learned and what they knew and was confident I made the best decision. They were able to book my appointment on short notice, which helped a ton with my busy schedule. The Xpel XR plus (ultimate) looks great and you can feel the difference with the IR/TSER heat rejection and clear visibility. Worth every penny!!! No longer have to roll around feeling like I'm in a fish bowl. All in all, can only recommend the Xpel XR Plus and highly recommend the crew at Tint World Miramar. Thanks to them I'm stoked on the looks and performance of the tint.

So they saved my wallet and saved me from a migraine. I went to the other tint world in El Cajon and they ripped the top part of my windshield tint. I had an appointment to fix it and they kept moving me. Evidently they ended up closing the shop. So I contacted Tint world Miramar and they were gonna end up charging me the whole price to re-do the windshield tint, but when I explained the situation they realized they needed to fix what had happened. They didn't charge me a cent and redid the whole thing and made it darker with no charge. Definitely going to come back again and finish tinting the whole car. It looks amazing and I'm glad they heard me out and gave me exquisite customer service. read more

I got my last car tinted here and the tint held up beautifully. Since I had such a good experience last time, I decided to get my new car tinted here (Miramar location). The car is brand new and when the dealership was detailing the car for me to take home, they must have sprayed Armor All haphazardly on the back seats and got it on my back window. The guys at Tint World had to reapply the tint on the back window twice, for a total of three times before the tint wouldn't come away from the glass around the edges. After some automotive degreaser and patience, 3rd time's a charm! I really appreciate how accommodating and persistent Jimmy and the guys were with making sure I left with an awesome tint job with no problems. Mine was a unique problem that they found the answer to instead of just saying, "sorry, we don't know how to fix it," and sending me on my way. I would definitely recommend Jimmy and Tint World to those who want a great tint job that will withstand the test of time and top tier customer service. Also, keep Armor All away from your windows! read more

Great quality work. Ask for Jimmy he will hook you up and give you an honest opinion on different options and grades- he knows his stuff! Tip: make an appointment and come early to avoid long waiting. There is a Better Buzz coffee shop about a 20 min walk. Put on a good podcast and get those steps in! I've brought 5-6 cars here over the years and never had an issue with the tint! Pricing is always fair and hasn't gone up either. read more

**UPDATE: This is our fourth car getting tinted by Tint World. We miss the days when Melissa or Jay explains the window tinting process. Recently jimmy was the one who assisted us at the front desk, and he is over hype, opinionated, and his customer service sucks. Thankfully we were helped out by Oscar and he was thorough in explaining the situation with our car, giving us time to make a decision, 5 STARS FOR OSCAR!!! Was shopping around for a while before pulling the trigger and going with them.. also went to the San Marcos location with the same name, but didn't felt like the customer service received was as great as this one. Their pricing is way better and their quality of their workmanship is impeccable! Couldn't be more happier with the tinting service received. This is the place where you will get a quality tint job or if you want to further customize the look of your car, they do excellent wrap jobs. Jay and the team are efficient and take customer requests and wishes seriously. The tint process is done in a very timely matter , there are multiple people working in a shop. My tint finished in one hour. There are multiple films to choose from and you can see the samples in the shop before you decide on the tint shade/darkness level. My current car had a lot of chrome accents all over (Acura) and i wanted to remove it all (black it out) and guys at Tint World did an excellent work, I'm truly impressed with the quality and the finished result (see the pictures of white Acura SUV). Customer service and customer satisfaction are top factors at this shop. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Came in here a few months ago to have the windows on my car tinted. I wanted to wait a couple months before writing this review to give the tint time to settle in even though i was told it only takes a week. Anyways, I went with the supreme package for $230. Wait time was around 2.5hr. The work done on my car is not flawless but its also not a crappy job. I'll say its 8 out of 10 in my opinion. There's no visible bubbles or anything but my only complaint is on the driver side window, theres a couple hair line marks thats about half an inches long on there. It looks like air bubbles but in a line instead of little circle bubbles You cant really see it unless i pointed it out or unless you look at it very carefully. Also while they were doing this, i guess my car battery took a crap and they had to jump start it. Wish they would have mention this to me though because its not like i wouldnt know. As soon as i got back inside my car i knew right away that the battery died and they had to jump it because all my current sittings on the car before was out of place. Oh and while they were in the back tinting my windows there was 2 other customers ahead of me that were getting their car windows tinted and those 2 customers were in the back room watching the tint guy put the tint on and when i went back there to check on my car to see the progress and after i came back to the waiting room. One of the employee followed me to the waiting room and then shut the door going to the back room and then he gave me a look like i wasnt suppose to be back there but the other 2 customers were chilling back there with no issues at all, i just thought that was kinda weird. I guess that's probably the time when they jump start my car and he didnt want me to see it or know about it. Also when they got done with the tint they also use some chemical in a spray bottle to wipe down the windows and my car has those chrome trim moldings below the windows, well the stuff they used to clean the windows was all over the chrome trim. Wish they would have done a better job at cleaning it! Overall, this place is not the best nor is it the worst. I'll probably wont return for future tint jobs though. read more

