Was really tempted to ask someone to buy together as there's a promo for 3 dozen and you get a dozen free. There's also a coupon on the back of the bag so don't throw it out. No where to sit but not really expecting to stick around. Can be a wait if there's a lot of people as only one person is making the donuts and one person doing cash. I was craving some donuts and don't want to go to Tim Hortons ever again (so unsanitary) IYKYK !!! But, going back to this place, Tiny Tom Donuts. It definitely deserves 4 stars in my book The donuts were pretty pricey at $7 for a dozen But I think you go for the experience, you get to watch your fresh batch of donuts made right in front of you basically from scratch. Then you get to choose your powdered topping, (I chose cinnamon), then you get a nice dozen fresh, hot and delicious batch. Oh, did I mention fresh, How fresh can it get when it comes right out from the donut maker while you watch. Finally, some hot and fresh Tiny Tom Donuts you can get outside of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE!), and it's right here in Markham! I've always known that there was a Tiny Tom Donuts shop here in Markham, but never once have I stepped foot inside. I always use to only get this treat once a year at the CNE, but that's about to change from now on. Stepping into the store, it's quiet, and there's no line up in there like you'd see at the Ex. However, the workers came out quickly to greet us and take our orders. The storefront is large with no seating and the best part is that you get to see the little donuts cook and float in the oil while making it's way down the conveyor belt to be packaged. There's four flavours to pick from: cinnamon, icing sugar, apple & cinnamon and chocolate. There was also a buy 3 dozen get the 4th dozen free, so I opted for all flavours other than chocolate (not a huge chocolate fan). All the flavours and donuts were amazing. Favourite being cinnamon, as it was such a classic growing up for me. Icing sugar would be the next best, followed by apple & cinnamon. These have to be eaten fresh or they get soggy pretty fast. However since they're so small, it's easy to pop them into your mouth and finish a bag yourself. Make sure to stop by to get your bag of Tiny Tom donuts. I absolutely hate that I happened upon a physical Tiny Tom Donuts location, because these little donuts are not only delicious, but they also bring back the memories of every time I've ever been to fairs and amusement parks. Just like these events, the service here is quick and friendly. I have been driving by Tiny Tom Donuts for years. I have always had the thought that I can simply drop by the CNE and get my tiny donut fix, to relive my fond memories going there. The problem? I haven't been to the Ex for several years. What if I have a hankering for these donuts and the Ex has Ex-ited for the year? Well, on Saturday, I needed to withdraw some cash from Scotiabank. The branch that I was at was next to Tiny Tom. Naturally, after taking out some dough, I needed to use it to get some doughy yumminess. I walked in just after noon on a Saturday. A cheerful woman said hi and asked what I'd like. I looked at the cute decor, which led me to the most simplistic menu I have seen in a while. I love minimalism. You can get 8 mini donuts for $3.50, or a dozen for $5. Since I had just had a late breakfast, I went with the former. I felt like I was at the Ex. I watched the donuts go into the hot oil, do their tour around the frying oil path, and come out of the oil onto a conveyor belt as if it had been at an amuse ride themselves. I wanted to give the apple 'n cinnamon flavour a try. I paid using cash, which explains a good strategy that this place is next to a bank. Debit is also accepted. I'm not sure about credit cards. I thanked the woman and headed into my car. I drove off popping each donut in my mouth. Each one tasted like apples and cinnamon. They were light and deliciously warm. I could have bought a dozen and devoured them all. I am so glad that I was driving and had some willpower left. Otherwise, I would have turned back to buy more. There is a coupon on the paper bag where if I buy two dozen, I get a third for free. I know that I can do it without sharing. Yes, I have the coupon and look forward to redeeming it down the road. It was wonderful reliving my memories of Tiny Tom Donuts at the Ex. They sell freshly deep fried tiny doughnuts, that they sprinkle with toppings like sugar, cinnamon, and apple cinnamon. Your goal is to delight in one of these sweet puffs while they're still soothingly warm and soft. They flavour is simple, but the satisfaction lifts the soul. Apparently they sell coffee too, which