First off--sorry Theo and Arturo. I dropped the ball and never left a review for all the great work you've done on my vehicles over the years. These guys are true craftsmen. They've handled front PPF, full vinyl wraps, ceramic coatings, and tint on multiple cars for me, always with outstanding attention to detail and very fair pricing for the quality of work delivered. I've gone elsewhere before and paid more, only to get inferior results. That's exactly why Monumental Workx has become my go-to. I recently purchased a 2026 Model Y Performance and initially planned for front-end PPF, a few high-impact areas, ceramic coating, and tint. I reached out to Theo through his website, did my usual due diligence with other shops, but already knew I'd likely end up back at Monumental Workx. They're not the cheapest--and they don't try to be. Quality isn't cheap, and if you want it done right, this is the place. I scheduled my appointment shortly after delivery, but ended up calling Theo the same day I took delivery to see if I could bring the car in immediately. He responded quickly and got me in right away. Once there, Arturo walked me through the options and made a great point: patchwork PPF wouldn't look as clean as a full-body PPF for only a bit more money. After thinking it over, I realized he was absolutely right--and I'm very glad I listened. Originally, I was going to go with gloss PPF, but overnight I changed my mind and decided (with my wife) to switch to stealth PPF. Thankfully, I caught them early enough, and they were super responsive in accommodating the change. I couldn't be happier with that decision--the car looks incredible, and it was worth every penny. One thing that really shows their level of care: during the PPF install, they discovered a hidden manufacturing defect in my spoiler. I would have never noticed it myself, and most shops probably wouldn't have said anything. But Arturo pointed it out immediately so I could get Tesla to replace it. Even better, once Tesla provided the replacement spoiler, Arturo personally installed it and made sure everything fit perfectly without compromising the PPF. It's in a business area with a private lot and street parking. I came on a weekend for a tint removal and re-tint and I was the only one there. This is my 3rd car tinted by Monumental Workx. I initially had prestige sprectra photosync in my previous car but this time I ended up going with Llumar formula one pinnacle. As always, Theo and Arturo are very professional. Further, since my X5M has full merino leather I was concerned about the leather door panel absorbing too much liquid and bubbling up. I voiced my concern to Theo and Arturo. So they went above and beyond in order to protect the leather. They ended up removing the door panel before tinting the windows to ensure the leather does not get exposed to any liquids. I know a lot of tint shops as well as so-called "high end" tint shops don't do this. I'd like to acknowledge Theo and Arturo for going beyond expectations! Had my model 3 tinted here years ago with photo sync. I'll have to dig for a photo later but it came out great. They were one of the small list of places that could do the rear window in one piece at the time. It was expensive but the worth it. Unfortunately some of the tint wrinkled up almost 5 years later. I don't believe it was due to how they installed as it all happened after year 4 and it was only the door windows. But regardless they honored the warranty and retinted the all the door windows for me which is all you can ask for in this situation so I'm not holding that against them it's actually a great positive. Sure its annoying taking extra time for me to get it back into the shop but it's good to have a company that will make things right. They have a waiting room with TV and a couch but I opted to get some work done while waiting and it was pretty quiet at the time so that worked out well for me. read more

I was greeted by Theo who gave me a rundown on the different tints and benefits available from numerous options. They also have a demo station to consider. No hard sell or pressure tactics. He said installation would be about an hour, which it was. The end result was FANTASTIC! They obviously know their trade. The film comes with a nationwide lifetime warranty. Their waiting room has chairs, a couch and a large screen TV. A wheelchair accessible entrance as well as two handicap parking spaces with a ramp are very close by. They also have a bathroom which can accommodate wheelchair needs. While I did not need the vehicle wrap or protective films, I understand they are also available here. Amazing tint shop. Recommended by my cousin, whose MBZ GLE was tinted nicely by them, I decided to give them a shot. Located in a small business plaza in San Diego right off the 805 freeway and parallel to Miramar Rd, it is not too difficult to find. Worked with Curtis, who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to accommodate my last minute schedule before my deployment, tinted my Model S with Spectra PhotoSync (over 60% heat rejection). If you want your Tesla tinted, and if you know the industry Tesla windows are much more difficult to tint due to the sizes, this is the place to go as they have probably tinted over thousands of Teslas. The film quality is definitely superior compared to other name brands; I have tried various films for my cars including XPel XR Plus, Huper Optiks ceramic, Llumar AIR, and Johnson InsulatIR. They are all great films but the heat rejection of Spectra is truly unparalleled. Not