The cashier quickly greeted us and told us a quick rundown about what they had, and where to order. There was so much food to pick from and it was hard to pick just one meal. The sides are small, but they also accompanied my dish with a bread roll, some barbecue sauce, and a jalapeño with onions. This ranged from dry goods to canned goods and fresh produce to frozen goods. It definitely helps if you speak Spanish. Plus... todo está etiquetado en español. The people who work at Midland Meat are so incredibly helpful and nice! They did not hesitate to ask me how I was doing and to answer any questions that I had. I didn't get her name but there was one girl helping me who incredibly amazing. She gave me her recommendations of which ribeye she thought was good and type of seasonings to put on it. The shop also has a big selection of seasonings and some vegetables on the side. They also sell better and give out free potatoes. When my daughter and I walked in on the afternoon of 2/10/2024, we were not welcomed. None of the 3 employees smiled at us. No music was playing. We were never asked if we needed help. Then two groups walked in after us and were quickly greeted and music was turned on. It really ticked me off. Then my daughter started picking out candy and showing me. One employee followed us and watched us like a hawk. It was very uncomfortable. I told my daughter to put the candy back because I didn't feel welcome there & we walked out. The candies were mostly of the Mexican variety and in bulk packaging. Most likely unbeknownst to them, I grew up eating much of the items they sold, but I have no problem walking out when I am not welcome. There weren't many supplies except some party favors, piñatas, and balloons. This is a brand new store so it was very clean with ample parking in a plaza lot.