Ok, "wow" barely scratches the surface of how impressed I am with Tint World. I'd checked out reviews of different stereo places here on Yelp and had called a few. I was worried at first since there are some bad reviews on audio install from this place. But after talking on the phone with Jay, I found out that they had a recent change of ownership and new staffing so I can't go off the previous reviews. Jay was so patient and honest in answering all my questions. After half an hour on the phone, I know that THIS is who I want to work on my car. I know nothing at all about speakers or stereos. I just wanted something that sounded really good and needed someone to guide me through that process without trying to up-sell me. The technician there totally knows his stuff and selected a great system for me. So now comes the above and beyond part - a) the new rear speakers wouldn't fit under the old covers. Byran (the audio technician) popped out an alternative cover and asked what I thought. It was hideous and I began to feel a sinking feeling, like oh, in order to get my new speakers it's going to change the original aesthetic and be kind of an eyesore. Most stereo places would've probably been like "sorry man, that's just the way it is." Bryan, however, went into his shop and a short while later came out with custom covers he built to house my speakers that completely rocked! Surprisingly they even looked better than my original speaker covers. Awesome! b) After everything was installed, Bryan actually sat down and showed me how to use my new stereo. And c) After all this, I mentioned that I'd really like to find someone to remove a large, ancient 80's/early 90's car phone cradle from the passenger side of my car. In a quick few minutes Bryan had completely removed it. I feel like one of those "Wait, wait, but there's more" infomercials, but really that's what my experience was like. He didn't even charge me for the extra stuff like the custom covers or removing that relic from my car. And lastly, my new stereo system - I LOVE IT!!!!! I am so happy I took my car here and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Simply awesome service! read more

Had pretty bad experience here with both customer service and the job they did. I got my windows tinted and had some issues. Although they have some great reviews on Yelp, I question the authenticity of these reviews. I spoke to the owner or the manager but they would not own up to there mistake. From reading some of the negative reviews, it looks like on any negative reviews, the owner or the person responding continues to put the blame back on the customer and not own up to what ever they did or didn't do. This is typical of any small business owner that are not taking the customer feedback professionally and just responds on yelp with a snark comment or remark stating they did a great job but it was the customer. Very defensive in these responses to the yelp reviews, almost comical and can see the immaturity of the owner. Some of these 5 star reviews were probably written by the owner or there family members. it also seems like the staff are not happy there, most likely do to bad management and leadership. There are so many tint places in San Diego to choose from and they all offer similar warranty and prices. Again, based on the management here, stay away. I dont blame the staff for not being happy and disliking there manager. I'm sure the owner will respond to this with some remark of how great his customer service is and stating "look at all the other 5 star reviews".. Typical little business with an unhappy owner that is trying to hold on to whatever time that business has got left. Sad. I'm sure the owner will say something silly in response to this review. My point of them not taking ownership of mistakes will be proven by the defensive response to this review by the owner. This place is really bad. Just be aware. read more