only is their work phenomenal, their prices are very fair (I asked 2 other dealers who quoted more for the same products). Theo and his crew are great! I reached out to him through the Yelp contact feature. I had a million questions and Theo was quick to respond and collaborate with me on different ideas and answering all my questions. Him being a Llumar Formula 1 authorized installer already told me that he was skilled, since very few shops are authorized to install the Formula 1 line (Stratos and Pinnacle). It was very easy to set up an appointment with him through messaging, and I was able to meet him on a Saturday when I dropped off the car and we spoke for a little while. He is very pleasant, down to earth, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. As a fellow veteran, I love to support veteran owned businesses, and just small businesses in general. I forgot to bring my wallet when picking up the beater (the BMW X2). Theo had stepped out but Arturo was very helpful and allowed me to pay through a payment app. That saved me from having to make a 30 mile round trip! The car came out looking fantastic. Flawless work. The last shop I took my car to, there was a sizeable gap between the top edge of the window and where the tint stopped. Most people would not care I think, but it drove me crazy. I relayed this concern to Theo over messaging and at the shop; and he assured that they get it very close to the edge, which they did. The shade he recommended for the two front windows (25% Pinnacle) matched perfectly with the rear factory privacy glass. He recommended a 70% Stratos for the windshield, which also looked awesome. I was worried that it would be hazy or darken the view out the front, but neither of those concerns were valid. I am waiting to get some blacked out badges that he will be installing on the weekend car. At that time, I will have the windshield, moonroof, and two front windows tinted by them. Incredible customer service! All of the gentlemen at the shop were so friendly & professional! I made an appointment to come in to get the SALEEN sticker on my front windshield replaced because the sticker was peeling at the edges due to the sun. I wish I got the name of the gentleman who worked on my car because he was fantastic! I was so, so nervous to get the sticker replaced, especially because my car is a specialty, but I did not want to drive all the way to SALEEN in Corona. So I got the sticker shipped to my home from SALEEN, did my research, found this place, & could not be happier! The gentleman was so kind, professional, informative, & placed my sticker on perfectly. Absolutely perfect! He estimated that my car would take an hour to do so I waited in their lobby. It was clean & during all of my interactions with the staff, everyone was wearing a mask. I hate being hot. Normally the solution is to turn on the AC to cool the car off. When the outside temp is 100F the inside of the car can get up to 140F. At these temps the AC is going to take alot of time to cool down the car. Window tint is a way to reduce the heat in the car. It's a numbers game. The more you spend on higher performance tint the more solar energy the tint rejects. The darker the tint within the tint line the more solar energy the tint rejects. I researched window tint on the internet and Photosync is the best at rejecting heat. Monumental Workx is the only authorized dealer in the city of San Diego. I contacted the owner Theo and he offered to tint my entire 2019 HR-V for $1000. A few years ago I had him tint my Honda Civic. 35% tint in the back kept the car fairly cool. 45% for the front windows was light enough I have not gotten a ticket. Photosync tint has done an excellent job keeping the car cool and I have not seen any fading after 2 years. I also tested 3M Crystalline 70% on my Civic windshield 6 years ago. At the time it was the highest performance tint rejecting 50% total solar energy. As the windshield is the largest piece of glass between the driver and the sun this did a good job keeping me cool. For the HR-V I chose 35% tint for the back 3 windows, 45% for the front windows, and 75% for the windshield. As before the tint was applied perfectly with no bubbles anywhere. Driving my newly tinted HR-V was refreshing. Fresh from the Honda dealer blinding glare and the summer heat made driving like being in the desert. With the Photosync tint it's like driving with sunglasses on and an umbrella keeping the heat at bay. I still see fine at night as the tint is pretty light but an added bonus is headlight glare is minimized. According to the specification of the Photosync 75% tint on the windshield it lets in 5% more visible light and has 8% more total solar energy rejection than the 3M Crystalline 70%. Driving in the summer heat it feels more than 8% cooler. With the AC on and all my windows tinted with Photosync I don't feel hot anymore. Next time I get a new car Monumental Workx will again be one of the first places I drive to. read more

We've been to some other tint places with less attention to detail, bubbles on the tint, etc. They are a Llumar formula one dealer which means they are the best of the best. They were one if only a few shops that were authorized to provide the Stratos tint (best ceramic heat rejection film that Llumar makes). It's pricey but perfect comparable (I think better) than 3M Crystalline. They gave me great advice. I tinted my Tesla model Y with 50% on the windshield and 30% all other windows per their recommendation and it came out great. We paid $950 for everything.
