I already had a missing tooth. This would make two missing teeth. The plan was to push the overbite in, and the two missing teeth spaces would close. Five years later, Dr. Shirck never got the spaces in my mouth to close. Since I had finished paying for my braces several years prior, he was no longer motivated to finish the job. He even began to speak to me in elevated levels from his frustration. We switched between braces and invisaligns, and the teeth were moving slowly. One visit, he brought up my health issues in the dental office in front of patients and staff. He named my health issues and said they were the reason why my teeth were closing slowly. He embarrassed me in a room full of people. I had surgery to resolve my main health issue, but Dr. Schirck refused to continue the treatment. He ended up removing my braces and putting a retainer on the top and bottom row. The retainer on my top row broke after a few months. So now I have two missing teeth and a gap starting between my two front teeth. My teeth look worse than when I started, and I had paid thousands of dollars. As an adult patient, I'm disgusted by Dr. Shirck's shabby work. Now, I'm going to another dentist to have the job done right. Dr. Shirck never gave a discount or any help replacing the healthy tooth he requested to have removed for absolutely no reason. I have to pay out of pocket to get expensive impants or have the damage repaired by a new dentist. My insurance was used up on Dr. Shirck. I'm completely disappointed and feel as if I were embarrassed and taken advantage of because of my age and race.

I was so impressed I am even finally having work done myself that I have put off for decades. I have had several orthodontists recommend I have work done but no one could offer me a solution I felt comfortable with. All of the other options included surgery and breaking bones in order to make space and improve my smile but with the imaging and technology Hutta & Hutta uses they could do computer modeling to improve my smile with maximum impact while minimizing the pain (no broken bones) and length of time of wearing braces. The staff has been warm, knowledgeable and so professional- they all really know their stuff and are passionate about making sure every patient is taken care of well. Their technology is far beyond what we experienced at the other office. It was like stepping out of 1980 tech and into modern medicine. The office is very inviting with the open spaces, lots of windows and light and the industrial decor gives the office a young and hip vibe, not to mention it is so convenient to get to for our family. Their own text message clearly states that the appointment will be canceled if it is not confirmed, and it does not mention any fee for failing to confirm. To be cautious, I even called and informed them personally a couple of hours in advance. Despite this, they still charged a fee. When I asked whether the clinic would compensate customers if the doctor canceled an appointment, the staff clearly said they do not. This one-sided policy feels unfair and unreasonable. Earlier, they even charged a fee when the patient was sick and unable to attend the appointment, which shows a complete lack of empathy. Overall, a very frustrating and misleading experience.