This is a belated review. I have been coming to Tint World for the last few years and had various services done to my car. My experience to date has been nothing short of phenomenal. Could not be happier! This is how a business should run. Scott answered all of my questions from the email quote and made an appt. I have been to numerous car shops in the past and this place defiantly stand apart from the rest. The shop is very clean, organized and a nice waiting room with Wi-Fi, PS4 and movies. The workers here are TRUE PROFESSIONALS!! They started on my car as soon as I showed up. Based on Scott's recommendations and my needs, I went with their ceramic tint 35% all the way around and 55% front windshield, 35% reflective on the sunroof and 5% visor strip. The outcome was amazing, it still shows my light tan interior without looking too dark or "ghetto." The ceramic tint really helps out with the heat. Now I am driving on the highway and no longer bother by the sun. If i roll down my driver window half way and the sun hits my arm, I feel the instant burning sensation and as soon as I roll my window back up, it blocks it. This stuff really works. I am not sure how good is their other tint material, but I love my ceramic tint. Since then, I went back for HID headlights and fog lights, LED interiors and LED license plate bulbs, Clear bra on the front end of my car and sound system installed. Scott is upfront and honest on all his recommendation, he does not try to sell things I don't need and all the work has been flawless. So I got my 2013 M3 tinted here: 18 in the front and 5 in the back ...and i gotta say I LOVE IT!!! i mean for the price of the film and the quality of the tint i was amazed! I was kind of upset right after i got it done because there were bubbles in it....they told me it would go way in 3-5 days...at first i thought they were just trying to get me out of the shop....they also told me if it rained or if its been cold wait longer an extra couple of days just to be sure....so of course I waited two weeks lol...its been cold so i've been sitting it outside where the sun could get to it while i was working and within a week, the bubbles cleared up! I'm definitely coming back to get other work done on my car... I also got my car detailed after the recent rain...and I thought the detailer Craig was great...I got an interior/exterior detail package on my car because when i went home for Christmas, my nieces and nephews got my car really dirty with their christmas candy lol.... and they told me that paint sealant is better for my car and i won't have to wax it for a year...so i got the paint sealant done and i also got leather conditioner in my car and the car smells great, looks great just the same condition as when i bought it in december! It came back to me brand new...i never got scratches, nicks, dents, from them...they put car freshener in my car and sealant on my tired and rims.... Another more-than-satisfied customer. I called today about bringing my Prius in, and Scott told me they could take care of me today. He also told me that he'd walk me through all the different kinds of film they sell, show me demos inside and outside, and help me zero in on the right fit for my needs. When I got there, that's exactly what he did--no hardselling, no trying to convince me to get other work or stuff installed beyond what I wanted. EXTREMELY knowledgeable about product, and offered lots of helpful advice. I went in interested in getting the Suntek CIR Ceramic to help keep the car cool in Sunny San Diego, and that's what I ended up doing--but not until Scott had explained to me the potential benefits of going a cheaper route (darker for better privacy, etc.) It might not seem like a big deal, but it's so rare to have someone stressing cheaper options to you, I feel I have to make a point of it. It genuinely seemed like they wanted me to make the best choice for me, not milk as much money out of me as they could. They did a fantastic job--not to mention had me in-and-out in a lot faster than I expected from stories I'd heard about other shops installing the same film. I'd have no problem whatsoever recommending them to any friends and family, or to anyone else, for that matter. At first, i thought the price was a little steep...i mean you can get some tint out there for 120 on your whole car!!! but once i stepped in the shop, i knew it was the right place. I was greeted by a nice woman Susan who carefully explained to me the different tint choices for my car....then i was expalined the different tint qualities and how some shops out there offer "lifetime warranty" on stuff like "Sun Guard" which is the worst of the worst!! I had Sun Guard tint removed from my car because it was peeling and turning purple....and the shop that had put them on said that they don't use that tint anymore so they can't "honor the warranty"....BULL!!!! well anyways, the Store manager Jay told me they recently changed ownership and the tinter and audio guys were replaced. I have to say the tinter did an AMAZING JOB!!! He was fast and he's been tinting for 25 years so definitely in good hands. I also got my car detailed after the tint and the guy was great too! My car was like brand new and that nasty vomit smell was gone...... i'm definitely coming back to get a system on my car and i would recommend this place to anybody that needed car stuff done...yea its a bit more expensive than other places out there..but the customer service and value was great....for what i was paying and the service i got ....it was definitely worth it....and i know they're going to help me out no matter what!!! read more

