I handed her a large amount of cash and she handed me the puppy. I asked for his registration papers and she said she left them at home and would mail them to me. A week later, no papers, so I called her. She had been real busy and didn't have time but would get right on it. Two weeks later, no papers, so I called again only to get another lame excuse. After a year of back and forth texts she never produced the papers, so I filed a suit against her. She has been hiding from the Constable who is trying to serve papers on her, but he swears he will eventually find her. There are others she has promised papers and did not provide them. I asked them to address a few normal puppy concerns like jumping and nipping which they did not do. Upon taking my dog home he showed absolutely no regard for any of the commands he was "taught." When I contacted Lara the blame was put on me. They said that I must be using the commands wrong. They offered for me to go back so they could reshow me how to command "properly." I did this and still no change. They said it was unreasonable to expect for my dog to be there for 2 weeks and be a newly trained dog. That it was my responsibility to train him the commands that they supposedly taught him. Well then what was my almost $2,000 for? I understand having to practice in order to keep up with them but this was far more than that. They were not interested in helping or finding a real remedy to the situation.

The entire experience was pleasant. I called, told them the puppy I was interested in, and drove down the next morning to take a look. The puppy was exactly as I'd expected it to be--cute, fluffy, healthy, and happy! I brought him home that morning. To address the concern of whether or not they are breeder: Jon and Jimmie used to breed Yorkies, but stopped several years ago. Now, they operate as a broker only. They sell Yorkies for longtime friends. I can not confirm to whether or not the puppies come from puppy mills, but what I can say is that our Yorkie was healthy, well cared for, well-marked, and adapted extremely well. Our puppy did have some hypoglycemia issues (common in these little babies). I was able to reach out to Jimmie by email, then phone, to discuss. While our puppy is just fine now, Jimmie was genuinely concerned and really helpful. She asked that I let her know if there are any systemic issues (i.e. liver shunt) found so that the dog's parents would not be bred again to prevent this genetic defect. Fortunately, no liver shunt was found.

My husband and I had a great experience boarding our male Rottweiler this weekend. It was not an…read moreissue that he is not neutered as it can be with some kennels. We also made our reservation last minute. They are very reasonably priced. I went ahead of time to take a quick tour of the facilities before taking my dog. Dawn, the owner, was super sweet and happily showed me their newly remodeled kennel. The kennel space for the dogs was adequate. The whole place was very clean and well-lit with no animal smell. The dogs spaces have doggie doors to their own outside space so they can go inside and out at their leisure. During the heat of the summer though they keep those locked so they are in the A/C. The dogs are let out at least 4 times a day and can be kept solitary or put with other dogs. They have a cat room and I saw a couple of birds there as well. We've also used the sister location, Best Friends Boarding Too, in Cedar Creek and had a good experience with them as well. We will be back with both of our Rottweilers.

Worry no more! They were so kind texting me pictures, sending messages assuring me my beloved dogs were being loved and cared for. When I got the pictures, I was able to enjoy my trip knowing they too were having a bit of a vacation from home. They were quite happy. The kennel also groomed them both so when I picked them up it was perfect! That's the place for me, even driving the extra miles, more than worth it. Pure gratitude and respect for this establishment. Whenever I need to board them, this is my choice!
