Beautiful location. Long lines. All usually pointing to a positive experience. Looked on YELP as I waited in line, ugh 3stars. Oh well, already here... Totally get the 3stars. Just an ok cup of coffee. Worst part, after waiting for 10min after ordering, it was warm. Thats sounds whiny, sorry. If I was near a microwave, I would've popped it in for 45sec and then given my stars. Drank my warm, ok coffee and moved on. My fault for not listening to YELP. read more

Very rude and unprofessional employees who are obviously racist and looking for any reason to kick out a group of black people. My family and I came here to walk around and take pictures. We were not customers of Tiny Tapp but they police that whole area and they definitely targeted us. My mom who has never been in this area before sat down at a patio table and started smoking a cigarette. An employee of Tiny Tapp walked up with a nasty attitude told my mom she needed to leave. My mom put her cigarette out immediately and said "I'm sorry I didn't know". But apparently that wasn't enough they had to publicly humiliate us! The employee went and got management who didn't care to hear our side of the story and told us again that we had to leave. To hell with this place and their employees I wish them all the worst. read more

The food was pretty decent. Unfortunately, our server must have been overwhelmed that day. She kept forgetting little things. Even forgot things she suggested. I won't go into detail. One thing I have to tell myself is this establishment is on the Chicago Riverwalk which can get pretty crowded on the weekends. Luckily, we did get seated fairly quickly and had a great view on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I still think Tiny Cafe is a good place to hang out if the conditions are right:) read more

Tiny Tapp is a great riverside bar/cafe on the Chicago riverwalk. A group of us recently visited on a Saturday night -- to set the scene, the riverwalk was poppin, tons of people out and about, and generally just enjoying a summer evening! We went looking for a central spot to meet up, hang out, have a drink, and enjoy the river -- enter Tiny Tapp. There are tons of tables, both next to the river and a little ways up... but be prepared for a wait. The host was happy to add us to the automated waiting list (30 min estimate and 20 min reality for reference), and we were seated immediately after that. There's a good selection of drinks, but the plastic cups give a... college bar vibe. Take that as you will! The servers are super friendly, but can get swamped -- be prepared to wait a while and maybe order multiple drinks at once if you're... especially thirsty. Another asterisk, it can get super loud if you're in the middle of the table clumps, just be prepared for that! Overall, I'd still recommend Tiny Tapp! It's great for 20-somethings visiting town, but I think it has plenty to offer for other bar-goers as well. read more

Can't beat the location right on the Riverwalk. Lots of tables with beautiful views of the river and perfect for walking, watching all the people walking and running on the Riverwalk path. I already had a coffee this morning, so decided to order a breakfast sandwich. It was definitely not the best; was hard and talked with fake American cheese. I'd give it a 3 for the food, 5 for the view, so average it out to a solid 4! read more

Great spot on the river, but very crowded and loud. They do not take reservations. We had a party of 6 and was told the wait would be about 15 minutes. It was closer to an hour. The cheese curds were great! Margarita flatbread was also very good! Beware they don't take cash and do not split the tab. Settling our bill became quite complicated as one person put the $200+ bill on her card, and we gave her cash. Oh, and there was no running water in the restroom! read more

Great spot along the river to grab a coffee or meal. They have a cafe option before the restaurant opens that is grab and go. We've done both while along the river. Great service and amazing views. It can get crowded but it's worth the wait read more

Great location that gives amazing views of Chicago riverwalk. Hosts are on the ball with reservations and let you know how long a table will take and it is always very accurate. Servers are friendly. Food is quite expensive for the portion size (smash burger does not come with fries) but the nachos are what I would recommend for value for money. Cocktails are great, especially the Henry one. One thing is that you can feel quite rushed to leave your table even if you are continuously ordering drinks. I would recommend coming here for great views of the Chicago riverwalk. read more

Very windy but very stunning River side eatery! You have to keep an eye out for your plates and cups they will fly away towards the water. The food was pretty good, though I mostly ate the appetizers and the side menu items. You can't really go wrong with french fries and some fried pickles. read more

Views: 4+ stars Coffee: 5 stars Sadly the breakfast food here deserves a 1 star. The breakfast sandwiches here were made with an English muffin (fine), bacon or turkey sausage (fine), and then multiple slices of cold American cheese(kraft singles?) followed by very overdone boiled egg. After a few bites we just took out the egg and cheese and it made the sandwiches much better. Hash browns: 5 stars (clearly not made in house and their breakfast sandwiches shouldn't be either) Servers were fine, no complaints there read more

Ordered the Frozen Henry Holiday, Roasted Corn Salad with Chicken, and waffle fries for lunch. Of course the scenery is the best part, but the salad was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Goat cheese definitely adds to a salad with vinaigrette dressing. The waffle fries had a good amount of salt and were crisp and crunchy. The Frozen Henry Holiday was just right, not overly sweet, and gave a nice buzz. Customer service at the bar was far from the best, the employee I ordered with was not friendly at all and not so helpful either. However, two other wait staff were extremely helpful getting me my missing salad dressing and taking my dishes away after I was done. I would still recommend for the amazing river view, food, and drinks. read more

Tiny Tapp Cafe is the perfect spot for a coffee or quick bite on a nice summer day. The Riverwalk views are the best and the atmosphere is always great with everyone enjoying the nice weather. They have plenty of seating and the staff is all so friendly. They have a cocktail & food area and a cafe - Both the frozen drinks and the coffee/lattes are amazing - Not overpriced given the location and experience you get while sitting on the riverwalk. Great eatery on the Riverwalk with a fantastic view of the Chicago River! We came here on a busy night but all the staff were fantastic and made sure we were tended to. Tiny Tapp is a nice vibe for a coffee along the river walk! Really nice ambiance. However the quality of the coffee and food is pretty medium. They don't have cold brew, only iced coffee. The chocolate muffin was ok, definitely not Olympic village level. A nice spot for something simple along the river, but not the highest esteemed coffee shop to me. read more

You can get pretty thirsty looking at all that water as you're taking a stroll on the riverwalk. There's no better place to stop and grab a nice cold, refreshing beer than Tiny Tapps. It was so nice to enjoy a beer with such a nice view on a warm, sunny afternoon. What more can you ask for than to sip on an afternoon hazy ipa while watching the many boat tours go back and forth across the river. I'll be back when I visit Chicago again. read more

Was a little taken aback at first with the price of the fries but it turns out it can feed two people comfortably - not to mention that it was delicious and flavorful. The staff was friendly and told us where to pick up our food as we opted to seat ourselves on a high top. There's plenty of seating around their area of the riverwalk though for full service. Great Happy hour spot! Can't beat the views and people watching on a summer day. Grab an open seat and then order drinks at the bar. They also have food available that can also be ordered at the bar. They will give you a buzzer and you can pick up from the kitchen when ready. If you want a seat close to the river, get there early. Self serve water is available at the bar too. We enjoyed Rose and the hummus sampler. read more

Other reviews about brunch here seem to be about the same and honestly I think it's funny they don't even try to elevate their food when so many say about the same things. I think the only reason why people come to this place is 1. It's located in Lincoln Park and 2. that makes it a trendy spot to eat. So why bother fixing anything when it's just trendy and flavorless Their brunch is mediocre but apparently dinner is where it's at. However after the experience with brunch I'm not even sure I would even go back.
