I consider Legacy Family the best one I've been to and have been with them for several years and plan on remaining here. I totally forget the days I scheduled my appointments for, but I always get an email from Legacy Family reminding me of my appointment and to confirm if I'm still happy with the day and time. All of the staff here is pleasant and nice to talk to. Every time I go, I'm seen by a different Dental Hygienist, and they've all been great. My most recent Hygienist went over what she's doing and even asked if I knew what the numbers mean when she was checking out my mouth. I knew it had something to do with gums, but not exactly sure. Turns out they're measuring how deep the gum pockets are and that anything between 1 and 3 means your gums are healthy, and anything over is something to watch and prevent from getting worse. I was really glad she explained what that was, because I always wondered if the numbers they were recording were good or bad! I legit look forward to coming in and getting my teeth checked & cleaned. The office is really clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Equipment is up to date as far as I can tell. So no caveman technology here and everything is accurate.

I started off absolutely loving Linworth Family Dental. I truly enjoyed my visits and cleanings in the beginning. The staff seemed close knit and their website appeared to bolster that sense of closeness. But after a couple of years, I noticed my favorite hygienists suddenly no longer working there. It started off with one or two staff, but then it felt like at the next appointment, I didn't recognize any of the hygienists. I understand that people move, change jobs, etc, but I was a little concerned. Another reason for my low rating is that with each passing appointment, more and more advertisements for beauty procedures (like Botox) were put on the walls. I've seen plenty of offices with pamphlets, which I understand, but it got to the point where they had a huge retractable banner in the lobby and pictures of clients (which happened to be staff) taped to the walls of every single exam room. It felt more like a cosmetic spa than a dentist office. An additional reason is that the cleaning during my last visit was very sloppy and rushed. The hygienist was a young girl who kept telling me about how stressed she was for losing the key fob to her dad's Mercedes Benz. She kept stopping to tell me the story instead of focusing on the cleaning. When it came time to put fluoride on my teeth, she globbed so much on that even my fiancé told me he'd never seen so much caked on someone's teeth (and lips) before. And the worst part? I was due to have my gums measured, which she told me at the beginning of my appointment, but she forgot to do it. I was so frustrated by the end that I didn't even bother to press. I just wanted to go. It was also at this appointment that I found out the dentist I had been seeing had left the practice. My last reason for why I won't be returning is because of the receptionists. My fiancé accompanied me to my last appointment and waited in the lobby while I had my cleaning. As we exited the building, he said he could hear the receptionists behind the front desk speaking poorly about a patient. He said it was uncomfortable sitting in the lobby hearing it all. I find that disheartening and unacceptable. TL;DR: Linworth Family Dental used to be a wonderful dentist office but the quality has gone downhill and the care is nowhere near what it used to be. The office is absolutely gorgeous. They really take the time and effort to make the experience as pleasant as possible. My first visit was because I needed a crown replacement, so just jumped right in to the full dental experience on this one! The patient beds/chairs are comfortable and I was given some headphones with relaxing music while they worked. The whole process didn't take too long and it was as painless as it could be! I've been back several times, both for cleanings and additional work. They got me in quickly for an urgent pain situation a while back and remedied the situation right then and there, thanks GOSH*! All the staff and docs are very friendly, professional and welcoming. Mike is awesome and quick with the cleanings! Dr Simon is a great addition and very good with checking in during work to make sure the patient is comfortable and doing ok. Will be going strictly to this dentist from now on!!! I took my mom and dad to their clinic today. They are on visiting visa and currently uninsured. My mom needed 2 extractions and Dr. Edwards and hygienist Nick were able to go above and beyond to take care of this the same day of the supposedly routine cleaning visit.
