**One of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had at an auto shop -- or any business.** I came in to have a dash cam hard-wired, and although the price seemed fair at first, the workmanship and customer service were not. When I got home, I discovered the dash cam wasn't recording in parking mode. After looking closer, the constant-power line had been connected to the electrical exhaust flap, a circuit that only provides power when the driver is present in the vehicle. I returned the following week for them to correct the installation. What should have been a simple fix turned into a three-hour ordeal. They repeatedly ignored the manufacturer's instructions, connected the kit to low-amp, critical circuits, and selected incorrectly rated fuses even after I pointed these issues out on multiple occasions. Ultimately, I got so frustrated, that I ended up wiring the ACC cable myself in the shop, because the polarity was still reversed when they handed over the car. After an emotional discussion with the owner on the phone a few days later, the owner agreed to provide a partial refund. I drove to the shop after the phone call to pick up the refund, but when I arrived, he refused to honor it - instead the owner yelled at me and told me to leave his store. Overall, this experience was a major headache and a significant waste of time and energy. With the way this job was handled from start to finish, and how poorly the owner handled my complaint & refund, I can confidently say I won't be returning. read more

First of all I want to give a big Thank You to Emad and his crew for a great experience at Platinum Car Audio. Went in a for a dash cam install but when I got home the rear camera was not working. Called Emad and came in a few days later for him to check what was going on. He assured me that he will find out what's going on and fix it. And he did after a bit of investigation and perseverance he found the faulty cable on the dash cam. Instead of taking it off returning the DC to the manufacturer he had another cable that he was able to use and fix the issue.