I can imagine is an appropriate pairing, but I'm only ever interested in the doughnuts. Are there fancier desserts than Tiny Tom doughnuts? Of course. I'm not sure what it is about fried dough with sugar on it but I'm seeing a trend. Normally I wait until the annual CNE to get my Tiny Tom but with COVID, the grand event hasn't happened in 2 years. :( Cinnamon sugar is the bomb and you won't regret it. They're good fresh and if you take it home, I highly recommend using the air fryer to reheat it back to its fluffy fried state. Or just eat them as is - sweetest treat around. Kids and kids alike (okay, just me) really enjoy watching the dough get fried and the employees adding your topping of choice. It is SO amazing that you can buy these all year long and not just at the CNE or Markham Ribfest. These delicious donuts are made fresh to order and it didn't take long at all! First time I tried these little nuggets. They're bite size donuts, and come with a choice of dustings. I paid $3.50/8 tiny tots & picked the apple cinnamon sugar. The good thing was that they came fresh-to-order, so your donut isn't sitting on a shelf gathering dust. Eaten hot off the conveyer belt, they tasted pretty good. But if you leave them out for longer than an hour, they turn doughy. I'd still pick Krispy Kreme any day, but as far as donuts go, I've had worse! Would I buy them again? Been craving doughnuts since watching a documentary on carnival food. Didn't want to settle for cold, holes in holes of dough at Tim Horton's, so I made a special trip here. These doughnuts are fried fresh on the spot and you can watch the whole thing happen as it pops out of the mold into the oil and swims in a spiral formation until it's cooked and lands on a conveyer belt, and ends up in the bag. Aside from it being hot and fresh, the tiny golf ball shaped doughnuts are airy and super fluffy. If you pinch them, they will depress! Shake them in the bag while it's still hot so the icing at the bottom of the bag coats onto the doughnut's oil. Apple Cinnamon: tastes mostly cinnamony but is worth a try. On the various occasions I've been, I've never seen another customer. Best part is, you no longer have to go to Wonderland or wait for CNE to have these donuts. I can't actually eat these donuts, so I can't tell you how good they are. I bought four dozen (buy three get one free!) with their four different flavours as a gift for a friend. I enjoyed watching the donuts get made right in front of me, and they smelled great in the car. My friend was very happy with them. Was on my way to pick up a package, realize this is close by. Highly recommend by my friend for hot fresh donut. I pull up into the parking lot, and in I went. They still have the buy 3 get 1 free promotion, but I want to just try it. So got 2 dozen, icing and cinnamon. The whole process of seeing your donut getting into the fryer, it slowly fried to golden, I just couldn't compose myself any longer. The visual and smell stimulus is so good. As I get into my car, I thought I'll be a gentlemen and waiting for my girlfriend as I'm on route to pick her up. The donut are hot and crisp, icing is my favorite. I drove by this place a few weeks ago nestled up in a quasi-dodgy industrial area. I glanced at the sign and made a U-turn to see what all the hype (thanks Sarah L.) was about. I opted for the classic -- icing sugar donuts. Just a dozen. It was interesting to see them being made fresh from this dough dispensing vat. The aroma reminded me of fresh funnel cake from Canada's Wonderland that I used to love so much. On with the verdict: it was ok. Just ok. It didn't deliver on texture (the dough didn't seem cooked fully, and it stuck to the insides of my mouth) or value. For $3.50, you get 12 bite sized donuts. In comparison, I could take this $3.50 and invest it in three egg tarts, a Jamaican beef patty, and a mini empanada...and still have change to give to a crazy homeless person. read more

I am drooling as I write this just thinking about my last Tiny Tom Donuts encounter. I went here (to the store on Denison) a couple of weeks ago, on a weekday, around 2pm and there was no one there! It's a good thing because it was during my work, so I couldn't be standing around waiting in a line for too long. The guy who took my order and made my donuts was very nice and put the order through quickly. It is interesting to watch the donuts being made right in front of you, but I've seen it so many times as a kid and try not to look at it anymore as you start thinking about HOW BAD IT IS FOR YOU! :P After it's coated in apple cinnamon sugar, you forget about the large vat of oil it was just soaked into and just enter into a giant sugar coma.
