Horrible staff. Mistreated my children. Didn't change diapers. Denied to eat. Then threaten me that…read morei can't post a review on Google or my social media or "I'll get in trouble". Last time I checked, we had freedom of speech in America. The owner, in my opinion, is allowing the director to run this once nice daycare into the ground. I wish I could post the pictures of how bad my baby's diaper rash was. They stole money that was given during covid (over 1k) from my account because she felt like it I guess. My baby got a black eye, that was so bad it lasted over 2 weeks. I was given 3 different answers to what happened. Then denied to see the camera footage. They are very unprofessional and they need Jesus because the evil hearts of the staff here is palpable. Please protect your babies. Pick another daycare. Oh yeah they took all my diapers too on my last day they must need them more than I do. A single mother. With 4 kids. Good luck with your karma.

DO NOT SEND YOUR PRECIOUS BABY HERE! I watched my immobile baby drop his bottle, and another…read more"crawling" baby picked it and began to drink it. The caregiver took it and gave it right back to my baby. It was NOT cleaned or sanitized. Now my baby has a sinus and ear infections, so I wonder how many times this action was done. They claimed my baby cried all day. So I started watching to see what may be going on, and I was angered by what I saw. Never did I see my son be put down for a nap. I watched my baby sit in one spot for 30 minutes playing with his hair (his cue that he is tired). Not one caregiver acknowledged him. He just sat there turning in their direction as they walked by him several times. I even observed another baby younger than mine laying in a bouncer for over two hours straight. These poor babies are ignored and neglected. There is no assisting these young ones to do anything besides sitting in one spot watching caregivers walk back and forth over top of them.

Ms. Vanessa has been an exceptional teacher for my child. Her ability to create a fun and engaging…read morelearning environment is truly remarkable. She has a unique way of making complex subjects accessible, which has led to incredible growth in my child's learning. In just two months, my child has mastered 22 sight words, learned basic math concepts, and even started picking up sentences and greetings in other languages! Her patience, creativity and genuine love for children are evident in everything she does. We are incredibly grateful for her positive impact in my kiddo's development and consider ourselves fortunate to have her as a teacher. Tender Years is truly lucky to have her!

We love Tender Years, my daughter started at the location in Hershey and we moved her to…read moreMechanicsburg since it was closer to home. The facility is newer and there is an indoor tree house which is really neat. Both places she has had great experiences as the teachers have been nice and very nurturing to my daughter. She has bonded with a lot of the other students and she is learning a lot. They do arts & crafts, teach sign language, teach spanish, dance, sing lots of songs, play outside on the playground and teach them letters, numbers, days of the week, months of the year and how to write their names. I feel good about leaving my daughter here during the week. I also like the Tadpole Ipad app they use to communicate and send photos and videos. Great place and would highly recommend as I visited a lot of other daycares in the area and was impressed with Tender Years.

The owner is rude and a liar. She would say that certain information had been communicated to us…read more"multiple times" and, upon reviewing all communications we had from her or anyone else at the school, nothing had been received in ANY of our email accounts. The staff turnover is insane because people don't want to work for her. At one point a teacher asked parents to please consider not sending in peanut butter products because one child was allergic (if you know anything about peanut allergies, even peanut residue in the air can cause BIG problems) and was yelled at by the owner that they could not ask that of the parents. The classrooms are constantly at or over capacity because of the inability to keep staff, and thankfully the former director did have the foresight to shut down one day because they legally did not have the help to be open. There were plenty of other times this probably should have happened too. I haven't felt like my child was truly safe at that school for a while and started looking for other options once the ones I felt did keep him safe left. Oh there was also the COVID scare where they did not enforce their own policy that parents had to wear a mask to drop off and pick up their child(ren) which resulted in said parent coming in direct contact with teachers while infected, but also resulted in said parent sending the child (in my son's room) to school while infected. There were also two teachers infected by other sources and that fact was NEVER officially communicates to parents. There is also the mandatory super camp activities that are NOT in the enrollment agreement and add an extra $200 one month to the cost of tuition. I would recommend that anyone with other options steers clear of this particular school. If you like the Goddard curriculum, try to enroll in one of the other ones in the area, as they do have a different owner. This is school does not live up to the standards I had heard about for YEARS for Goddard.

I called back this morning to set up an interview/walkthrough of the facility. This is how the call went: Brooke: good morning thank you for calling Goddard in Mechanicsburg, this is Brooke. Me: Good morning Brooke, how are you? Brooke: click... hung up the phone. I assume that maybe because my wife and I are military and our phones are out of state, maybe she thought I was a telemarketer. I call back and they let it go to voicemail. I left a very polite voicemail thanking Ashley for her time, and we will be enrolling our child in a different school.

Both are very easy to talk to about any issues that you may have or just chitchat about anything. They take the time to train the teachers the correct way. Sent my two boys here for a span of 3 months and do not have a single positive thing to say. The…read more"teachers" are all in it for a paycheck. In all the times I dropped off and picked up I never once saw a single one who ever seemed genuinely happy while interacting with a child. One teacher in my oldest sons room would actually borderline yell at some of the kids, I personally observed this on multiple occasions. One day during drop off she snapped a very rude remark in a much louder and harsher tone than normal conversation at my son because he attempted to get out some toys which they had already apparently cleaned up prior to his arrival. As he was supposed to know this? Through all the hot August days I would pick them up off the playground and they would be hot and sweated with no water bottles. The water bottle I packed would be empty back inside their cubbies in their rooms. I commented on it one day and a teacher replied "we'd be going back and forth to the bathroom constantly if everyone had water bottles". Apparently taking already potty trained kids to the bathroom is too much to ask? The icing on the cake which led to immediately withdrawing from the center was when my oldest son came home with a hand print on his arm. He was 4 and no longer napped, however the 4-5 year old classroom had a 2 hour nap time each afternoon where they expected him to sit and play quietly on a cot. For 2 whole hours. He struggled with this, as I'm sure most 4 year old boys would and they didn't want to put the effort into finding a solution. One day he came home and told me about how the teacher that day was mad at him for not being quiet during nap time so she grabbed his arm very hard and made him sit in a time out chair in the corner. When questioned she said she gently led him to another area. Gentle enough to leave a handprint, I guess..... We paid almost $1000/month for him to attend UGRO and they actually asked me to pack him a bag of quiet things to do during nap time so he wouldn't disrupt the other kids. Total lack of desire to foster kids development and growth. Do NOT waste your time looking at this facility. The director is kind and sweet and you will think it's a great place but do not be fooled. The staff are absolutely terrible and could care less about your child.