I drove by and stopped for a quote on side and rear window tint for my X5. Was blown away by Scott dropping what he was doing to give me a quick quote. The quote was less than half the price of what I expected it would be. Professional and clean shop too. Before I could bring it in, the window regulator broke and I wanted to bring just the glass in and Scott politely explained that due to the laser measuring and pre-cutting of the film, it's a lot easier for them to do it with the glass in the car. Considering the situation I decided to attempt the tint myself and asked Scott if he would sell me some tint film to which he agreed and so he immediately walked to the back and asked his guys to cut some film. We haven't agreed to a price yet and when Scott handed me the film he didn't want to accept any payment for it. Two experiences with this shop and absolutely blown away by them. Part of me wants to mess up the tint so I can go back and give them my business. Scott, you set an impossibly high standard for other shops to follow and may your business grow beyond your wildest imagination. Thank you! P.s. I'll start put with this place is amazing. They offered me everything from not only window tinting, but also stereo instalation, details, and even stripe packages and car wraps. They designed a custom sticker for my 2001 Camaro that turned out great. They because nted my windows a few months ago and I haven't had a single problem with them since. They even gave me a lifetime warranty on my tinting. They also recently did a custom stereo instalation for me that turned out amazing. It's unlike any other Camaro I've ever seen. They gave me an amazing deal on the custom boxes and amp mount and did a top quality install. I stopped by to take a look at it because I'm very protective of my camaro. They had the whole interior disassembled so that they could wire it correctly and not just try to tuck the wires under the plastic. When I got my car back later the same day, You couldn't even tell that it had been taken apart. It sounds great. They had me come back after a few weeks so that they could tune the amps to make a better sound once the speakers had broken in free of charge! I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone that wants top quality sound and great garunteed work. I brought my 2016 BMW M3 here because Tint World was highly recommended from the BMW forum I went on their website to learn about the different options for window tint and paint protection package. Their website seems legit and very informative on different tint materials as well as different packages for clear bra. I decided to go with the ultimate tint and the supreme clear bra package. After schedule the appointment, I drop my car off on a Saturday at 8:00am. I was told the vehicle would be ready by the end of day and around 3pm, we got a call from Scott that the car was ready. Under promise and over deliver, so far so good. When we arrived, my car was park outside of the showroom and was wash and detailed after they applied the tint and paint protection film. Besides the amazing customer service, the work quality exceeded my expectation. The film were applied so well I could not see the edges. Talk to Scott, he gave me a great package deal, the prices are much better than other places and one other thing to consider is they are a national franchise so you will have lifetime warranty even if you move to other city or state. Recently I have had my windows done on a classic vehicle that I own and these guys did a great job. They were able to do the installation in a vintage vehicle without any issues. I am very particular about the work done on my vehicles and Joe and his team did a flawless job. While there waiting in the showroom, which features incredible displays with the latest electronics you could purchase and have installed in your car, I discussed possibly incorporating a system into my vehicle, one that would give me some modern convieniences like bluetooth, navigation and cd player, although I was very apprehensive not to cut up or ruin my vehicle. I ended up returning the following month and having his team do the installation of the system. One would never know I had such a modern system concealed in the car. The did new speakers also and left the interior looking totally original! The system sounds fantastic and everything operates as was intended. I will definitely return with any other electronics or tint projects I may ened in the future and will definitly recommend them to other members of the classic automobile clubs I belong to. read more

Scott the Owner/Manager was right there and welcomed me right away. This is one of the best shops I have ever been to. Scott helped me figure out what was best for my new car. I got tint done for my car, an intake and now I will be going back to do my headlights and taillights. I came here because of a referral form a friend. Some of the bad reviews that I saw were very confusing. Out of the 300 reviews on here only a couple were bad. Usually fake reviews or pissed off customers because there are dumb. This shop has always helped me out with my questions when every other shop would just refer me to someone else or the dealer. On top of that he always gave me an amazing price and always had me in quick without an appointment. Many shops would say come down sometime next week when I clearly wanted my windows tinted ASAP. After calling shop after shop around San Diego County, this place was the MOST REASONABLE.. I must admit the quote was so reasonable, I thought it might of been fraudulent.. So I allowed them to tint my 2007 Honda CRV first "just in-case". The craftsman who tinted my windows that day was Carlos...and he did an AWESOME...AWESOME...AWESOME JOB!!.. The owner(Joe Earron) quoted me a 2hr lay over but Carlos finished the work in just over 1hr. 3 days later my windows were dry and in normal working condition. Their shop is NEAT and CLEAN.. And they truly stand behind their work... I have a 2005 BMW 5 Series, 2006 Chevy Avalanche, 2007 Honda CRV, 2008 Infiniti EX35..All with 15% Premium Carbon Tint... Done by the Tint World Crew. I was here sometime last week getting my car tinted with my son. They were super fast....got my back windows removed at 75 an hour and tinted the whole car for 210. Its a bit on the pricey side but the work was done fast and good. Its been almost a week and looks fantastic. I did feel bad for the front desk girl. Some customer was yelling at her and said some mean things to ger. He was complaining about a quote he had got from this place months ago and the girl asked politely if he had the quote and he screamed at her "no I don't what are you, my mother"...this guy was probably the same age as me...it was immature and I had to take my son out the store because he was so rude. After that ordeal, the front desk girl politely helped me and my son. I could see tears in her eyes but she just smiled. I give 4 stars because its a but expensive for price. I give 5 stars for efficiency I give the girl 10 stars for dealing with the rude customer I'll be coming back to get wife's car tinted. Running business is hard, keep yur head up! read more

i'm super impressed with the service here..i mean seriously they helped me out so much... i called them cuz i got my tint here in august of 2012....and i love it i mean the tint looks awesome and they did an awesome job...but i moved out of sd recently so the tint laws here are different....i needed to know what my back windows were cuz its only 35% here...so i called them and asked... i gave them a call after hours and they still picked up and then the girl totally understood and tried looking me up in the computer...but since they changed ownership it wasn't in there so she took down my name and number and said she'd call me back... haha i didn't think she would but 30 min later she called and said she looked through some old boxed and found my info!! she even went online and looked for a tintworld close to me so i can get it serviced by them....i mean thats awesome! the customer service here is AMAZING...and starting from August till now,.,..can't believe it...so sad to leave you guys! read more

From my sister: I wrote in an earlier post about some issues and problems I experienced after receiving my car back from this Tint World Shop. An update on the situation: The Tint World corporation has taken great care to assure that I was properly compensated for the issues I had, which was very much appreciated. President of Tint World Paul Pirro and Vice President John Marsh both went through extensive lengths to assure my continued satisfaction as a customer. John has been instrumental in helping me get my car fixed in a new Tint World location and treated me with respect, showing they truly care about their customers and making sure they are happy. I very much endorse the way the Tint World Corporation - and their executive team - assured customer satisfaction, even after service at this shop was not executed well. Actions speak louder than words. The executives did the right thing, and management could take a lesson or two from their leadership. read more

I called around looking for the best deal on getting car windows tinted and these guys offer the best prices. This was for my daughter's car. She just bought the car and it has leather seats and a leather dash and I saw a show on TV where they said getting your windows tinted is a good way to protect the sun's rays from cracking and damaging leather seats. I also have to keep out of the sun as much as posible, the my daughter drives me to appointments in Los Angeles, so having her car tinted was a great move for my health. We were greeted with a friendly, professional staff of people and Jay the owner was great! These guys did an amazing job and we saved money by coming here. While waiting a lady was thanking them for doing a good detailing job on her car. Seems like these guys are good at doing it all! read more
